5th Anniversary Raffles
DAY 2 - 5 LINE RHYME

Raffles... ROUND TWO. For today's entries, please write a 5 line poem that rhymes, in any scheme you like—but please keep it, somehow, Origin related. Have fun!

Here's one that Lyn wrote for you. He reads it in a chorus of soft murmurs, purrs, and squeaks, but you feel like you understand what he is trying to say:

hello i am flower
im strong, very power
but nice, no worry!
i give you mcflurry
very cool, enjoy

Sniffles slithers closer to the area, multiple sets of red eyes blinking in confusion as they were told to think up a poem from a mysterious force. Oh boy!

The tree scream
Kind of makes you want to dream
about something kind of extreme
like a big bloodstream
gonna leave you in a daydream

May or may not be about the tree in The Divine but you didn't hear it from me

Scrawlings along a moss-covered wall show stories through words and song. A brief noise of a jangling chain sounds off in the distance.

in the deepest depths of old,
lies a cavernous story to be told.
beasts of yesterday,
meet creatures of today,
and soon the horror will unfold.

there seem to be a few discarded lines underneath, as well.

magic, manic, crystal, calm,
the spire watches over us all.
lashing, gnashing, claiming, changing,
for the spire is permanent, ever scathing.
for the spire holds life within its facets,
and deals a death swiftly as a stranger passes.
the spire has killed and grows ever stronger,
for the stranger has given its life to the mother.
cetus, canis, orion, polaris,
these are the warnings I give to thee,
I pray you find safety, wherever you may be.

baby damask sits in a quiet corner of canis, drumming a stick of graphite against her chin as she thinks of her father auré.
there must be some better way to express herself than with her voice. a way that gives her time to deliberate, compose, and revise.
a love poem? maybe ... maybe. she sticks out her tongue and reaches out to write carefully on the wall.

dear dad,
thanks for being very rad
it's nice to be here
and your darling dear
someday i will make you glad

she peers at it a moment. squints. no, yeah, that's pretty terrible. she promptly smudges it away.

i call this one... my perpetual state of being

sometimes a little thought weasels its way in:
"hey, you should rcs x," it says into my head.
so, i go to ask cj about it and i get it cleared.
then, another brainwave goes, "maybe you should rcs y instead."
by the time i actually decide, i'll have a beard.

I call this poem: what shall I spend my magicka on today?

What shall I spend my magicka on today?
Perhaps spells for that new character I just made?
Or maybe a sink that I really like to play?
Or how about for my Mother-hosting mermaid?
Oh, wait, I'm just a dummie. Art is the only thing getting my money.

I came for the cute critters with their jewels
Now those "elements of horror" make me a fool
Dragons, and plagues, the Overseer and his tools
I jumped right off that "cutesy" ledge
I'd better be careful I don't cut myself on all this edge

bonus poem by Giggle:

Bones, and bones
and also bones
I was all alone but word
Now I got fungus and my bird
and all those pretty bones

Epsilon has a lot of words. A lot just... don't make it out of their mouth. Most don't actually... but that may change.

A wayfair that leads to hellish sand
this place of betweens is where I stand
my blood bleeds blue but eyes burn red
I cannot fail or I am dead.

I want to leave but want to stay
but my opinion I cannot say
at least not yet, not these ears you see
it'd do you well to not trust me.

Old family lost,
Children tossed
New family found,
Life newfound
Yew's alone again

And a poem by Calypso

So many shiny and glittery things
Jewels and stones and round round rings
She stalks and she leaps
Manuevers and creeps
To get her paws on those prettily things
