Orlaith looked in awe at the lights in the ceiling and the crumbling stone structures held something, strange. It's as if creatures used to be here. What kind of creatures made these remaining structures in the first place? She didn't know, and the child was very interested, and confused. She spotted a lone rock throne with decaying walls, as if a ruler sat there long ago. An idea pooped in her head the moment she saw that throne. Should she sit there? Why not! Nobody was here and whoever used to sit there was definitely long gone. Maybe she could be this room's temporary queen, for now. She hoped almost gracefully on the throne and took a seat. The view was wonderful from where she sat. Orlaith felt important, like a part of an actual society. Little did she know, she would be important. An importantly dangerous predator.

Glory didn't often make a habit of going to Orion, but sometimes he felt it necessary - the ore here was sometimes better and, well, you really couldn't beat the crystals. But the Sinful Seven made it a little annoying to collect anything from here. He didn't want to risk offending Envy or, well, any of them, and he knew how jealously they guarded their things (or maybe that was just Envy).

But today...well, he did find it necessary. He'd almost run completely dry of quartz crystals and was running low on an assortment of little gems to augment his pieces with. Those things were better collected in Orion then spent searching far and wide, digging everywhere in Monoceros, or, worst of all, digging through all the trash in Tunnel J.

He was soaring through the large cave, a lightweight pack hanging from his body, and a strange metal thing clutched in his beak. His eyes darted around the cave for a place where he could dig out some crystals with relative ease. There were plenty to choose from, of course, but he would rather have a large cluster of small crystals, then a small cluster of massive ones, which, unfortunately, seemed to be the more frequent occurance.

Movement in the corner of his eye caught his attention. There was something on the throne, something not tiny and not green at all. More like a gold and white. He didn't know the Sinful Seven well, but he was pretty sure there was nobody in it with their coloration.

Curious, he banked and changed his direction, now soaring towards the creature on the throne. As he got closer, her realized that it was a tiger. A very, very small tiger, most likely a baby. Maybe even a newly hatched. He pulled his body up and flapped his wings quickly to slow himself before he set himself down on the stone and folded his wings. He set down the metal contraption and stepped forward towards the tiger. It was sitting on the throne, as if it were the ruler and he couldn't help but see how much it looked like Envy sitting there, but only in posture. "What are you doing here, little one? Why are you on the Throne?"

Orlaith was sitting on the throne enjoying the view from the throne, until someone spoke to her. The cub's head snapped to the source of the sound, not expecting someone to speak to her here. Orlaith quickly calmed, seeing an eagle in front of her. His stone was on the top of his head, kinda like, fire. Orlaith looked at him with a surprising amount of grace, her British accent 100% noticeable in her voice as she spoke. "I'm sitting here because I'm bored. So I'm pretending to be royalty on this throne." Then an idea popped in her head! This eagle could probably explain many things to her, things she didn't understand fully. "Sir, my name is Orlaith Clawvale, I would very much appreciate it if you could explain some things to me, for I have questions. First off, what are we called? And I don't mean tiger or eagle, I already know that, but creatures like us with stones in general? Next, I know these caves are my home, but what are these caves called? Lastly, if you know any basic lore or legendary creatures in these caves, I would like to know that as well." Orlaith sounded very sophisticated at her age, and her British accent she was hatched with only added to that. The tigress cub waited to see if the eagle could answer her questions.

Glory was more then a little taken aback at the sudden rush of questions the tiger presented to him. At their age, he'd have thought that they might have known a few words maybe enough to form a sentence but not...this. And such a curiosity...was he that curious when he was that young? He didn't think so. "Ah, boredom is hard, but there is already royalty in Orion. I dare say that the King who calls this thrown their own would not be happy with another sitting on it." Although...what could Envy do to a tiger, even a young one? Give a few scratches maybe. Or, well, they could have magic. He wasn't sure.

And quite the name as well! Glory didn't often know gembounds that gave themselves two names, but he was no opposed. "I am called Glory!" And, as always, as he said his name, he puffed out his chest and stoof taller, making sure that his brilliant golden plumage was caught gleaming under the light of the lamps above. He bathed in his own grandeur for a moment before he remembered that the tiger was waiting for answers.

He scoffed, feeling a twinge of insult at the tiger's presumption that he was simply a tool of information. "And why would I explain any of these things? I have only just met you." He clacked his beak with annoyance, considering just flying off and leaving them alone, but he was not quite that rude. He'd started the conversation, after all.

