Palefur nodded in confirmation, not really giving any signs that she cared at all for the winners, only sharply gazing at the gathered carefully. There were many talented magicians in the caves. Perhaps too many. No...she was acting like they were her enemies to size up.

Regardless, she couldn't see herself ever performing in one of these things. Too flashy. She stood up and shook out her pelt, hopping off the judge's podium to disappear into the crowd. Probably to go and find Jay again.

Oliver slinked back a pace when Huckleberry woke. He watched him distrustfully, his face tight, as a dog might watch one it fears will strike it. "...Yeah," he responded, and his voice was no more than a hoarse whisper.

To Shiny he was a little more accepting--reaching his snout forward, touching it gently nose-to-nose should the ratsquirrel allow it: a friendly little greeting, if tentative.

Then he eyed Huckleberry, again, face still tight.

"Are you still hurt?" he asked, and it wasn't with concern, but again, as if the other hybrid might suddenly attack him--wary, but Oliver still had a job to do.

Cautious, he focused on his magicka a moment, and a flow of water trickled from him--seemingly from his palm. This he let flow toward Huckleberry, adding--"For any burns." Terse, quiet, to the point. He didn't want to talk to this one any more than he had to. It wasn't dislike, but he just... didn't trust him.

{Table code credit to Madison, altered a bit!}

Huckleberry was unusually subdued in his interaction with Oliver, perhaps partly because of the terrible shock he'd just given himself and perhaps because he didn't want to hurt Oliver any more then he had. Although he hadn't been one of the ones that had, well, attacked him, it had been his brothers and sisters and mother that had wounded him. He'd never forgive himself for that.

So he simply watch Shiny as she poked curiously as Oliver's wings. I want wings, Huckle-friend. He gave her a small smile. But you can fly on mine. The little catsquirrel flicked her tail in his face with exasperation. Yeah, but they're not my wings.

He didn't respond to this, distracted by the stream of water that Oliver had conjured for him. At first, he was confused. He didn't really need to drink. But then he realized what it was for and turned so that it would cool on his back, right where the lightning had hit. The area was singed and the fur was still bristling with static but the instant the water touched on him and breathed out a sigh of relief.

It took him a few more moments to fully recover the strength in his limbs (or, at least, some of it. Enough to walk, anyways) and he stumbled to his feet. Shiny reached up to jump on his back but then apparently though better of it at the sight of the burn where she usually would sit. He leaned down and nosed her away in the direction he would leave, casting one last worried and fearful glance at Oliver. "Th-thanks..." he stammered before rushing off, stumbling as he did. He'd find a better place to finish nursing his wounds.

MAGICKA LEVEL 100%

The Puma rumbled, low in his chest, as he watched the judges discuss, deciding who would get first place. While he hoped to place, it wasn't terribly important to him--he was just glad to have, finally, gotten his Magic to do as he wished for once. Even if it was fire.

His eyes--no, eye, and he couldn't get used to that--clouded over thoughtfully, as he longed for the ability to grow flowers and plants as his Brother could. His Brother could create life and he... well, all he could create was destruction. And then... his name? He had placed? Raising his head, Sebastian grinned, looking for Rift.

"Congratulations," he rasped to the other two winners, before hurrying over to where Rift was confronting the small cat. However, he wasn't quick enough, and Rift was already trotting away. So he hurried to catch up to his Brother, a skip to his step.
