Well, Wilder had sprung for showing off every cave there was, and Aure wasn't about to try and figure out if she had missed a few. Heck, he could barely remember the layout of any cave past the chain that was Canis-Orion-Polaris. It was a fairly straight path that required few deviations. She also sprung onto the idea of family, considering herself his sister; which, she wasn't wrong. The wyvern's eyes lit up in a spark of recognition, and he nodded, "I'd think so!"

The ever-humming swarm had a whole bunch (or, dare I say, a swarm) of questions and thoughts about the information it had been given, giving up its not-Vinea shape in order to inspect each display of each cave. One by one, Aure tried to answer them: "it's what lets you do cool stuff like make fire or water or, I guess, change your color. Bones are inside of us and keep us, uh, together? They're strong and let us move without hurting ourselves."

Hopefully those were adequate answers to what the Legion wanted to know.

The wyvern couldn't, exactly, get a solid idea of what the swarm should do. Was it asking... where to go on from here? "Well, uh, you could explore the caves and meet a lot of different Gembound and learn a lot of different magic? And then find what you like and do something with that?"

Wilder purred happily when Legion asked of magic. It was a vague question...actually it wasn't a question, really, but Wilder was absolutely going to answer it anyways. "Magic is a lot of fun! You probably have magic too that lets you change color! This is also magic." She raised a paw and turned it over so that the pad was showing as a small blue and pink wisp appeared in front of her. "As long as you know how to do it, you can do almost anything with magic! But be careful because it can backfire too."

She put her paw down and the wisp continued to flare in front of her, heatless and dancing, even without any wind to blow it around. "You can do whatever you want! You're free! You can go and explore on your own or find a friend or just go and find a place to live if you want or anything else you can think of!"

This was-... wow. These were way too many options for the baby swarm, and Legion's form began flickering again, dispersing and reforming rapidly as its excited component mites rapidly covered the possibilities.

The consensus was slow to reach, and a good portion of the swarm favored compartmentalizing the conversations--responding, first, to Aure before he was forgotten. Assimilating his information before moving on to the chaotic choices that Wilder had presented them.

"Bones," it hummed, after a moment. So far as it could tell, it had none of those--unless? "Like--shells? Your shells are under--fur? Feather?" it asked, quizzically.

On to the next bit, then.

Magic? Exploration? Finding a home? Finding--something they liked?

The freedom was--in many ways--overwhelming. Legion wasn't old enough to fully grasp the enormity of any of these choices. Trying to contemplate all of them, and decide between them, left it floundering and baffled, most of its swarm buzzing both excitedly and uncertainly.

What do we do? Where do we start?

"It seems like so much," it admitted at last, the swarm's form shifting and gradually reforming into his own. It seemed, for now at least, incapable of coming to a decision. The swarm as a whole was a little fearful--striking out on its own so abruptly was intimidating, to say the least.

"They're--- kind of like shells, yeah?" The wyvern chirped, then said in an aside his friend, "bugs don't have bones, right?" Bright eyes moved back to the muddy-looking not-Vinea, "they're under our fur and feather, yeah. It's not very good for them to be out in the air. They dry up and break very easily." Aure watched as Wilder conjured up a wisp with practiced ease, and he smiled, clicking his beak and working to summon one as well. It took a little doing, but sure enough: a little blue flame joined hers, dancing about in lazy circles, much like a firefly does.

Wilder seemed to have the same ideas as him, too, but they may have proved to be far too much for the swarm. It seemed, for lack of a better word, overwhelmed by the number of choices which... fair. Completely fair.

Aure glanced down at the little black cat by his side, vanishing the glow of his wisp in an instant (not that it was very strong to begin with.) "Perhaps we could start small, together? Like..." he turned, stretching out his wings and gesturing to the world below the cliffs, "I could show you around here from above? We can go as slow as you like."

Wilder hummed happily and nodded in agreement. "It is a lot! But you have your whole life to do things. You don't have to do everything at once! You just pick something that sounds like fun and do it!" Maybe it was a little sad that Wilder had such an ignorant view on life, but to her, ignorance was bliss. She would continue on and do things that were fun until someone forcibly stopped her from doing so.

She pouted a bit when Aure opened his wings. "Oh, well I can't fly." She regretted her statement immediately, though. This wasn't about her. It didn't matter if she couldn't fly. She'd just wait her. Or go home and let Aure take over. It didn't really matter to her. "Well, if you want to go see, I'll just stay on the ground! Whatever you want to do, friend!" She forced herself to put a smile back on her face and purr again, although she was a little disappointed that she wouldn't be able to participate anymore.

The swarm buzzed in excited thought at Aure's offer, breaking up into a cloud that shifted to and fro--and then shifted to all peer at Wilder. The voices, humming, all spoke, despite the fact that Legion now held no real shape at all.

"We will come back!" it reassured her. They liked Wilder, they realized; it was a friendly creature, and one that was helpful and kind. It hadn't known cruelty, yet, but it was still grateful for her aid. "Maybe, one day, if we are many enough, we can carry you," Legion then offered. The myriad mites were eyeing the kitten over, wondering about how much they could carry while in flight, about how many it might take to carry her.

Well, one day, they could try. For now--"We thank you. Both. We will come back. We fly now?" the swarm then asked, thousands of mites glittering as they shifted to face Aure.

Oh, maybe they shouldn't leave Wilder behind--- oh, she seemed alright with it? Bright eyes squinted slightly beneath a furrowed brow, but Aure immediately perked up as the mites suggested a swift return. "It'll be a quick tour," the wyvern chirped.

He immediately got an idea from the Legion, though, and their future offerings of carrying. Man, if only he weren't so slow-witted when half-awake. "Would you like a lift, Wild?" Aure cracked his beak in a bit of a grin, squatting down slightly and offering his back to the little black cat.

Regardless of if Wilder actually got on or not, the wyvern nodded. "We fly now." With a few swelling wingbeats to get him in the air (and a bit of magic, perhaps) he drifted lazily through Orion, pointing out its many distinct features.

Wilder got herself to smile at Legion, her tail raising to wave happily. "I'm sure you will! And I can't wait, I'm sure it won't take too long!" She stepped back, sitting herself down to watch them fly away, but Aure's offer took her by surprise. She, admittedly, did not think about it either and her jaws cracked open before closing and turning up in a radiant smile. "Yeah! Thank you Aure!"

Happily, she trotted up and scrambled onto her friend's back. She would barely weigh him down - she was very tiny and he was much bigger then her. She unsheathed her claws and lightly held onto the feathers on his back, careful not to let them stab at his actual skin.

She would listen to what Aure was saying as he gave Legion the tour, staying mostly quiet, but enjoying the ride and the company of good friends.

Legion's swarm reformed, taking on its original shape: a Gembound, glowing here and there, winged and gecko-toed and long-tailed with large eyes. Up it went, the wings 'beating' for, seemingly, very little reason--the mite-swarm seemed quite capable of hovering as individuals, as a cloud.

As it arced up into the sky, it spoke.

"Thank you," it said, a soft, excited hum reverberating through it.

It would follow Aure--and Wilder--and certainly would have any number of questions to ask.

It couldn't wait.
