A huge chunk of blue-ish grey water opal sat in the middle of Polaris, lit by the surrounding glowing crystals and mosses. Right across from it, just far enough so the magic of one wouldn't devour the other, was a brilliant chunk of fire opal. It was quiet and calm- at least in this part of Polaris.

But not for long.

The creature inside the water opal- a snake, roughly a foot long, coiled up like a spool of yarn. It stirred, and yet, it found it could hardly move. It could shift, if they tried hard enough, but nearly all the space within the gemstone was already taken.

He twisted, shifting until he was less of a tangled thread and more of a coiled spring. He pressed himself against the back of his chrysalis, and, instinctively attempting to draw on his magic to aid him, he slammed full-forced into the side of his chrysalis. The spell had failed, but even then, he'd crash through the weak gemstone wall, still going at a decent speed even as he crashed through it and into whatever lied on the other side.

Which just so happened to be a cheetah cub.

the glimmering chunk of fire opal SHOOK violently. the creature inside had long since realize they were trapped in this sparkly, pretty, shiny prison, and was *slamming* into the sides of the walls to break free.

once he was actually ABLE to, with a loud victorious roar of a mighty (baby) cheetah, he tumbled onto the floor, crashing into the snake who had tumbled out only milliseconds before. he yelped as he hit his noise, scittering back with a hiss.

The victory of escaping his awfully cramped prison came to a quick, confused end when he rammed his snoot right into the nose of another cheetah. He hissed in shock before continuing his fall to the ground, landing in a tangle of snake. He pulled himself up from where he had fallen on the floor like an extra long spaghetti noodle, curling up and arching his neck to look down at the cheetah cub.

He flicked his tongue out, trying to decide whether this new creature was friend or foe. He'd stare at the creature with his less-than-great snake vision, before leaning forward, aggressively snoot-booping the creature again. But this was a challenge! A call to WAR!

he looked at the snake with a look of similar cautious curiosity. he hissed again as the snake aggressively booped his nose, moving to bop the thing on the head, how dare it!

he brought down his paw hard on the snakes snoot, pushing his head into the dirt, but giggling, as this was entertaining to a small baby. war time!

He let out a tiny little baby hiss as he was pushed into the dirt. So this WAS in fact war! So be it, then!

The cheetah cub's giggling only made the little snake angrier. With another angry little hiss, he'd swing his tail around wildly, trying to smack the cheetah back.

It was hard to aim with a facefull of dirt, but he managed to get at least one hit to the cheetah's leg. Not really hard enough to DO anything, except maybe hurt for a moment and make him angrier, but hey! He tried!

chad yipped at he was whipped with the snakes tail, hissing, backing up slightly before trying to pounce

however, this did not happen. he whined as his nose scraped across the dirt, completely missing the snake, sniffling. "owiee..." he mewed.

He had just enough time to pull his face out of the dirt to watch the cheetah pounce right at- and over- him. He'd turn, watching for a moment, before using this opportunity to attack, while the cheetah was whining about his hurt nose.

He coiled, much like he had in the chrysalis, and drew on his magic. This time, it worked more-or-less like he intended. Powered by the bounciness of the spell, he launched himself at the cheetah, hitting him right in the side, and sort of tangling himself around the cheetah the best he could- though, a little bit thrown off from his 'launch,' he wasn't very tightly coiled around the cheetah.

"AAAA!" he yelps as the snake bounced at him mewing in distress. he tried to summon forth uhhh. somethin! somethin felt like it should be summoned. so he tried.

and he failed, he slapped at the snakes sides but nothing happened.

Brock hissed as the cheetah slapped at it, the slap only egging him on. He'd twist around, trying to get in a better position to beat up this other small child.

He got in a suitable attack position, so he raised his tail up and prepared to smack the cub with it. He'd land a solid smack on the cheetah's flank, though the smack caused him to promptly go falling off of the cheetah, with how loosely he'd been holding on prior. He picked himself up and hissed quietly.

he yipped as he got smacked again, rawring in defiance as he lunged forward again, trying to summon forth the magic again.

he lunged at him, his paws burning and aching but he could barely notice as he whacked the snake fresh across the face, ending up accidentally hugging him as he fell forward, scorching the earth below
