Violet eyes searched the room unblinkingly. Studying the many bones that lingered all throughout the area. It was rather eerie, but Zi did not flinch even in the slightest. It was all intriguing for the eagle as he waddled here to there to look at things. He could have easily glided towards the areas he wanted to look at, but it really didn't cross his mind to make it all that simple. He had grown use to waddling around on his talons since the moment he emerged from his Chrysalis. He had spent a lot of time in Eridanus, learning his wings and practicing his hunting for food. Tal'at had been around keeping him company of course and he had grown awfully fond of his leather-winged brother. He hadn't felt right to leave the little bat behind in Eridanus, but he knew if the little leather-winged had wanted he could find RaikZik easily.

His wings had carried him through several tunnels to get him here and now he was all the more curious as to why there were so many strange bones littering around. His feather's ruffled for a moment as he stood in place, twisting his head about as he got an idea of which way he wanted to explore first. Clicking his beak thoughtfully to himself, Raikzik hopped a few feet closer to a particular group of bones that had been piled together. He turned his head and studied the whites of the bones, taking not of the shallow gashed that marked through it. Something had been chewing on it? Perhaps there was a carnivore in the area? He lifted his gaze and once again looked about his surroundings.

It would do no good to be caught by a creature that liked to chew on bones. Just as he was about to make up his mind to use his wings to lift him towards higher ground and perch atop something to continue his exploring a noise suddenly sounded off in the distance and he shifted how he was standing. Piercing violet eyes danced around, searching for what had caused the sound. He made no noise to call out, nor did he have any intentions to. If the noise maker was anywhere close they would surely make their appearance known to him.

Azazel was now on keener watch, The Bone King feeling alive and well once again. His feathers had grown back and he felt like he didn't need to hide anymore. The Ave knew it meant he had to take to the skies... enjoy life some more. Perhaps recruit some more members? Or maybe that would be a mistake, for the waters of Canis were drying up and it wouldn't be long before the cave would be barren.

He hoped that wouldn't happen.

For now, he could see some things moving amongst the shadows... but what? It seemed like a bird, but he wasn't able to be sure right off the bat. Keen rubies trained on every motion in the cave from high above, head turned down to find what was moving. Magicka was cast out, sending small vibrations through the cave and bouncing off the rocks, only heard by him thanks to intense focus. He imagined the shape of a creature, and dove toward it. Soon, he could see another bird, one that almost looked like him, or was a large one. Until now, The Bone King had believed that he was the only big bird around, doomed to be surrouned by smaller birbs... not that he hated that. He loved it, in fact! Chirping quietly and landing on the stone floor, he greeted the other bird, "Hello."

It seemed like the sound had gone silent and nothing had arose from it. RaikZik wasn't sure how he wanted to feel about it. Perhaps this bone chewing carnivore was lurking around in the shadows? Or perhaps he was just letting his mind wander just a little too much. Again the avian fluffed up his feathers for a moment, almost as if to amuse himself before the feather's settled back down smoothly once more. He turned away from the sound he had heard and focused once again on which direction he wanted to explore first. With a goal in mind, RaikZik spread his wings to make his travel a little less strenuous.

Alas, before he could fly off a swooshing sound quickly caught his attention and his head instantly turned around and spotted the fellow bird swooping in. He shifted the way he was standing and fully faced the bird as it landed and greeted him. Zi was silent for a moment longer, studying the bird that seemed a tad larger than him. Perhaps it was his breed, or perhaps it was the fact this bird was older than himself? It was one of the two, but RaikZik cared little. He did not find the size difference between the two wrong, nor did he find them correct. Truly not knowing which species would be bigger fully grown. With a relaxed shift of his wings settling back to his sides RaikZik finally decided that he should probably say something.

"Greetings.." His voice came out deep and a little scratchy. If only for the fact that he did not use it very often. "Is... This your home?" It still felt strange for him to speak. Even when he spoke to Tal'at it seemed a little odd. Of course he enjoyed talking with Tal'at. The little leather-winged would probably hear more words out of this eagle than any other gembound ever would. As curious as he was, nothing showed in his body language to express this emotion. He simply stood there nearly motionless as he kept trained eyes on the fellow bird.

