Enka hadn’t explored Pisces much, sticking largely to Eridanus and Polaris. But occasionally she would wander off down one of the tunnels and into a different cavern. It was mere happenstance that brought her to Pisces this day. No schedule, no strange drawing of fate, no internal
compass directing her towards a mysterious goal. Just simply wandering and seeing where her hooves took her.
As the waterfall was the most noticeable feature of the cavern, it was there that she wandered towards. Brown hooves splashed along the many small streams. Enka soon found herself prancing and splashing along. She was a full 7 cycles old at this point but deep down she was still a calf at heart. Giggles erupted as she moved closer to the waterfall.
Then the springbok stopped, hearing a noise beyond just the splashing of water. She stood still except for ears that wiggled back and forth. It was an unfamiliar rattling noise. It was nice in its own way, and most definitely curious. Intrigued by the sound, she walked slowly forward until she came upon a strange brown creature with multiple black and white quills along their back. It was clearly them that made the sound. Now that she was closer, she could also near a strange hum as well. It harmonized well with the tumbling waters and rattling quills.
With a bit of sudden inspiration, Enka closed her eyes. The cream and green colored horn that erupted between her two antlers began to softly glow. Softly at first, then growing in intensity came a gentle chiming sound. It moved and began to blend between the strange melody that the other creature had formed. Enka rocked gently with the sound, ruffling the skin flap along her back.
