Amazon thought about it for a minute. Of course, Orion would be the first stop - they had to go through that cave to get to all the others. But Polaris seemed like a good first step. It was the center, it was big, and they could go pretty much anywhere from there. She was about to open her mouth to tell this to Magnus when, suddenly, he was gone. He eyes widened and she flinched, squeaking with surprise and immediately beginning to scuttle forward.

"Magnus! Are you okay? What happened?" Was it magic? Some weird spell? Were the Overseers back to take him back to Hydra?! No, he was free now! He'd done his job - they both had. Their reward was freedom!

It worked. The yeti-creature was gone. Or, at least, stunned. Far away. He could not interfere now. But, just in case, Reseda still did not reveal her location. Instead, she slunk to the edge, looking down at the lizard and cracking open her jaws. Another spell scooped Amazon up from where she was running towards the yeti and sent her flying up to the ledge Reseda was perched on.

As she got closer to Reseda, her jaws opened wider and scooped the lizard out of the air. She didn't try to harm, but she didn't exactly avoid it either. She tasted a tinge of blood, but she doubted it was fatal - she would have actually felt it if it was.

@Quartz Eight-Six-Zero

Magnus could hear Amazon's voice, though it was faint. How far had he gone? He wiped his hand over his eyes in an attempt to clear them before peering around the room. He'd done so just in time to see Amazon snatched up by some invisible force. He managed to follow her path and saw--

One of the others who had been in the trial. He didn't know her name, had never bothered to learn the name of any other than Amazon. But he definitely recognized her. He grit his teeth. He couldn't just leave Amazon like this, in the jaws - literally - of someone who likely intended to hurt her. He'd just made a friend, he wasn't going to lose her now!

Slowly, wincing slightly at a now sore arm from where he landed, he managed to get up. His eyes narrowed as he glared directly at the giant lizard. He began to make his way over to her, determined to save his new friend.

Amazon was about halfway there when her body suddenly jerked. She stumbled, but her legs were flying off track. Something was pulling at her, throwing her back and she couldn't stop it. She shrieked, trying to fight against it, but the magic had her. Before she could process anything, she was trapped in darkness and damp warmth. She could barely see, but the faint glow of her gem illuminated it enough for her to recognize the inside of a mouth. There was a sting at her side and the scent of blood on her nose, but she didn't pay it mind.

She had no idea what was going on, but the size of the creature...and the magic...

"Reseda!" she squeaked as loudly as possible, pressing her claws against the clamped teeth and beginning to bang furiously against them. "Let me out, you big brute, let me out!" But her feeble strength was no match for a komodo dragon's bite. She was trapped.

She had her clamped in her jaws. Faintly, she could hear the sound of the lizard's complaints, but she ignored them. Useless. Pathetic. Weak. She was a tool for her to use now. And she would use it wisely.

She glared down at the yeti, but passed no words, mainly because she couldn't open her jaws. Her massive wings opened and she leaped from her ledge, turning and speeding away before he could get to her, flying straight towards the exit to Orion.

Before Magnus could get very far, he saw the giant lizard began to fly away. "No!" He yelled after her, but she was gone. He had to go after Amazon, find her. Save her from whatever was planned for her. He started going the way they had gone, hoping he'd be able to catch up. He had wings, just as she did, but he hadn't used them yet and didn't exactly trust his ability to do so. He'd have to practice later.

For now, he had to find Amazon.
