Tahi-shei had hatched in Orion, met Pride in Orion, and had somewhat fallen in love with Orion. The temptation of Eridanus and Fornax had been a great one, but he'd found that Pride's lackluster flickering hadn't piqued his interest too much. Instead, he had opted to remain with the Seven, at least for now -- they were protecting dear Tahi-shei from the dangers of the caves, answering questions he had, and generally being kind to him. Ultimately, fate had brought him to the Seven, and he was never one to deny his fickle life-giver.

But fate was also drawing him out to the Throne, relentless curiosity and the knowledge that in the high stone walls of Orion, the Seven (and maybe some golems) were only a scream away emboldening him. Something had built this -- perhaps the golems? He sniffed high and looked around for one.

He caught sight of a formation of rock some distance away, watching it for a moment before catching sight of its movement as it approached some discarded shards of gemstone. He was unsure if they had belonged to something living or if they were perhaps just bits of a chrysalis, but the creature pressed the stone into its shoulder and a faint light fused them together.

The golem took no notice of Tahi-shei, but he returned his eyes to the throne. There were wallcrawlers to be found in its shadow, gnawing on bits of the floor in their steady pace, but he couldn't find anything interesting other than dust. He nudged a wallcrawler with his hoof and turned it on its side, its little legs wiggling before it righted itself. They were cute, in a way.

Aran found himself in Orion. He'd hatched there, from what he remembered. The owl from before teaching him of life and death, and of magic. The Barasingha had changed a lot since then. Had a number of spells he knew how to use, experience in having to chrysalize once again due to injuries. He'd met so many different kinds of creatures. So maybe returning to his birthplace was inevitable. With how pretty it was the deer couldn't simply stay away. The things on the top that created light, he couldn't help but stare as he moved, long bony legs moving with a confidence only the deer could have.

Eventually, he spotted one almost alike to him when he was small, except clearly not the same. The spots were different. And so was the body type. He found himself approaching.

Tahi-shei heard the sound of hoofbeats approaching against the stone and looked up, immediately taking notice of the way the strange green stone was worked through the antlers. He figured that it must have been painful when they dropped, since the antler would have to shed and leave the stone totally exposed. Then again, maybe their antlers don't drop? he wondered, flicking his ear in greeting. "Hello! Be careful of your magic, there's a golem over there. Do you know anything about this throne here?" He nodded at the structure indicatively. "Oh, my name is Tahi-shei Deimos, by the way. What's yours?"

He wasn't watching Aran anymore, his attention having returned totally to this little mystery. He didn't think anyone knew who this belonged to, honestly, but it was still intriguing. Just because Tahi-shei thought everything happened for a reason didn't mean that he didn't still want answers, after all! Just because he believed that his life was plotted neatly along a straight line of possibility with little to no room to fundamentally change anything beyond what had already been decided for him didn't mean in the slightest that he still didn't want to know why Fate had made their decision. Perhaps his biggest (which nobody had yet been able to answer) was why did he exist but Tahi-shei figured the answer to that question would reveal itself in due time. That, or he'd have to go looking in dark places for his answer.

The young deer started speaking when he approached, mentioning something about a golem. He didn't want anything to do with such a thing - especially if it could be dangerous. Not after his encounter with the batcat jrs. He didn't want to mess with those again, either. Though a golem would be easier to defeat in the way that there wasn't hundreds of them swarming one gembound, and one area. "I do not." He replied to the question.

The thing looked eerie. He was curious now. He would have raised a brow if it was possible. "Aran. Is my name."

Tahi nodded and went back to his investigation of the ancient throne. "I haven't been alive for very long, but this thing is really interesting! I've heard that most creatures in the caves popped up sometime between about sixty cycles ago and now, but that there are some who were alive before that -- just in chrysalis for a long time. I bet this comes from before that, judging by how old it is and the fact that nobody I've talked to knows what it is." He looked over the massive throne, investigating the massive reptilian skeleton attached to the back. "Whatever sat here looks like it was bipedal, and maybe that it didn't like lizards?"

He hopped up onto the throne himself, his hooves disturbing the dust in the seat as he pranced in a little circle before hopping back down and investigating his hoofprints. "At least the sound is nice. What do you think, Aran? Who do you think it belonged to?"

The small kid seemed to be searching for information - Much like Aran himself did. Two heads were better than one, as some would say. Though he didn't particularly care how long the caves had been there, or how long the gembounds had been inside. He wanted to know why they were stuck inside the caves - though he didn't know if they were literally stuck from something on the outside. Was there even anything outside the cave walls?

The question came up of who the throne belonged to. That large creature from before came to mind - Vargas his name was? It was hard to remember - that was so long ago.

"Perhaps someone like Vargas." He noted, not bothering to explain who it was even if the kid had never met the creature.

Tahi didn't react too severely to the mention of the name considering his previous interaction with Overseer Alpha, but he did look back towards Aran with visible excitement. "Oh, what about Vargas? Tell me everything you know! I've only heard the name in passing," he explained quickly, moving around to sniff at the reptilian skeleton on the back. "I wonder if the throne is magical... actually, wait, it probably can't be because the golems don't seem interested in it." He licked one of the bones and made a face, immediately regretting his decision. Tasted like dust, and stuck awkwardly to his tongue.

It seemed not many Gembound touched this place, and that made its mystery all the more intriguing to curious little Tahi-shei.

The excitement that showed in the younger deer's eyes was confusing to the Barasingha, Vargas really wasn't all that exciting. Except for maybe by title - maybe Aran would go find that creature again to try and say hello. He didn't even take into consideration that the thing that almost caused his death was that being's kid.

"He's big... purple and not all that exciting." the deer replied. Aran didn't know much about the giant reregardless, just that he was kind enough to teach Aran about magic when he was young.

Tahi withered a little bit at the definitive evidence that Aran didn't seem to know much. "If he's not that exciting, why would the throne belong to someone like him?" he prodded gently. It was an interesting concept, though... this throne probably belonged to someone old, and Tahi-shei knew that the masters were very old, so they probably did know something. He sighed and looked the throne over again.

If only he had a way to tap into history... oh, but maybe Pride could? He knew that Pride had a lot of spells; maybe he had one that would let him see the past. It was... certainly an idea.

Aran supposed that the smaller deer was more right than he would like to admit. Though Aran felt that Vargas was more exciting looks wise than anything else. When hed spoken to the purple being it had been kind of... distant, in a way. Kind of like that owl from before. Though the large thing did seem to know a lot about death and that should have sent off red flags before, but it didn't.

"Vargas is a very big being." he explained, the throne was big, too. Though Aran himself was extremely curious about it, now that he had gotten into it.
