Ahjanari’s happiness at having caught her first mouse without any issue was quickly dissipating. This little shit behind her was still following her, as she had suspected he would, and she could feel her cool slipping a little bit. She wasn’t quite at the tipping point yet. I mean, he was a dumb sheep, so of course, he was prone to doing dumb things, like following a natural enemy around like they were buddy-buddies. But eventually, if he didn’t come to his senses and split, she was gonna have to knock some sense into him. Luckily when that happened she would watch her footing this time. No more getting caught in vines for her!

She rolled her eyes at his comment, but continued her search for more food without replying. She’d give him a bit longer before eating his face. I mean, he’d evaded her once, so it was only fair. Though, in truth, she was just lazy, and wasn’t angry enough yet to go running after him again. She needed maybe three or four more little scurrying animals to fill her belly. If he in any way messed up her hunt, or was generally irritating, she’d go back to hunting him. That was fair, right? Right.

As he expected, she ignored his comment. He wondered how long this cycle would go on. He remembered how easy it was for him to eat when he was born. He almost felt bad for his predator, it was so easy for herbivores like himself to get food because leaves didn't move. Carnivores however, had to track and hunt for their food. He wondered where they were even going.

He guessed she was just looking for some more rats. He was bored though. This was also probably going to be happening for a while.

Ahjanari prowled and prowled and eventually her senses, mostly hearing, picked up on yet another mouse in the grass, who was currently napping. She guessed that’s what it was, doing, anyways? She couldn’t hear the sounds of it eating, so what else could it be doing? She got down low, trying to pinpoint it exactly, and eventually she honed in on its location. Her short tail twitched in anticipation, and then she lunge-hopped forward, crushing the tiny mammal under her paws. She gobbled this one up just as quickly as the last, relishing in the feel of the tiny creature’s bones crunching in her jaws.

Her annoying companion seemed to have gone silent behind her, which she was thankful for, though she wondered what had made him stop talking away like an idiot. She licked a paw daintily and then turned and gave him a sidelong glance. “You follow all day?” she asked with her broken, newborn speaking skills.

They kept walking as she killed and ate a rat. Nothing out of the ordinary. However, she actually decided to talk this time. She had asked if he was just gonna follow her all day."Maybe, maybe not. Maybe you could ditch me if I fall asleep if you despise me that much."

He wondered if he was going to follow her all day. Probably not if she takes his idea. He wondered why he gave her the idea. Most likely because he wouldn't care if they went their separate ways or not. This wasn't the most exciting adventure. He didn't feel tired yet so he guessed they would just keep walking..
