Naja allowed himself to go limp in the leopard seal's mouth, making a rapid calculation in his mind. After all, if her aim was to eat him, she would have to let go at some point.

With a final flail, she let go of him, and he struck. Taking advantage of his small size, he whipping around and, as she lunged to bite him, he sank his teeth into her oncoming nose, immediately beginning to pump venom.

Pelt barely had time to process the snake coming at her before there was the sting of a pair of fangs sinking into her nose. Immediately after, there was the burning sensation of venom entering the wound. She attempted to scream, but there was nothing but a flurry of bubbles. She shook her head furiously in an attempt to dislodge the snake, then blindly lunged for the first thing she saw that wasn't water. She would hurt this snake, make it regret ever annoying her.

Unfortunately, all she did was slam her head into a tree root. Dizzy with the force of the impact and the pain of the bite, she attempted to drag herself onto the tree. She didn't have gills - if the venom ended up knocking her out, she might drown. She had to get on land.

The snake clung onto the leopard seal's nose, feeling her open her mouth and attempt to scream. But she only succeeded in throwing up a flurry of bubbles around them. He clung on as she attempted to dislodge him, before slamming her head into a tree root.

Releasing his grip on her nose, he attempted to bite her again, but her movements were so erratic that he couldn't get a grip. Although the fight felt as though it may have been going on for hours, it had surely been only for a minute, maybe two. His lungs were beginning to burn, so he twisted, beginning to swim towards the surface to get air.

Finally finally finally the snake released her. Pelt lunged for the surface, gasping in air, then screamed. It hurt! She couldn't - where was the snake?! WHERE DID IT GO?! Why - what - things were so blurry! Why couldn't she see properly.... where was the snake? Where was the snake?!!! She spun around wildly, looking for any movement, but her vision spun with her and she couldn't see anything - maybe it was there? She snapped her teeth but felt nothing. She'd missed. Well, if she couldn't get the snake, it was better to get out of there before it could bite her again and before the venom made her faint or something.

Dizzy with pain and the effects of the venom, she picked a random direction and rushed into the water, swimming as fast as she could. Her body felt strangely uncoordinated, slowing down her progress. She was gasping for breath - when would she be far enough? Now? Maybe! Except there wasn't any surface for her to rest on - was there? She turned around again, felt her tail bump against something hard, and scrambled to drag herself onto what turned out to be a massive tree. Her vision was so blurry that combined with her dizziness, it was practically useless now. She could only hope she'd gotten far enough away from the snake... it was probably not safe in the water anymore. What if... what if she drowned? That would be... hilarious. Except no... that would be painful, except no, she'd be unconscious and it wouldn't be painful - Oh, forget it.

Naja struggled to gather himself, the snake tumbling through the water as it was thrown into a froth by the leopard seal's thrashing.

He twisted, evading her tail, but unable to tell which way was up or down. The snake lashed out, attempting to bite and pump with venom, but by then the leopard seal was long gone.

Well, at least everything seemed to be quiet now - unless of course the snake found her again.... no no no, that was unacceptable and could not happen. She could barely see, let alone defend herself. She had to do something to prevent her from being found. A distraction, maybe. A decoy. She tried to reach for a spark of magic, something to save her before she fell unconscious, and felt something pop into existence next to her.

Great. Now... she just needed to .... do something. Whatever. She tried to flipper it, but that didn't work, so maybe tailing it would be better, but that didn't work either, so maybe flipper it again and - Ah! That worked perfectly! Or at least she thought it did. She knew she hit something, at least, and there was a splash somewhere she wasn't, so it was good enough. And then everything went black.

She's basically just unconscious now, so exit unless Naja does something I guess
