QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

SPLOTCH
Splotch gave a panicked yip as her teeth snapped shut on nothing but air, clicking audibly. She was scared, so scared, fear and adrenaline running through her veins. What had she done to this goose?! Why was it targetting her?! How could a Gembound become so monsterous!? All she'd been doing was getting a drink, and now she was stretched out on the ground, blinded, with the goose atop her. She twisted, squealing as she found herself pinned down by the scruff of her neck. Still being young enough to be a pup, the Wild Dog instinctively went limp.
Round: 4 Attempt: Fight the urge to go limp Defense: none Injuries: burst eyes, torn up side

The dog went limp underneath Blackberry and her first, twisted thought was that she better not have died so soon - she hadn't had any fun with her just yet. Just as she had had fun with her in hell. Claws ripping, teeth flashing, howling, laughing, ripping, laughing, NO.
The anger surged through her body and everything crushed down on the dog harder. The teeth in her beak ripped harder at the dog's neck with the claws pushed deeper into the dog's body. She was so angry, so ANGRY. She would spill this dog's guts and spread her blood across the ground. Crush her body, grind the bones to dust! Destroy her!
Round: 5
Attempt: STAB HARDER
Defense: natural defenses, holding her down
Injuries: minor scars, cuts along her side, bite wound

SPLOTCH
Splotch whimpered pitifully, struggling to fight her instincts that told her to go limp, surrender. After all, the bird had her by the scruff of her neck, it was instinctual.
And then she was in hell. Teeth broke through her nape, and she cried out, a horrific inhuman screeching tearing from her chest as her flesh gave under the goose's claws. She twitched, trembling under it, only to splatter blood everywhere. A large tear was rent in her stomach, intestines spilling out onto the dirt. Through the tear one could see her heart racing, her lungs rapidly working to try and keep her alive.
Round: 5 Attempt: scream and scream and scream and scream Defense: none Injuries: burst eyes, torn up side, open stomach, spilled intestines, bitten neck.

At the blood bursting from the dog's side and the screams howling from her throat, as well as the blood splatting into Blackberry's mouth and all across her feathers, she completely lost it. For a moment, she released the dog's scruff and raised her head to the ceiling and let out a screaming cry of victory before she plunged back in.
The dog wasn't fighting back now, only fighting the oncoming tide of death. She would do what she could before it hit. Make the pup's life a living hell. This all would have gone through her head in any other time. But right now, the only thing that concerned her was, well, nothing. She was gone.
Her beak stabbed into the dogs shoulders over and over against while she crushed harder with her stomach claws. Meanwhile, she brought up her talons and began to scourge them across everything she could reach - legs, hind, side, any piece of skin. Her wings batted crazily above her as she screamed and honked as she stabbed over and over with her beak, digging up more and more blood, cracking bones, ripping skin and fur and muscle and tissue. Opening the dog up, one piece at a time. Brutal and disgusting, but beautiful and pleasure to her. Wonderful. Delicious. She needed more. More. MORE.

SPLOTCH
She wanted to die.
If there was mercy, she would die. Or black out. But if she blacked out, she'd still have the pain when she woke up. So she hoped she died.
But until then, she was in Hell.
The Wild Dog screamed and screamed and screamed, unable to do anything else. She'd never thought a bird could cause so much pain, do so much damage. But the bird was tearing her apart, impossibly sharp talons pulling out her skin. Her legs were stripped, her hindquarters, her side. She couldn't hear anymore, her ears ringing, agony rushing through her as bones were shattered and skin was torn. All she could do was scream and scream and scream.

There came a point, a time that Blackberry never thought would happen, that she knew it was time to stop. The dog underneath her was a bloody mess, somehow still alive and screaming. She had enjoyed her time completely tearing about this poor gembound, but it was time she ended it. She tried to think about the best way to go about it. She could rip out its throat, just like she had the bird, or she could stab it straight in the heart. Or, perhaps, she could tear its gem right out of its body, just to see what would happen.
Yes, that was what she would do. She released the dog from her claws and stepped to her side. She hadn't seen the gem on the dog's back so she assumed it would be somewhere on the front. She pushed the bloodied creature onto its back and noticed a glint in its pelt. A little glimmering green. The gem, just under its leg.

The dog's screams died down to breathless whines, then little whimpers. She was in more pain than she could ever have imagined, and longed to stop existing.
She whined quietly, jaw moving as she attempted to voice her pleas. But, it seemed, she hadn't the breath to speak.
A roll is required to determine whether or not Blackberry was successful in removing the gem. A roll is required for all important actions. Othetwise Splotch may be damaged and capable of fleeing and recovering.

She didn't hesitate. She raised a talon and thrust it into the dog's chest, grasping the emerald embedded in its skin and, with a huge tug, ripped it clean out. She tugged as hard as she could and got the gem about halfway through her skin.
