Over the past couple days, Pride will have been seeking out everyone he can find. Talking to Group leaders. Chasing down solitary Gembound. And here's what he'll tell them:

In the past, the caves were different; controlled by these powerful forces. Overseer Vargas fears that these powers will destroy everyone in the caves, unless we go back to his ways.
His demands are that we cooperate when asked, and offer Give Stone gemstones when demanded, so that he can continue to churn out soldiers that these "powers that be" will undoubtedly come to collect--because if they turn up and find none available, we may die.
Therefore, we'll be holding a meeting at the Forum in Orion to decide what to do about all this. To decide whether to obey, and go back to the old ways, or some semblance of them--or refuse, and risk death. Gembound are only asked (IC) not to attempt violence on anyone else at the meeting. It's a gathering for ideas and cooperation, not combat.
Further details about the situation will be revealed at the meeting itself.
