Whenever Faelan's jaws snapped closed on empty air, instead of a mouthful of feathers, he actually felt a wave of relief wash over him. He didn't want to hurt the pair of Gembounds, but he was the only one that felt that way apparently. As if to make that point even more obvious, the two of them attacked as one.

The moose's bellow had distracted Faelan so that Blackberry was able to snake her head up and latch on to his exposed ear. With a pained roar, the lion jerked his head around and caught sight of the other Gembound running straight toward him at the last moment. Once again, the moose had his antlers positioned straight out for optimal ramming power. Only this time, Faelan was powerless to stop it.

However premature the antlers might be, they still hurt worse than anything he could have imagined. Faelan had never felt much pain before now, and this hit was, by far, the worst one yet. Not only had the moose hit him head-on in the ribcage, but he was also thrashing his antlers about, digging deeper into the skin. Panic, from being battered at one side and drug down by the weight of a crazy goose on the other, made the lion's magic lash out.

The ground around the trio of Gembounds shuddered, vibrating from Faelan's magic. It didn't last more than a few seconds, but it was something. Which was more than had happened last time he called to his magic. This time hadn't been wholly intentional, but it had come nonetheless.

Blackberry's teeth sunk into the lion's ear and, suddenly, she was being thrown around. She snarled as she hung on when, suddenly, there was a rumbling that threatened to dislodge her. She tried to clamp her beak tighter around the lion's ear so that she wouldn't fall off and let herself be flung. Perhaps the movement would cause the lion more pain then simply hanging on.

Bleu had no clue what was going on. One moment, he was goring the lion with his poison covered antlers, the next the cround was shaking. Was it the lion? Like before? It it weren't for the antlers stuck in the lion, Blue would have stumbled and fallen.

However, as soon as the ground stopped shaking, Blue pulled away, shaking his head and glaring and the big cat. Miss Blackberry was still holding on tight, which was good. The more pain the better, he guessed. Though, why were they doing this? Was it necessary? Did they have to hurt this creature?

Blueberry decided they didn't, but Miss Blackberry wanted to. And if that's what she wanted to do, then that's what they'd do. Planning for his next attack, Blueberry backed away to get a running start. Then, he shot forward and reared up last minute, aiming to hit the lion with his sharp hooves.

But instead of bringing his hooves down on the lion, he reared to far and fell backward, landing on his back. hat hurt a bit. Rolling over, Blue backed away, staying away from the immediate danger. Magick was a thing, but sharp claws and teeth were also a thing.

With a goose hanging from his ear, a moose tearing into his side and the ground shaking beneath his paws, Faelan struggled to find his footing. He stumbled first to the left, since Blackberry insisted on hanging on, and then to the right whenever the moose finally moved away. The lion didn't have time to wonder what his hooved opponent was up to though, he had to focus on the one attached to him.

Since Faelan had never had a goose, or anything else for that matter, stuck on his ear, he had very few ideas on how to get it off. Truthfully, only one popped into his panicked thoughts, so that was the plan he went with. The lion let Blackberry's weight drag his head down to the left side. Then, with as much force as he could muster, he snapped his head in an arc to the right. He intended for the avian's weight to sling her off of him, and send her flying, but he misjudged just how light she actually was.

Blackberry felt a sudden pull from the lion and she was being flung in the air. However, she was strong enough not to let go and ended up crashing onto his head. But this was a good position, now to do damage other then hanging off of his ear skin.

But she wasn't going to let go. If she did, he'd only end up shaking her off or using that annoying ground shaking thing. So, still hanging onto his ear, she started using her wings to pummel at his head, although the wing that the dark wolf had broken was weaker then the other.

Blue began immediatly trying to fix his mistake, trying to grow vines to ask to trap the lion. But he was still too focused on his failure, and he couldn;'t grow anything. Blue shook his head and muttered a quick "I'm sorry Miss.", before preparing to try again.

Whenever Blackberry's feathered frame slammed on to Faelan's head, instead of flying away through the air, he let out a rumbling growl. Why wouldn't this fiend let go, he wondered wildly. Then, the Gembound's wings were flapping all over his head and face and he couldn't think about anything else except the flurry blows.

They didn't hurt very much, but they were distracting and disorienting. Faelan could barely keep up with which side was hitting him, but after a moment, he realized one wing was slower than the other. So, the lion focused all of his attention on that side, willing himself to do what he hadn't been able to before. Then, as fast as he possibly could, he snapped out and tried to clamp down on Blackberry's lame wing so that he could finally rip her off of him.

Blackberry stood on the lion, her beak clamped on his ear and her wings raining blow after blow. She smirked, sure that it was causing him great pain, but then, suddenly, he turned around and his huge teeth close on her bad wing. Terror jumped into her and she imagined the bone snapping beneath his grip, to never heal ever again. However, his grip wasn't powerful enough to break the bone.

Still, it was horrifying to be ripped so violently away. An instinct deep in her activated and, suddenly, a strong spark raced through her body from her gem, trying to push towards the lion's body through their contact. It didn't last long and a moment later she was flying through the air and she smacked hard on the ground.

Winded, she sat there for a moment before she shakily got to her feet and faced the lion, ready to shoot into the air, should he charge.

Blue gave up on the vines. He did not need them. He was a strong, feirce beast. And beasts like him needed no aid. Blueberry told himself that over and over for a solid minute, before he prepared to attack once more. Blue ran forward, his hooves making loud noises against the cold floor of the room. He reared up, and fell down to stomp on the lion's paw, but he missed.

Blue backed away, is head hung low. He was useless in this fight. He couldn't do anything, except shove some poison into the lion. But how useful was that?? It hadn't seemed to weaken the creature any, just cause him more pain. Blue let a rumble escape him, and glared at the lion. This was his fault. Blue didn't know how, but it was the lion's fault.
