Carja had managed to flutter all the way from Orion and back to Monoceros, panting gently as she tried her best to get back to Svartis' den, her little shoulders aching as she pulled her and her cargo along. Finally, she managed to get to the den, flapping hard so that they didn't crash land. She flopped onto the ground with a soft grunt and twisted her head to nudge Lass off and onto her wing, letting her slide down onto the ground.

"... Dad? DAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!! DAD!!" she crowed loudly, hopping forward like a rabbit as she gently ferried Lass inside, proud to show her brand-new father figure her new friend who she loved a lot, thank you very much.

With one last inhale, she bellowed out the mightiest roar she possibly could, though, in reality, it wasn't much more than a high-pitched wail. She'd learn to roar eventually.

Lass woke gently from her comfortable nap in carja's claws after hearing that 'roar' carja let out. she squeaked, yawning as she stretched, carefully climbing through her claws to sit on her head again, examining the area, cooing in childish awe.

For once, Svartis wasn't lobbing chunk after chunk of ice at the walls of his den and spiffing up the place. It was in a nice enough state to leave alone and be comfortable in. Glimmering, shining blue. His favorite color to fall asleep to.

He could ignore the flapping of wings for a bit - could be a bat, could be his mother coming back from a hunt... could be... Carja? His fins smacked against either side of his neck as he unfurled and shook himself. "Huh?" he called dumbly, waddling out of the shadows and staring down at his brand-new daughter figure. "What, Carja? Inside voice, please... ?"

Svartis knew the latter was futile to ask for, but he could try.

Lass went unnoticed, for the moment, due to sheer smallness.

Carja tap-danced on the floor in sheer excitement, her breathing picking up and quicking for a moment before settling back down just as fast, a little tic of hers. She galloped forward and smushed herself into Svartis' leg, and latched her jaws on one of his toes to try and drag him forward.

"Com'on!! Look-" she said around his foot before letting go and scuttling back to Lass and picking her up in her front claws, holding her up to Svartis as her wings held her up.

"Lass!!" she crowed in sheer and utter glee, her tail flopping against the cold floor like crazy as she put on her best baby eyes and looked up at Svartis.

Can we keep it?

she giggled as she was promptly picked back up and thrusted into the air into svartis's face. she looked at him, squeaking, he was much more intimidating than carja, somehow. she tilted her tiny head, peeping, trying to stand, waving her tiny baby paws in the air, wanting to climb onto his head.

Svartis stared down at the offered child, icy eyes quirking up at first. Well, that's a pleasant surprise. The little creature giggled and flailed her paws towards his head, but... "that's not a Lesser, is it? Lass?" He dipped his head down, if only to get a closer look.

"Where'd you find her?" (Please don't say the sandy place, please don't say the bones place -) Caves, if he breathed too hard, she'd fly away.

Carja had definitely found the situation utterly hilarious and had brought the damn thing into the den, letting it loose, much to everyone's dismay. How'd she'd even caught the thing without being bitten, scarred, or just plain killed was a miracle in of itself.

"No!" Carja said, "Laaaass. Name! Star place!!"

Star place... what an adorable way to say 'Orion'. She seemed incredibly proud of herself, too. Her tail would not stop flinging back and forth, to the point that she very nearly fell over from one incredibly wild swing.

lass seemed to take great joy in svartis leaning down, immediately seeming to flail herself from carja's hands and land onto his snout, crawling. oddly enough, it'd be discovered no pain would come from this, her paws seemingly clawless, even as they flexed. she happily climbed to the top of his head, only exploring, innocent exploring. she climbed to the tip of one of his horns, rawring a happy roar like she was queen of the world.

"Laaaass." Ah, yes. I should've know- "Name!" "Oh - you mean her name is Lass. She's... talking? The talking sort?" Icy eyes stared down at the little bean, absolutely in awe of how small she was compared to Carja. The kaiju-dragon was tiny, and yet she'd found something yet smaller. "How'd you find someone so little in there? Magic?"

Or... luck?

Wait - Svartis jolted as the teacup dragon launched at his face. What's with these kids and jumping at faces - yeesh. He held very still, trying not to accidentally toss her off with a rough movement or anything. "Was she... with anyone?" (On the off-chance Vargas was playing with tiny monsters, of course.)

If the black dragon had a frozen heart, that pipsqueak roar would've melted at least an inch or two off of it.

Carja puffed her chest out proudly and grumbled happily, "I name- named, named! I named her!"

The dragon fluttered upwards to land on Svartis' snout too, giggling happily as she blepped her tongue out and shook her head. She saw no one else, thankfully.

The she-dragon slid down Svartis' face and plopped onto the ground, and quickly went after one of his legs, only to trip over her own wing and go flying head-over-heels, her back hitting Svartis' shin. She lay there, stunned, and looked up at the dragon, cooing gently in embarrassment as she quickly righted himself and hid behind his leg instead, burbling quietly as she tried to regain her dignity.
