It was a nice, lazy day.

Of course, for Beyr, every day was a lazy day. He stood, he slept, he grazed, he slept, he drank, he slept. Life was good.

The colt grunted, flicking his tail and lowering his head, chewing on the grass. It was rather dry, but he wasn't picky. And then, to his utmost luck, a patch of clovers sprung up by his hoof. Lowering his head, he took the sweet plants into his mouth and began to chew.

Those tasted good.

The horse grunted contentedly, before raising his head. Damn, they were all gone. But they tasted so good, he wanted some more.

And then, some more sprouted from his hoof. He gave a low grunt, and lowered his head to bite them.

Beyr tilted his head, staring down at where the clover spot had been. Damn, he was out. They had tasted good while they were there, at least.

However, after a long moment, he brought two and two together. He had made those, hadn't he? So could he do that again? The colt brought up one leg, and then set a massive hoof on the ground. From his hoof, sprouted a clover patch. It was smaller than before, and a yellowish in color, but they still tasted rather good.

Swallowing down the small mouthful of clovers, Beyr stared down at the place where they had grown. He scuffed a hoof on the ground, and twitched his tail, before attempting to grow some more.

Thankfully, another patch grew in the last one's place. And this one was larger, a handsome green in color.

Beyr lowered his head, tearing the clovers out of the ground. The roots were chewed into a pulp between his flat teeth, and it wasn't long before they vanished down his gullet.

The clovers vanished in three swallows, and the colt pressed his hoof into the ground again. The clovers, like before, were a pale yellow-ish in color, and there was only a small number of them.

Those clovers didn't taste as good, but he didn't hesitate to eat them. They were food, and they were edible. That was good enough for him.

But soon they, too, were on. He flicked his ears and swished his tail, before creating even more clovers from his hoof.

The colt leaned down to eat the clovers that he had grown, chewing them easily. They were nice and sweet, and he decided that clovers were his favorite food.

Unfortunately, they didn't seem to last very long. The growing colt was, seemingly, constantly hungry. So he grew some more, and ate those too.

His stomach full, and his head weary, the colt allowed his head to droop as he began to doze.
