The moo friend helped Fallah to not collapse to the ground. Breathlessly, the cat mumbled a thank you and sunk down to the ground slowly to rest. Had it always been this hot? Sure, the caves were heating up, but was it always this fast and this hot? The moo friend asked what to do, and before long, it seemed Fisher was near too. Did that mean he was okay? The long brown friend apparently shared the worry, asking if Fallah was okay. That didn’t matter! Could Fisher see again? Water magic sometimes did this, but eyes don’t normally do the thing they were doing to Fisher, Fallah thought. Weakly, the cat spoke up, "Mhm. You? Are you?" It would move to look at the long brown friend, but Fallah’s sight was all dizzy and it was hard to make out one shape from another. The cat knew it had to get more water. If it could let water out, surely it could let water in. Fisher suggested they (or maybe just him and Sadie) go to Eridanus. Fallah aimed to stop them, "Wait, Fish-er..." The cat took a slow breath and tried to steady itself. If it could do this spell right, it could help itself and no one would get hurt.

Maybe the cat was too tired, maybe the magic ran out, Fallah didn't know, but when the cat tried to absorb water, its pores opened and drenched its fur instead. The cat coughed roughly, its tongue completely dry. With the lack of water, Fallah had began to shake slightly, losing all the power to stand or move. The cat fell weakly to its side, panting and blinking hard to try to keep the moister in its eyes. It went to say something, but a spasm of coughs took over. It was so hot. Everything was so foggy. The lynx looked towards Fisher, then to Sadie, though its eyes were unfocused. Before anything else could be said, Fallah's eyes rolled back, leaving the feline in a state of unresponsive consciousness.

It seemed that Fallah was well enough to speak, at least, and she asked if Fisher was alright. 'Twas quite selfless of the lynx, seeing as her own condition seemed decidedly more dangerous. Even Sadie could tell that, young though she might be.

The long brown creature's eyes did indeed seem to have been fixed, and Sadie nodded in response to his words. If it was the loss of all that water that had brought Fallah to this state, then surely replacing it would fix her. While Sadie did not yet know that 'Eridanus' was the name that was attached to her birthplace, she trusted Fisher when he said that there was lots of water there. She would follow him, but the calf first looked down again at her feline friend, wondering if they should bring the lynx with them, or bring water back. Was either option even possible?

Then Fallah told them to wait. Did the lynx have any other water powers that could help? Sadie wasn't sure that the lynx should even try in her current state, but the damage was done before she could say anything. The cat's coat darkened with moisture, and a coughing fit began to rack her frame. "Fallah?" Their already bad situation had gotten worse, and now Fallah couldn't even speak. A moment later she lost consciousness, and she didn't respond at all when Sadie nosed her shoulder, or called her name. It was up to Sadie and Fisher to find water now, and the clock was ticking.

Bring Fallah with them would probably be the fastest route to heal the lynx. Perhaps Sadie could carry her. Fisher could probably drape Fallah over the calf's back. Lying down next to Fallah, Sadie looked at the long brown creature desperately. "Carry Fallah. You help?" Hopefully he would understand what she meant.

Fisher's ears perked when Fallah told him to wait, hoping she had a better idea... But then she seemed to do something even worse and faint and a horrible crawling sensation went through his fur. He looked at Sadie as she laid down and spoke to him. He nodded sheepishly, a bit nervous, but he had to act fast.

Thankfully acting fast was in the tiny fisher cat's nature. Although the lynx was bigger and heavier than him, he hoped that it wouldn't be too hard to shove her on to the cow. "R-right," he chittered, mumbling as he scrambled over.

His eyes still stung a bit, but he found it wasn't so bad when he closed them. With a grunt, he tried to get his nose and forepaws under Fallah's belly and did his best to haul her up on to Sadie. Despite everything, he seemed to have enough strength to lift her up just enough to get her front bits over Sadie's neck and, with a bit more shoving, center her enough that she would stay. He panted with the effort, his coat damp with the wetness of his friend's coat.

"Okay, we good?" He asked, tilting his head. "Just follow me." Taking a deep breath, he started to head down the tunnel towards Eridanus, making sure to carefully pick the path that would be the least icy out of them all. Sadie's hooves didn't seem to be made for ice like his sticky, textured paw pads.

