At some point, in the time it took for her to swoop toward the youngster and pin him down, he lashed at her with an outcry of disbelief: that she would lack pride to the point of attacking a babe. But really, Liora had no shame. Hadn't he heard the rumors she spread? Didn't he know who she was? She was the princess of the motherfucking Bonebound. She could do what she wanted, honor or not. She had no shame - and far too much pride for her own good.

She made contact with him but as she attempted to pin him down, he managed to spit heat at her underside, scorching her once again. Liora crowed with anger, thrusting him away as she launched back into the air, wings beating furiously in an attempt to escape the pain. But it latched onto her. It burned, it sizzled; her feathers wilted and curled at the magma clinging to her body. "AAAAAAAAAAA!" she screamed, fluttering mid-air as she tried to dislodge the steaming bile.

Once she realized it was fruitless, Liora turned her wrath back to the youngling. She angled her body down toward him, hoping to grab one of his wings in her talons.

...and missed, clearly distracted by the burning pain on her underside. As a result, Liora landed hard on the ground beside him, flaring her wings in an attempt to retain her balance.

Glory felt satisfaction at the bird's screaming cry as she released him. He jumped to his feet and shook himself out, his young feathers rumpled and fluffed with disgust. What a horrid creature, needing so badly to prove its superiority to attack a child! He would never get over that. He would never respect this bird, never!

He prepared to get out of the way as she came in for attack again, but it seemed it didn't have to as she missed horrible. But he didn't take the time to revel in this small triumph. He lahsed forward towards Liora, who was, in fact, not far away, and he felt his talons begin to burn. He cringed, but managed to bear through the pain as he brought his talons down on the bird. He wasn't quite ready for the problem of balance, though, and started to fall, barely holding himself up with his fluttering wings, causing the attack to be lighter then he had intended. But hopefully painful nonetheless.

Ou, did her stomach ever hurt! But it wasn't like this was anything new to Liora. She'd gotten hurt before. She'd been burnt, and bruised, and cut, and tousled; rather, it was the fact that she had been injured by a youngling that stung the most. The tiny bird was clearly no older than a cycle or two, and yet he managed to hit her like, three times! This certainly wouldn't do!

Ruffling her feathers, Liora turned to her opponent and hopped closer with her wings arched wide at her sides, intending to strike again when he, instead, lashed out at her. She felt that familiar heat lash against her breast and cracked her beak open wide, uttering a shriek of rage, and sailed her sharp, gaping beak toward his neck with the intention to tear.

The bird's shriek of anger was both emboldening to Glory, for he was doing damage - standing up to a big, nasty bully! But it also made him worry because she happened to be much bigger then him and very angry. Within a few seconds, he felt her sharp beak tearing at the side of his neck and he howled with pain. Blood began to run down his side from the wound and he lashed out instinctively, his beak growing hot to the touch. He wanted it to skewer into her side, open a wound under her wing, but it wasn't nearly as strong as he wanted, his blind strike throwing off his aim.
