If you take care of me, I'll take care of you

To wander, oh, to wander...it was what had Regalia in is gentle grasp for many cycles. Cycles of loneliness, thinking, and musing...learning much of its world but little of itself. But, then again, even it could not truly understand the concept of deity. After all, it had come to the conclusion that it held some form of mortality in its self, as it found itself forced to feed every so often and susceptible to wind, as it had found out, quite unfortunately, in its trip to Monoceros. There were flaws - as all things did - yet, still, it prized itself on being higher then all others. Because no matter where it went or who it met, claws could not rip its body, stone could not stop its tracks. It was formless light and matter, bendable into any shape, although Regalia found discomfort in leaving the signature shape of its life-giver.

Yet in all its wanderings and learning...it knew that there was still more to learn. Still more to discover. And on this day, it set it sights on something...else. It, itself, did not kill other gembounds to survive, as the savage gembound did, but it had noticed the strange liquid left behind when the bodies were rendered into nothing. Black oil that shimmered strangely.

And Regalia wondered...it wondered just what this oil could be. It had found a pile here, an abandoned carcass left to rot, and it got close...closer...until the paw touched the top and began to spread around the oil. Curious, it followed suit until its entire body had enveloped the oil. Nothing, however, happened and it pulled back, disappointed.

It turned and floated away from the oil, mindlessly drifting through Polaris, once again, to seek more knowledge or more creatures elsewhere...
