Sorda jumped as Tupu fell down. It was hardly a surprise- Tupu was practically skin and bones.
"Are you okay?" She asked, concerned. How badly has Tupu been effected by the spire? Sorda felt a twindge of guilty that
they were the only one who hadn't been effected, but that was quickly interrupted by a strange twinge of almost-pain coming from where her gem met her foot.
Well, that's a problem for future me to solve. They thought,
Right now I have this rude dog to deal with.
It was clear her companions didn't like this dog any more than she. She frowned at the dog as they continued to laugh, waiting for them to finish so she could speak.
"Of course I won't do it in the future!" They shouted,
"We freaking EXPLODED!" She would've bared her teeth, if she had them, but instead she clacked her beak angrily.
"I get it! We did a dumb thing! Can't you just cut it out?" Her voice was practically dripping with exasperation and anger. She already had other problems to deal with- getting as far away from this caves-forsaken magic rock as possible, trying to figure out what was wrong with her foot, and figuring out why the last chrysalis hadn't hatched.
Her attention was now drawn to the last intact chrysalis- a chunk of colorful quartz. It was now she noticed the rather crude drawing scrawled across the the gemstone's surface. She whipped around to face Deli, her expression quickly changing from some mixture of guilt, sadness, and concern to the anger and frustration she felt towards the canine.
"Really? Did you do this? Of course you did." Their voice flared with reborn anger,
"You watched a bunch of kids EXPLODE and drawn on their TOMBS?" She shouted, her feathers fluffing,
"What is hell WRONG with you?"
"Words Words."
