The bird was seeking.

She had studied, and worked, and studied some more. And finally, she felt ready to try. To make something that she would give another Gembound, to keep. Something beautiful, something elegant.

But she needed a bowl, first. A strong bowl, that would hold what she needed while it melted, that would withstand the hot, hot temperatures. And so she had gone down to Tunnel J to find exactly that.

Speech. Thought.

Her handsome feather's fluttered as she flew, soaring low to the ground. Keen eyes scanned the ground, seeking anything that might be useful. Even if it wasn't what she was searching for, she would take home anything shiny, anything melt-able, anything she might be able to use later on.

But she didn't see anything yet, anything more than plain ground, and so she continued to fly on.

Speech. Thought.

How hard could it be to find something useful?

As it turns out, fairly hard. But Gea didn't mind--already, she could see the beautiful things she would create in her mind, the shinies, the useless pretty things and the useful dull things. Maybe even useful pretty things and useless dull things, too!

So she hardly cared that she had covered another great distance without finding anything of use.

Speech. Thought.

Finally, though, something caught her eye. Something sticking out of the ground, with a curled lip. So she angled her feathers, landing nearby. The Falcon hopped forward on her talons, lowering her head to peer at it--would this work? It took her a bit of digging, using her beak and her talons, but finally she managed to pull out a fair-sized cup of some sort. It felt like... clay, she thought. This would work!

Speech. Thought.

Gea took it in her talons, spreading her wings wide.

Oh, this was heavy! For a moment, she worried she wouldn't be able to lift it, much less fly with it. But a few hard thrusts of her wings, and she was in the air. She wobbled, and her wings strained, but she managed to leave the Tunnel with her spoil.
