Other creatures going along with Alrik's plans so easily was extremely useful for Alrik in the moment, and probably one of the worst lessons he could learn in the long run. But who cares about the long run when currently, in the moment, you're about to scale a giant heaping tower of old?! Literally no one! Especially not Alrik!

The kitten agreed to the plan by simply trying to approach and scramble onto Shen's back. Alrik figured that since Shen's tune had changed about the kitten's original plan, Shen would try it for itself this time. That was totally, completely fine by Alrik. The cub was convinced that'd work, especially since Shen was bigger than Alrik.

Privately, the child hoped he wouldn't always need the help of strangers bigger than he was. It would probably be fine. He would grow up to be big and powerful! No need to worry, right? No! If everyone he encountered was bigger than he was, that just meant that he'd get bigger too!

If Shen let him on, Alrik would try to hold as tight as possible, perhaps digging in a little bit with his tiny kitten claws. That might've tickled or stung, but Alrik wouldn't know.

He winced as alrik hopped on, but otherwise looked as enthusiastic as ever. as soon as alrik was securely on his back-fluff, he backed up slightly, sights on the large, old, probably violating several real world health and safety codes, building. "3... 2... 1... LIFTOFF!" he honked like a majestic reptilian donkey (which wasnt entirely untrue) and leapt at the column, hugging it, thinking for a moment what to do next...


as he got the hang of his footing, turning back a moment to make sure alrik was still on, he began careful and experimentally placing his paws and hands on the crystals, backing off ones that seemed too loose and hanging on the ones sturdy enough. "aye, we're doin it, matey!" he cackled, climbing up further

With a countdown, up they went! Alrik felt adrenaline pulse throughout himself as, with the power of strength, they temporarily defied gravity. Was this how it had felt for Shane Go? Incredible! A kittish squeal would escape from Alrik and fear would tighten the chains of Alrik's grip on Shen. They were really vertical, weren't they? Quiet and distressed mews would press forth from Alrik's maw occasionally as the terrain was tested. This felt so very wrong, but so very cool, but so very dangerous, ACK!

Determination seemed to be able to drive this cat towards the darkest depths and the brightest stars, however. Determination and downright stupidity. When Shen confirmed that indeed, it was being done, Alrik couldn't help but squeak out a triumphant "Yes!
