Ocelot and Rast finally made it in Eridanus. This place was just beautiful, this place was perfect...almost.

”I think we can live here. It’s a bit messy, but we can make it work. Be careful where you step. I’ll guide you.”

Ocelot knew this place would be difficult for her to adjust to when she was blind but given enough time and he believed she could do it. He guided her slowly, sniffing around. They just needed to find somewhere to shelter in this place now. Somewhere they could rest.

The scent of the air had changed drastically. This was Rasts first indicator that they were no longer in the tunnel that they had traveled in for so long. Instead of feeling the cold snow under her paws, she felt grass. Something told her this place was full of living things. When the breeze ruffled her fur, she could hear trees and plants rustling.

"What is this place?" She mewed, standing still for a moment to take in the scent and sound. "It smells so nice..."

Rast followed him, lagging a little further back but still remaining in contact. The snow leopard was tired. Her aching wounds pleaded with her to stop moving and rest. But we are so close...

Cecei was currently in one of the nests which she had built herself however talking had drawn her attention. When she looked down she saw too young cubs. She looked to Rast in concern, seeing the missing eye. She even noticed the gem in the other eye. Cecei flew down to a lower branch in front of the two and spoke softly.

“This place is called Eridanus. It’s covered in foliage, trees, plants, it’s beautiful. If...if you don’t mind me asking, what happened to you?”

She watched the girl closely then turned to the male. He seemed to be helping her, guiding her and that made her smile. It was nice to see gembounds helping each other.

Ocelot opened his mouth to answer when a bird flew down and answered for him. He stared at her for a moment before turning back to Rast. It wasn’t his place to say what happened, but he can at least give some information.

”She got into a fight, I’ve been looking after her ever since. Now, if you excuse us.”

He looked back to Rast and gave her a few sniffs. There was a lot to explore and she had been walking for a while now.

”Rast, do you want to rest here a little? We’ve walked a lot and we got a lot to explore before we find shelter.”

He sniffed her again and then gave a little lick on the ear. After that he looked to the bird again, watching her closely.

Max barked, bounding along without a care in the world. This Cave was so full of smells and green things and things that he liked to crunch beneath his teeth!

There were a lot of alive things, too! Things that he had chased before getting distracted by another. Oh boy, he wished Humphrey was here! The fox would love it here, he would!

He skidded to a stop, raising his head and perking his ears at the sound of voices. Oh boy! Friends!

Without a second thought, he barreled in the direction of the sounds, quickly coming across an interesting group. A black bird sat in the trees, while a pair of cats were on the ground. He barked excitedly, prancing from paw to paw - oh, he wanted to chase them, he did!

"Hello my name is Max!" he rambled. Looking at Cecei, "Oh wow you have wings can you fly? I would love to fly, I would! It'd be fun and I could chase all the things!"

Then, to the cats. "Wow you are very fluffy and look very soft and your eyes are very very blue! I like blue! You are both cats so may I chase you?"

The snow leopard stiffened at the sound of a new voice. Every new voice seemed to startle her. This one told her this was Eridanus. A beautiful place. Too bad I won't be able to see it. She thought bitterly. The question was asked of what had happened to her. Rast recoiled internally at the possibility of having to answer. Luckily, Ocelot spoke for her. He was not afraid to act as her voice as well as her eyes. For that she was lucky, because lately she felt less and less inclined to socialize.

"I wouldn't mind resting for a little while." She mewed, nuzzling into Ocelots side the best he could.

With that she sat down right where she stood, ready to rest. Ocelot didn't seem stressed by the presence of the bird. The flap of it's wings gave away what it was. Perhaps this place wasn't bad at all...

Hello, my name is Max!

Once again, Rast jumped. The next voice was male, but very excited. He sounded very young. Innocent. In a way she was happy for this other gembound. She was, however, not happy enough for him to let herself get chased.

"Oh no, I won't be any good at chase... Please don't."

Cecei listened to Ocelot then watched as the girl began to rest. It must of been a hard journey for her with no sight. She opened her mouth to speak when another came. She looked down to him. At first he spoke to her, then he turned to Ocelot and Rast and spoke to them. Taking a quick glance at them, she could tell they weren't in the mood for chase, even before Rast spoke.

"I can fly Max, why don't I show you? We could help the two cats by looking for somewhere they can rest."

Cecei gave a small smile and spread out her wings, she flew down attempting to land on Max, but she came down a little too fast, so she brought herself up again.

"Max, let's have a game. Let's see who is the first to find shelter."

She looked to Ocelot and gave him a small nod of her head and slowly flew off so Max could catch up to her easily. The two needed rest, and they didn't need a dog bugging them while they tried to get it.

Ocelot watched as Rast sat down to rest. He gave her a small smile then looked up as another creature came. He stared at him wearily and the moment he spoke to them, his claws came out. He looked to Rast as she spoke then looked to Cecei. He was glad she was trying her hardest to help. He looked to Max and spoke to him in a slightly threatening tone.

"No chase Max. She's hurt, she needs to rest. Please, go with Cecei and help her find some shelter for us. We're looking for somewhere....private. Where we won't be found."

He looked to Rast and then looked to Max. He stood directly in front of her so he would have to get past him before he got to Rast if he decided to suddenly chase them.

Max panted, wagging his nail and prancing from paw to paw as he looked between the three. Too innocent was he to notice the damage done to Rast, instead watching as she leaped. His ears drooped, and he followed when she denied him.

However, he was quick to perk up, looking at the two cats and the bird. "Even if we don't play can we be friends? I like having friends they are very good and I like friends!" he woofed.

His eyes widened, and he gave a great grin as he looked to Cecei, barreling after her. "Oh I love games lets play! I will find the bestest shelter for you!"

Rast couldn't help but smile a little at the visitors optimism. She was glad that even though she denied him a game of chase, he was content enough just having someone to call a friend. It was true, having friends was a very good thing!

"Sure! We can be your friends." She forced herself to remain as cheery as possible despite how tired she was. This gembound was the first to not ask what had happened to her. Perhaps he was simply too happy of a soul to worry about what had happened.

"Oh yes, and if you help us find a shelter maybe you can come and see us sometime!" Rast added hopefully. She was sure that this other creature would be a joy to have around, but the snow leopard was too exhausted to entertain such a happy thing.