Omfrikin'g crit success maybe now we can get the armor XDDDDDD

Everything was a bit slurred and spinny and Fallah couldn't really understand anything that was going on. The lynx mumbled slightly, or maybe it was groaning. Even after the lynx would recover, there would be no recollection of the events. Though the cat's breathing was steady, it was shallow. It was obvious Fallah was suffering. Small shivers ran through the gembound's frame. Water. It needed water. The cat felt itself being moved, though it didn't understand where or why. It could smell Fisher and feel him as he pushed Fallah up. Everything stopped moving then and the cat tried again to focus. It needed to cast a spell. It needed to absorb water. It needed...

Fallah's pores opened up and water flooded in. It seemed as if the water could come right out of the air and into the gembound's body. The lynx gasped, its lower jaw glowing with magic, the blue undertones in Fallah's fur following suit as Fallah's whole body tensed under the spell. Even the cat's eyes seemed to light up as water entered the animals body, restoring equilibrium. Though the water hydrated the cat, it fell, slumping over Sadie's back for a moment, "That's... That's it..." it panted, shivering a bit. The lynx righted itself, laying across Sadie's broad back, "Sorry I didn't-" the cat started, cut off by a sudden lurching of its stomach. Fallah turned and dry heaved over the side of the moo friend. When it passed, the feline rested lengthwise down the cow's back weakly, "I didn't mean to... all that."

Thankfully, Fisher reacted quickly. The calf's green gaze followed him as he moved to Fallah's side. Sadie was careful to stay completely still as Fisher lifted the lynx as best as he could and hauled Fallah over her neck. The cat was surprisingly heavy, but Sadie was pretty sure that she could manage carrying her nonetheless. Cows are sturdy creatures after all. Besides, it wasn't like they had that many other options.

Sadie was preparing to stand up, moving her front legs slowly and carefully into the position required of them, when a sudden gasp from Fallah made the calf turn her head to look at her instinctively. The unexpected sight of glowing blue Fallah caused Sadie to start, though fortunately the movement didn't dislodge the lynx from her back. Was Fallah...casting another spell?

Sadie watched her tensely as Fallah glowed for a few more moments, turning the calf's golden coat and the cave floor blue, hoping that nothing bad was happening to her friend, yet again. Then the light faded and Fallah collapsed again, though conscious this time, shivering against Sadie's curly fur. "Fallah?" the calf said, her tone adding an unspoken 'Are you alright?' to the word. Sadie was relieved when the feline moved again, starting to speak, though the words were quickly cut off as she started retching over Sadie's side. Fortunately for the calf's golden coat, nothing came up.

Eventually Fallah was able to finish to her sentence. "It's awright, Fallah. Was accident." The calf tried to reassure her feline friend with still-imperfect speech. As long as Fallah was alright, Sadie was happy.

Fisher was, sincerely, surprised that Fallah awoke so quickly. Life seemed to come back into the feline, as though whatever horrible magic had almost killed her had faded and she had gently come back to life. His ears twitched as he looked up at the floppy cat on the giant cow, his tail flicking nervously from side to side.

"Um, are you okay, Fallah?" He asked, timidly, echoing Sadie's own words. He didn't really know what to say, but something reminded him of that strange thing that the pair of them had been looking for. His ears twitched, and with a bit of caution, he glanced around. He wasn't sure what to do, but Fallah seemed to be feeling somewhat better and maybe didn't need water right away?

He carefully padded around the large hoofbeast carrying his best friend and sniffed around, blinking his bleary eyes. "Do you want to go... To... Um... Water, still? I can lead the way..." He filled the empty space of his searching with his words, tentative and unsure of the whole situation.

.. And then Fisher spotted it. "Wait!" He barked, fur fluffing up as he wriggled over to the blurry dark shape under the ice. That was it, wasn't it?! "I found the thing!"

I am so sorry. XD

Fallah nodded at the pair, trying to affirm how okay everything was. The lynx didn't say much when Fisher offered to lead the way to water. Everything felt better, other than being tired, but was it really? Fallah wasn't sure.

Fisher stopped suddenly when he say the thing. The shiny thing, whatever that was, was still there. Fallah perked up. Oh yeah, that thing! Fallah jumped down and ran to Fisher's side and began to paw at the thing, "How do we get it?" the feline would ask softly, turning to look at the long brown friend with crystal blue eyes.