Once the Ave had landed, he scrutinized the bird before him. Yes, he was quite large, and also quite handsome. He must have been a powerful bird, with great wings and sharp talons. Interestingly, one of his talons was replaced by a gemstone, just like Krakarak. The idea of the two being siblings or even related was pretty far-fetched. This young bird... he was strong and powerful, meant to hunt and kill. Of course, his demeanor didn't seem to match that, but besides. Rubies blinked, and he tilted his crown in wait for any response. The eagle was one who was as silent as the wind.

Finally, speech filled the silent cave, and it was from the eagle. First, it began with a simple greeting then a moment of silence. The question of his home came, and Azazel chuckled lightly, "Yes, this is Canis. It is my home, and it is the home of The Bonebound. I am The Bone King, but I am also Azazel." Smiling, the bird hopped closer with the click! click! of talons. "What's your name?" He could not help but ask, whilst still scrutinizing the bird for any changes in his stature at all. It was almost as if he were a statue, that only moved to breathe or speak, nothing else. Surely this bird was a stone sentinel.

RaikZik listened with the utmost curiosity as the fellow avian spoke once again. It was no surprise to hear that this place was the birds home, he was after all occupying it Raikzik supposed. However, when the bird introduced himself as the Bone King named Azazel, Raikzik's interest perked a little more. Nothing displaying outwardly on his body, but if one looked close enough they could potentially see the curious gleam in his piercing violet eyes. The talking between the two soon made RaikZik relax, if only a little more than before. If this avian was going to attack him surely Azazel would have done so already. He took a moment longer to study the Lammergeier over once more before finally deciding he should better say something before this Avian felt like RaikZik was being rude.

"RaikZik..." His voice croaked out again and RaikZik had to pause a moment as he decidedly found he really didn't like how his voice sounded. It was probably because he did not use it as much as he probably should, but there really wasn't much changing that. RaikZik clicked his beak in a thoughtful way before he shuffled how he was standing, finding a much easier and relaxed stance to stand in. It would be no issue to leave should this avian start to show signs of aggression. RaikZik was not here to have conflict. "I am... Not intruding... am I?" Still RaikZik spoke slowly, not because he was unintelligible, but because of how foreign it felt for him to speak.

Now, there is no guarantee that Azazel made fast friends with other avians, but this seemed to be another case of sameness and familiarity that drew the Ave to others of his kind. Alright, somewhat of his kind. The Bone King had yet to see another exactly like him, or at least a vulture, for that matter. He knew that made him unique, but it also made him slightly lonesome and wish that there was another almost like him. Maybe it was a nice thing to be a paragon vulture, but was he? There were no others to contest that quite yet. As far as the bird knew, vultures were carrion feeders and devoured the final remnants of the dead... or in this case, decayed Gembound bones...

Listening to the sound of the eagle's name, Azazel would try to repeat it himself, the sounds foreign. "Rake... zick... RaikZik. Is that right?" Some Gembound had mildly difficult names, such as himself... the name of Azazel meaning 'scapegoat' as he later pondered upon it and remembered. He'd laughed a little, believing that to be true. Azazel really was a scapegoat, wasn't he. Blamed for doing wrong and being at fault for chaos simply because he had not been around or had half the mind to focus on something for once.

Looking up just to see the grayscaled avian shift to a more relaxed position, Azazel let loose himself, about sitting on his butt in a semi-goofy looking fashion. Tail feathers lay flat across the floor, quite literally perpendicular to the rest of his body, and resting the 'palms' of his wings on the floor. Smiling quietly, he chuckled. "No. The Bonebound don't fiercely defend Canis unlike some groups. We just watch out for suspicious activity... and a bird friend of mine can't be up to no good, can he?" Laughing out loud, The Bone King shook his head. "I'm just pulling your leg, sorry... but would you like to join us? The Bonebound?"
