As she paced, she watched Astaroth carefully. He was trying to do something, she could see it in the way his tail moved towards her. She swerved to avoid it and continued to walk. "Imagination. I have no need for imagination. Nor do I have need of companions. They are simply tools. They have never been more than that."

She stopped moving and faced Astaroth straight again. She did not have the kind of patience at the moment for this little game he was playing and she saw no reason to continue. "I know what you're doing," she growled, with a hint of threat. "I don't approve of any spells used on me without my permission. I won't tolerate you trying to touch me anymore."

"No need for imagination? Ah what a fool you are, everybody needs imagination. It allows you to see possibilities, consequences to actions. Without imagination, you will be prone to stick on a short one-way track, unable to compensate for the problems you cause in your actions. Now, I am going to fill myself in on what I missed while I was asleep, whether you wish me to or not." He attempted to let the magic surge through him, focusing on the muscles, how they moved and trying to stop that movement, hold them in place. He felt the magic falter, however, growling and shaking his head in irritation.

Reseda frowned, a little disappointed. She used to see Astaroth as a step towards power. Something that she could use as a template for her future self. But now she could see him as he was, an arrogant, pitiful old man, thinking himself better, thinking he knew better. Reseda had never a need for imagination, only rational thinking. "If I am a fool, I am not the only one here." If he needed to be filled in, he had only needed to ask. She would have told him or even let him see some of it. But his foolishness, his arrogance, that would be his doom.

She didn't speak anymore, she simply stared as her magicka collected. And in one, single push, the magicka was released. A deadly laser, headed straight for the wolf.

Astaroth growled as he saw the beam of light race towards him, he had seen this magic before, yes he had seen it. Last time it had been a crow that summoned it. No, he couldn't let this stand. The scars from the last time he had been hit by this laser seemed to burn as he summed up as much energy as he could, attempting to focus the matter in front of the beam together. He felt the magic rush through him, laughing as he set it loose but... something wasn't right. Instead of the pull towards the singularity as he had expected, he felt himself pushed... flying back, giving out a yelp as he was thrown against a stack of bones behind him. He scrambled away from the laser's point, feeling some of his fur singe as he barely made his way away from it.

Notes: Whoopsie, seemed to have made an explosion instead of a black hole. Maybe it will work as a momentary distraction?

The laugh was poorly timed, Reseda thought, as the wolf was thrown backwards. If he had saved his laugh for later, perhaps, if or when he scored a hit on her, then he wouldn't have looked like a damn fool. That what she just didn't understand about these emotion-creatures. They just didn't know when to stop showing off.

She glanced around. Having a fight in the bone room was always a good idea. There were plenty of bones to work with. With a flick of her claw, a number of heavy bones floated into the air and with a push, she sent them hurtling towards Astaroth. So he had been trapped under bones for 7 cycles? Obviously this was a weakness of his. If he was trapped again, he would be much easier to dispose of.

Astaroth picked himself back up quickly, sobering up and moving determinedly, there was no way this ravening fool would bring him down. He scrambled over piles of bones, feeling some whap against him as he weaved through the onslaught.

The wolf dodged the bones fairly well, but Reseda watched a few of them hitting his leg. She followed him with her head as he danced and she pinpointed the spot where he would land. She raised more bones, sharper ones this time though. She didn't get too many, but it hopefully would be enough to cause some kind of damage. Where he landed, she let them fly. Not as fast as the bullets she had sent towards Blueberry, though. Not nearly.

Astaroth growled as he saw what the lizard was planning, he thought his best bet would be to stay under the volley. He dove down as quick as he could, hearing the bones whistle over him, fliching as he felt a couple whistle through the fur of his back. He stood quickly after, waiting for her next move to attack. As I said child, you have to have an imagination to think of consequences, you won't last much longer straining your magick like this..

Reseda narrowed her eyes, growing mildly impatient. He was dodging everything, it seemed, and she didn't really have the time to be sticking around her forever, casting spell after spell after spell. She sighed. She had really looked up to him at one time, didn't she? She had seen him as her master, if only for a while. It was true, then, in this case, that the student had really outgrown the master. She was certain in her superiority in magic and skill. He could only dodge.

But could he dodge this?

A blast of magic burst from her gem in all directions, a shockwave, although not a very powerful one, went rolling in all directions. Perhaps she could throw him on his back, make it easier to get an attack in. Maybe she's be lucky to throw him into a sharp bone. Who knows.

Astaroth saw the bones moving from the Lizard before he felt the shockwave. He jumped behind a pile of bones, hoping it would be enough to block the wave. He felt it ruffle the fur on his back, a couple bones knocking into his back but indeed he wasn't thrown back. There you go, keep trying to hit me.
