The trollish creature squinted at the Blacksmith for a moment, then at his myriad of glasses and things. Collect rocks and shit? Sounded simple enough, and couldn't cause too much trouble --- only a permanent pattern on the body. That sounded cool, actually. As a bonus, Elspet realized, this could be the perfect gift for her beloved.

Oh, to present such a delightful gift to Ayr---

Her gaze turned to the small anaconda somewhat nearby, and extended an arm with a clipped "snake." What harm was there in bringing a companion along, especially one with such sharp eyes as that. Two sets were better than one and her maternal instinct dictated against leaving such a little Gembound alone with all these others. "Come along with me?"

She'd hesitate for a moment, before starting off down Fornax's shore to search for some gems, with or without Usingizi in tow.

Catalyst had always been a curious sort.

So when she spotted the gathering of Gembounds, she found herself approaching. She stood towards the back of the group, not wanting to block anyone's view - she was one of the tallest there, so it was easy enough for her to stretch up and peer at the table. There were a great deal of things, there, and so she listened to the words of the odd-looking Gembound out of curiosity.

So bring him things? Feathers and shells and minerals? That would be easy enough! With a bob of her head, she turned, careful not to strike anyone with her long, long tail, and stepped away, trying to find a spot where she could grow some crystals.

The velociraptor finally found a spot that was clear enough to let her grow her crystals, and so she paced a small circle, before beginning to focus. The ground beneath her talons split, and a bright orange gemstone shot from the ground. Oh, that was pretty! She thought, nodding in satisfaction.

Spinning, she slammed the thick part of her tail into the crystal, breaking it off at the base, before picking it up in her teeth and setting it aside.

Ah, so the strange two legged creature just wanted them to collect dyes. For...some reason. That caused her to relax slightly, but it's appearance still put her on edge. And all the strange contraptions on it's stone table were still that--strange contraptions. It put her on edge more than that dragon had. She made sure to keep him in her sights. Even if the two cats seemed to enjoy his presence.

Usingizi jolts and then freezes, startled by someone speaking to her. She turns her good eye towards the source, shocked that she'd been noticed by someone. She looks back at the two legged thing, then back towards the gorrila with horns. She presses the gem in her mouth, still feeling rather nervous about the whole thing.

"Alright." She concedes with a sigh.

She'd, at the very least, feel safer not surrounded by so many large gembound. And away from the two-legged creature. If the gorrila decided to attack her, she could simply slip away into the water. She flickered her tongue out, memorizing the gorrilla's scent, before silently slinking after her. She'd find these 'pigments' the tall thing was after, it'd give her an opportunity to get closer to his things, and figure out what it was after. Perhaphs even bite it, if things became dire.

A few more, Catalyst decided.

Focusing on a spot a few inches away from the sub that remained of the orange gemstone, she felt her azurite talon tingle, the ground there beginning to split. The gemstone that grew wasn't half so handsome as the one before it, rather dull and oddly shaped, but it was yellow and she hoped it would work.

As she had done before, she spun around, striking it with her tail and breaking it off as close to the base as she could. This one, too, was placed with the orange one.

Observing her little pile, she decided on making one more. If someone else asked her to, she would make them one, but for the moment just one more, and it would be offered to someone else. Be her good deed for the day... or Cycle. Either or.

But no matter how hard she focused, her Magic wouldn't react, so she took a moment to take a deep breath, attempt to clear her head. She knew she could do this.

She growled, peeling back her whale-like flesh from her teeth, snarling at the ground. But really it wasn't the grounds fault, but she needed something to be mad at. So she stomped at the ground, scratching at it in an attempt to make it easier for a crystal to form.

But, again, there was nothing.

Well, okay then. She huffed, staring at the ground as though it had betrayed her.

'Okay, one more try.' she decided with a huff, digging her talons into the dirt. A deep gouge was set into the ground, and she focused as hard as she could.

And, wow, did it work! She had to balk, stepping back and away, as a massive cluster of perfectly formed, bright green crystals sprouted from the ground, easily as tall as her. She gawked, for a long moment, before spinning and shattering the top part of it into a number of crystals, nudging them to join the orange and the yellow. "Anyone can have these!" she called out, before grabbing her orange and her yellow and approaching The Creator.

The Peregrine Falcon fluttered into Fornax, carrying a sheet of metal in her beak, and a small clump of ochre in her talon.

A bright chunk of green caught her eye, followed shortly after by the Creator, and angled her wings to land not far from him. "Hello!" she called excitedly, looking over his spread, "What can you make with these?"

Speech. Thought.

Wilder's eyes opened wide with excitement at the thought of being able to dye things. Make things change color! She loved color but to be honest, she wasn't sure if she wanted to do anything with herself. She loved her black fur very very much! Maybe she could try playing with it on other surfaces. Besides, it was a magic and she was going to know all the magic she could know!

She hopped happily. "Okay! I'll bring stuff! Lots of things! Just you watch!" She then turned and raced out of the cave. She had a lot of friends that would be able to help her with this and she could do things herself! She was going to have so much fun with all of this!