Orlaith wasn't impressed with the eagle's display, but she did like his name, Glory. Ah, so there was already royalty in this room, and this was a king's throne. Was this king a large beast of some sort, or would she be disappointed to find it was a small, weak creature? She didn't know, and pushed the thoughts away. Orlaith wasn't doing any harm sitting on this throne. It wasn't like she was claiming this place for herself, and she was also too young to do so. It seems Glory wanted to know why he should even explain these things to her. Well, Orlaith had a very good reason why he should. "I know you have only just met me, and I have just met you. But as you can see I am but a child who just hatched in these caves, and I know well enough that this is my home, your home, and the home of other creatures like us. I at least deserve to know of the caves that I live in." Her golden eyes looked at him with an arcane glow. "Glory, it's not like I'm asking you of your personal life. After all children like me are inquisitive, and they deserve to know of their home too."

Glory narrowed his eyes. Ignorance, innocence, and nice serving of entitlement was what he gathered from this cat. It was new and had no idea, yet it demanded answers, expected them to be given. Glory had no problem telling young ones what he knew. He helped when he could but when it was demanded in a fashion like this...he would give it, yes, but not before teaching an important lesson.

His eyes darkened and his head stretched forward, the feathers on the back of his neck bristling slightly. Heat began to dance along his feathers and some of them began to smoke, giving him a darker, more frightening appearance, obscuring the golden light of his gem. And with that came the horrible smell of burnt feathers. "This is your home, yes, as it is my home. But you know who else calls these caves their home? Monsters. Demons. Creatures that would not hesitate to eat you or kill you. You have much to learn, Orlaith Clawvale. How do you know that I am not one of these monsters? How do you know that I will not give you false information? That I will not toy with you, play with you, and kill you when I'm done?" He clacked his beak again, his wings ruffling as he pulled himself back. After a moment, the smoking stopped and he was simply left with a few charred feathers fluttering to the ground. He didn't mind. He would be molting soon anyways.

"Don't assume you deserve anything. You're new and you have much to learn. Do not welcome strangers so freely in the future. I know of more then one who would not hesitate to rip out your throat or burn you alive if you talked to them this way." Like that accursed black wolf...or even Dread, perhaps. He sometimes thought with his appetite and his instincts then with his head.

Orlaith's ears flattened as she backed into the corner of the throne, the disgusting smell of burnt feathers filled her nose as the eagle showed off his power. Orlaith somehow knew she had similar powers too, but just didn't know what they were yet. Her claws unsheathed and fear struck her young golden eyes. "All I asked was to learn of these caves, yet you think that when I told you that, I, a new child deserved to know of her own home, that speaks entitlement to you. I was not in any way speaking to you in any disrespect, you asked me why you should tell me information, and I gave you a respectful answer, yet you get quick-tempered. I didn't speak to you in any way, I showed respect." Glory now seemed to be very hotheaded, and any respect she had for the eagle vanished in a wisp of air. "You're very right, I have a lot to learn as a child, but I have learned one thing in this moment." Her golden eyes showed fear for her life at Glory's words, but she narrowed them anyway at what she said next. "You said there are monsters, demons in this cave, perhaps even creatures like me that are deemed monsters due to their ways." Her voice shook in terror as she tried to keep it steady. "Terrifying a new child in these caves when they haven't disrespected you in the slightest, you, Glory, in my eyes...are deemed a monster to me. Conclude this as my first lesson." With that she jumped of the throne in fright, and ran, her soft paws hitting the ground as hard as they could. She would find nice company elsewhere, there had to be. Orlaith may have been proper, intelligent, but she never felt entitled. Of course at 4 cycles, the thought of running wouldn't dare cross her mind and she would have been unimpressed. Now, she was just a child... a child running for her life from this fire eagle.

Glory shook his head, absolutely dumbfounded how the child had come to the conclusion that he was a monster. He had not attacked, he had not tried to manipulate them. Sure, he had scared her a bit, but to leap so far...ugh, Glory hated dealing with children. He'd rather go back to the simplicity of his interactions with Dread - present a gift he'd made and the dragon would scoop it up with a thanks and hoard it, as he did all things.

He didn't give chase to the tiger. He simply called out, "You have much to learn if you think I'm a monster." before turning away. He picked up the metal contraption and jumped off the edge of the cliff, heading towards a place where he knew he'd find some good gem clusters.
