He'd first discovered the tunnel some time ago. The bone room was small, yes, but to the demon, it was the world. The tunnel was simply a part of that world. It had the same air as the bone room, what, to others, may have seemed like an air of wrong, but...it was home. Eventually, though, curiosity was too difficult to ignore. He hadn't gone all the way through. Not until now.

He emerged through the other end of the tunnel and immediately found himself stunned by what he saw. This...this was big. Way big. Way, way bigger then the room of bones.

The ceiling was glowing, the rocks were massive, there were no bones littering the floor, and the air, the atmosphere, it was so, so different. Open. Free. It was almost too overwhelming for the brute's simple thinking, and he almost turned and fled back to his home, but he couldn't. He was here now and there was so much more to see, so much more to find. More rats, perhaps, or other food - not smart food, but rat-level of intelligence.

As he cautiously began to work his way forward, the glow in his chest became stronger - excitement in his veins. Was this what having "fun" was supposed to be? When he wasn't caught up with the need to hunt and eat? It was great and, for the first time in his short, simple life, a smile began to tug at his lips.
