Azrael stepped into Canis, seemingly unphased by the journey all the way from Eridanus, snorting softly to wake up Forgraves, who he assumed was still sleeping on his head. "We are here." Without waiting for any respond, Azrael stepped further into Canis, breathing in that familiar air. He hadn't been here in...well, a long time. Not since before Mother, definitely.

"When I was young I lived here. I was not very smart. It is small, and strange, but what do you think?" He paused and squatted down, reaching forward to pick up one of the bones in his claws. It was a testament to how much he'd grown - a femur bone that had once seemed large in his hand was easier to carry then Forgraves. He snorted and dropped it, standing back up to gaze around the bone room.

Forgraves woke up, yawning. he looked around, chirping in awe. he looked around, taking it all in. he could see why Azzy liked it here! he looked at the bone Azzy picked up, letting out a soft "ooo..."
"i like it! very nice!" he barked smiling.

Azrael puffed, pleased that Forgraves liked it so much, and stood up. "We go see my old den. I have not been to it in a long time." He began climbing through the bones of Canis, occasionally having to climb over stones and piles of old, charred remains, making the ride a little bumpy, but he did what he could to keep it as even as possible. Eventually, they arrived at the wall, where the stone dipped into a small hollow, the floor clean and free of bones. Free of, well, anything.

Azrael stepped in and sat down, pressing his back against the wall and lowering his head to let Forgraves off, if he wanted to. Once they were settled, he made himself comfortable, leaning back with two arms resting across his belly, the other two limb at his sides. He stared at Forgraves for a moment before rumbling, "Have you picked a name yet?"

Forgraves chuckled during the ride, enjoying the occasional bump like it was a fun carnival ride. he jumped off as Azzy allowed him, and looked around, smiling, tail wagging.

he looked up, tilting his head. he tapped the ground for a moment, thinking... "for...grave...s.. forgraves!" he yipped, proud of his unique combination of sounds, a name, a name of his own! how exciting!

Azrael waited patiently while the pup picked his name and snorted at the little sound he made. "Forgraves?" He was silent for a second before reaching forward to take up the young fox in his hands and held him out before him, looking proud of this little canine that, for some reason, he'd grown quite fond of. "That's a good name. You are called Forgraves."

He held him in the air for a moment before releasing the fox back onto the ground, sitting up against the wall. "Forgraves. Do you know what kind of magic you have? I am curious, but not everyone knows right away."

Forgraves hummed, he hadn't really thought of magic, before noe he didn't realize he was supposed to have any... well, he thought of it. the work was there, somehow, on the tip of his tongue, maybe azzy would recognize it? "pokiyolt?" he attempted, coming out it almost sounded right, hopefully Azrael would correct him.

Azrael may have eventually developed a thinking, functioning brain, but that didn't mean he was particularly intelligent and Forgraves's announcement of "pokiyolt" confused him. "I do not...know what that is. Is that a different type of magic then I know?"

Perhaps a demonstration was in order, then. He lifted his hand and focused magic to flow into his palm, to make it glow a soft, colorless light. "I showed you my magic before, when I made shadows move. I bring darkness, but I may also bring light. There are many kinds of magic - magic that lets you breath fire, magic that lets you see the past and the future. Magic that makes you sick or heals you. I can do some of these. Try yours out."

he huffed, he didnt like pronouncing things wrong. his attention, however, was captivated by the lil display of magic Azrael showed him, smiling at his description of all the different kinds he could do. maybe one day he'd get azzy to show him them all?

he thought for a moment, did he have magic? oh well, might as well try...

he tried focusing really hard, it took a moment, and at first, he barely managed to get anything to work. as he focused, he realized he was able to conjure a lil cloud of.. something? instinctually he breathed it in, coughing slightly. it didn't really do much though, if anything, he felt a lil dizzy. he looked up at azzy. "did i do good?"

Azrael waited patiently for Forgraves to do something but all he did was...cough. Did his magic backfire or something? Maybe he had fire magic and was trying to breath out hot air and just failed. Azrael had done similar things when breathing fire - it had gotten stuck in his throat and he only coughed out smoke. But there was really nothing.

He waited for a moment, to see if something would happen, when he suddenly began to feel a little dizzy. He blinked, head waving to the side. "You...oh..." He raised a hand to rub at his temples. "My head hurts," he complained. "Did you do that? When you coughed?"

He groaned, closing his eyes for a moment and rubbed at his face with two of his hands. "Interesting magic. I do not know it."

he frowned, he didnt mean to make azzy feel bad! "d-dont know! i-i.. made...cloud?? of something. made me dizzy. i dont know.." he whimpered, tail sagging. was his magic always gonna do this? just make people hurt? tears formed at the corners of his eyes "sorry, Azzy, didn't mean to hurt you, sorry, sorry" he whined
