The purr rumbled in her throat, swelling in volume as she lay there with Leon. Everything felt so perfect now. She was his home and he was the light. Together it was the perfect little abode. Sappy, yes, but that was how she felt. Together they were whole. "I love you... I love you..." She whispered to him. She repeated it, hoping he would find comfort in the words just as she found comfort in him.

Even as she felt him drifting away she repeated it. Until she too herself felt consciousness slipping away. It had been a long exhausting day and it was finally catching her up. The lioness didn't release him, instead she rested her head against his chest. Closing her eyes and falling asleep within his embrace.
