The alligator had been wading in one of the ponds before a fish had swam past his leg. It had startled him at first, causing the creature to kick back with that leg, only to send the fish swimming in a different direction. The gator hissed out a noise before sending himself outside of the water and on the banks of one of the ponds. It was quiet, which was a nice feeling for the alligator to be in. He was able to hear and feel every movement around him, everything was plenty serene for him.

Elias didn't mind that the waters here were cold, though he would have rather found a warmer location to sit himself. Maybe he would have to go explore more, and find warmer waters. Either way, now he was resting on the grey rocks, partially white body exposed to the elements.

This was just a tour.

No leisure would come of this trip, not by Alpha's standards - right?

It hadn't brought any one of its tiny siblings along on this expedition, which'd just been traversing in a generally straight line through Orion, following the distant sound of something. Oh, and what a something that'd been. The orthoclase had never seen water in such great quantities before. All to show for its awe was a slight unclenching of the jaw and widening eyes - that, and quills clicking and smoothing down completely. This cave carried a particular chill like Hydra did, and that was enough to disillusion it.

Pisces didn't hold enough majesty to really leave Alpha awestruck, but it sure did hold enough water.

The orthoclase swung its head left and right, searching the horizon for any potential attackers before trudging towards the water. It had to curl its toes a little - digging its talons into nooks and crannies provided by the slick river-rocks - to keep from slipping and sliding all over the place. Just before reaching the water, Alpha may have planted a foot solidly on the back of something that really ought be noticed as not a rock. Either it had no feeling in that foot, or it didn't care.

It stood for a moment, letting the cool water lap at its frontmost feet. Apparently deciding that the water was cool enough, it surged forwards - sliding through the shallows as halfhearted regret seeped in along with the frigid cold. Alpha hissed, quills puffing up like a cat's hackles might, and twisted in the water.

Dramatic.

Elias was still resting when something else came into the area he was in. Of course, the gator wasn't bothered when the figure came closer, white and greyish body atop the rocks. It was still nice- of course, until the other creature decided to go and step on him.

Now, Elias wasn't a mean creature, not at all. But one would think that they would notice a blotch of white on the rocks, considering the dark color of them. Eyes flashing open, the gator whipped around to either give a warning bite or smack em with his tail. Either way, now he was pissed

"Watch where you're walkin!"

First was the bite - which it recoiled sharply at, drawing in its claws and growling sharply - and then the "watch where you're walkin'!" Alpha's harsh gaze immediately slammed down on the previously unmoving rocks, and its quills rattled viciously.

Rather than outright go for the kill, the orthoclase lashed out with the very paw that'd been bitten, striking cat-like, but with each thumb curled so its claws would skim as it slapped Elias's snout. "Do not touch me," it hissed, almost catlike. Barking out the next few words ("don't sit in stupid places!") it knelt down slightly, hindquarters sinking to their knees in the water. Preparing for its next assault.

Elias grunted with a hiss when the strange feathered creature slapped at his snout. It created claw marks on his face, along with making Elias more angry. The gator didn't like fighting but who in their right mind would step on another creature? Elias didn't even look like the rocks in the area!

Eventually the wounds from this would ameliorate, heal, with time. But for now the gator wanted to show the strange green thing a piece of his mind! "Then don't step on me!" He hissed out, moving to chomp that paw that had slapped him again.

The alligator wasn't stepping down, and now the alligator had his teeth solidly around its foot. Alpha - predictably - hissed in response, then growled, "get your mouth off of my foot."

As if nothing here was its own fault.

It lifted its other arm, claws curled again but aiming for more of... a punch to the poor reptile's snout, to get him to let up and - well, remove his mouth from its foot.

Elias only grumbled in return when the strange creature demanded he let go of the foot in his mouth. The strange green thing shouldn't have stepped on him if it didn't want to get bitten! The gator's eyes weren't really... looking, at the claw that came down on his snout and punched. Ow! That also hurt!

The force of the punch made Elias recoil back and let go of the paw of the strange creature.

Nono he wasn't going to let the strange feathered thing walk all over him! So he surged forward again.

Gone were the jaws, and returned were the jaws - this time, they'd planted a little further up its arm, catching in a bunch of layers of molt and messiness. Neon-green blood sputtered from its claw and the fresh injuries, and it hissed.

Hitting wasn't going to work, it seemed.

Alpha growled, giving its most vicious cub-screech and rearing back its other set of claws, sending them on a trajectory straight for just poking at the gator's eyes. If he couldn't see, he certainly couldn't keep biting it.

Elias got a grip on the other creature's leg, and he had a pretty good grip on it too. Elias was mad because the weird glowy thing stepped on him, and he was going to get his payback for it. The strange thing shouldn't have stepped on the alligator if he didn't want to get bitten for it!

Claws came for his face and Elias immediately let go of the thing's leg, and tried to back up to dodge the attack, now closing his eyes to try and derail that; even though it wouldn't.... Really help much. He hoped that he could at least move enough to make the attack go somewhere else.

Elias let go, shying away from its claws and being rewarded with an annoyed grunt as Alpha swiped through thin air.

Hissing, the kaiju lurched forwards, reaching out with the same hand - this time, it was looking to catch that fat snout of Elias's and hold it shut, planning to lean over and cub-roar directly in his face: complete with lots of neon green spittle. "STOP," it growled, "stop attacking, and I let you go. Keep attacking, and I put teeth in your neck."

Childishly spoken, but sincerely furious.
