Huckleberry shook her head at Kin-Kin's request, one of her claws tapping impatiently. "No, no, sorry, yes. I won't shock you, no I won't." Huckleberry did not, in fact, know if she would be shocking Kin-Kin or not - it seemed that sometimes she simply lost control. Hopefully she wouldn't, though.

She lifted herself a little bit so that Kin-Kin could get underneath her, but when the dog slipped and fell, she hissed with surprise and frustration. She couldn't have this. She needed to get back to her family and apologize! Now! The point of riding on Kin-Kin's back so that it would go faster - if she couldn't even pick her up, then that was a problem.

Not willing to wait for Kin-Kin to try again, Huckleberry crawled close and grabbed at Kin-Kin's back with their talons, trying to hoist herself up. She pushed off against the stone ground with her hooves and managed to get some of her torso up, but then she felt herself slip a little bit as the cape started to shift. She would probably need a little help.

Kin-Kin let out a muffled grunt of surprise as the youngster decided to take matters into their own claws, snaggling on her cape and messing up her neatly-groomed glowing fur. She resisted the urge to chide, eager as she was to get the whole ordeal over with, and simply pinned her ears back and dealt with the uncomfortable sensation of being grabbed at.

Her lip lifted slightly in a displeased expression which likely wouldn't be visible from the hybrid's point of view.

Kin-Kin swiftly turned her head around and lifted the youngster's rump with her nose, shoving them onto her back so that they would be draped over her back atop the cape she wore. It might be a little slippery, but so long as the weight was evenly distributed, not too hard to hold on and stay there.

Once she was certain that the hybrid was well positioned, she began padding towards the entrance to tunnel N, the route almost second nature from all her years travelling between the two caverns. It wouldn't take them long to arrive.

Huckleberry felt Kin-Kin's nose push them the rest of the way onto her back and they suddenly froze up when they felt themselves settle onto her back. For a moment, the world fell away and they felt completely helpless, their body unable to move, completely frozen in time. They blinked and looked around wildly, upsetting their balance for an instant before their wings instinctively opened a bit to keep them steady. They came suddenly back to reality to Kin-Kin already walking along the cave towards the tunnel.

Terrified that they would fall, they gripped the cape as best they could and kept their wings steady, all thought of their pain far behind their shock that they would ever have thought of this. Couldn't they have just walked? Why were they so stupid?! They didn't know Kin-Kin at all! They'd met her barely an hour ago!

But they couldn't go back now. They would see Mama soon. Everything would be okay then, right?
