He was pacing now. That wasn't a good sign. That meant he was bored, right? That he didn't want to be here anymore. He had places to go, he didn't want to be hung up talking to her forever. And while she desperately wanted him to stay, even if to have company for a few moments more, she didn't want to keep him, stuck with her, when he so obviously wanted to be somewhere else.

Her ears twisted back, but she forced them to hold more still and straight as despair crept over her. She hated having to make these decisions, she hated just being stuck in this spot while others went out to see the world, had other lives that they liked to live. She was just someone to hold everyone else back, wasn't she?

"No," she forced herself to say, pulling a smile onto her face. "I'm alright. Thank you for telling me the story and for talking to me for a while. If you have somewhere else you want to be, then go ahead. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." She wouldn't be fine but...that was just the lie she told.

"Okay," Shango answered--not the most complicated of creatures, he was taking her at face value without really stopping to think about how she must really feel. He'd tried that a few minutes ago and that was his limit of intelligent empathy for the day, really.

That being said, he did pause before departing.

"If you get hungry you can learn to make bananas," he informed her. He didn't realize she might already know how to. He also didn't realize that she probably had no way to... eliminate waste. That actually eating might be a painful death sentence for the leopard.

A banana appeared, then: bright and sparkling, smelling sweet. "You can eat that, probably," he informed her--and then picked it up in his teeth, carrying it over to the edge of her neck-rimmed crystals.

He set it down there, carefully, and then asked--"Do you want it?"

Seshat was ready to watch him go with a longing stare and was a little surprised when he suddenly turned and placed a banana on her crystal mane. She looked down at it as best she could and, by way of a response, picked it up with magic and had it placed right in her open jaws. She very carefully bit into it, chewing on the mushy fruit and doing her best to tear through the tough exterior, but that didn't matter because it was delicious.

It wasn't anything like the jerky Attikias had given her - that was tough and meaty and gave her a deep, bestial satisfaction when eating but this was sweet and new and wonderful.

She ate it slowly, savoring the taste, before she conceded defeat and swallowed it down, looking at Shango with a soft glimmer in her eyes. That was another bit of the world that she hadn't experienced before that he had shown her. "It was delicious. Thank you."

Shango dipped his head, watching, and then turned away again.

"You're welcome. Maybe you can learn it, if you get hungry. Bye," he added--and then just... left.

The rain was trailing off, as he left--and likely would dry up soon after his departure, all dramatic-like... even though that's not what he'd intended to happen at all.

Regardless, he seemed to be finished with his visit, for now, off to do... whatever it was that Shango did.

The abruptness of Shango's exit had Seshat a little surprised and caught her a bit off guard. She watched him go with a melancholy gaze, the euphoria of the banana wearing off almost immediately. She was alone, again, but at least she had these new memories to keep her company. She shifted through them, remembering each and every detail and playing them over and over in her head.
