deep within the glittering caves of orion a small, almost paw sized chrysalis lay new and bright. it shimmered with color, not unlike the sleeping creature inside. the small hatchling whimpered the softest cry as it awoke, a yawn, as it stretched its new and stiff bones. her eyes opened slowly, letting out a soft 'mreep!' as she shook herself awake, pressing her tiny paws against the walls of her chrysalis, but, due to lack of experience using said tiny baby paws, it proved itself to be for naught. she sniffled, squeaking as she tried to shake herself free, the small chrysalis moving ever so gently to outside eyes.

Carja was sniffing around Orion looking for something shiny to bring back to the dragons. She'd become awfully good at finding things to give them as gifts, though when all else failed, a flower or a bubble seemed to suffice. They were easily pleased by her gifts, even if it was just a stick! She had no clue why...

The dragon nearly tripped over something as she walked, and turned to inspect it, blinking as it shook gently. She cooed and nosed it tenderly, tail wagging. It was shiny... and there was life inside! A friend!!

"Hhhhh? Hiiii?" she asked curiously, trying to see if whoever was inside would answer her.

the new voice startled her greatly, peeping in fright as the creature inside fumbled into the wall, cracking it.
the walls of the chrysalis swiftly peeled down at the release, blooming if you will, revealing the small creature inside. she couldn't have been bigger than carja's hand, so close to being smaller. she looked up, peeping in curiosity, padding wobbly over out of her shell and onto carja's foot. "mreep?"

Now, Carja wasn't used to being gentle, but she tried her best as she very gently sniffed the tiny dragon, instinct telling her to be as careful as possible. She sniffed at the chrysalis, amazed by how much it looked like a flower, before laying down to be on the same level as Lass.

"H-hullo," she said, blinking gently as she watched the small dragon move.

She herself was very slowly learning language, mostly different greetings, swears, and every way possible to say, 'butt', 'poo', or 'fart'. But she definitely tried to greet this teeny little being, so small that she was convinced that one wrong move could crush her.

the tiny hatchling gently pressed her tiny paws on carja's nose, giggling, "hullo! hullo!" she squeaked, repeating carja's words. her floppy petal-like hair flops over her eyes comically, her squeaking in surprise.

@Carja

Carja's tail wagged in excitement, and she licked at Lass's tiny paws gently, barely able to keep her excitement in. She gently pushed the baby's hair out of her eyes and practically melted at the sight of her pretty baby blues, nearly matching her own in color.

"Small!" she said with glee, so happy to have met this tiny little character that she wanted to just dance.

she squeaked giggling, peeping in joy as she look up at carja, climbing up her snout with a struggle to sit upon her head, laughing as she hung gently in front of one her eyes. "up! up! small go up!" she chirped happily.

she was padding gently on carja's head, giggling as she did something akin to a happy tap dance.

Carja squawked and raised her wings, taking to the skies with ease, practice making perfect. She was careful to keep her head level, ready to catch the little one should she fall. She was so small it wasn't much different than trying to carry a fish, and so she easily floated upwards and into the air.

"Fly!!" Carja squealed in glee, "Fly high!!"

Delighted at having a buddy to fly with, Carja floated over Orion, wings spread out wide to catch the air, allowing her to glide and only flap when she lost too much altitude.

she let out a tiny, joyful rawr as they flew in the air, practically hugging one of her head spikes. she wiggled, she wanted to fly too! she wanna fly! she looks to her back, smiling as she noticed she had wings too! she wiggled once more, in preparation, stretching her wings, and jumped off...

she closed her eyes in preparation for the worst, but squealed happily as she was able to hold herself up, flapping, flying shakily after carja, squeaking, twirling around her head

Carja squawked and went to catch Lass, only to watch her flutter around like a butterfly. She laughed happily and chased after her slowly, happy to play with the smaller dragon.

"Fly!!" Carja shouted happily, so proud of the little munchkin she'd met not even a minute ago.

She needed to show her family this tiny little dragon- they would love her just as much as Carja did, she was sure of it.
