Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Hunter had missed the start of this one for a well deserved potty break, but as he returned he found himself wincing. He was still a bit sore from his own match... And watching as a dragon-like beastie, slamming herself again and again into some poor tomcat, he couldn't help but grimmace. Ow, ow, ow!
Hey, was this going too far? Hunter's hand tightened on his spear as he stood on the sidelines, eyeing the judges uncertainly. What if she broke his bones, jumping on him with all her weight like that? Couldn't she just, you know, lay on him until he gave up? It seemed a bit violent...
Hunter hadn't given up though, so he doubted that the fluffy kitty would either. How far would it go? Had his fight been like this-- just as painful to watch? Maybe he should go apologize for worrying his dad.
He didn't want to say anything though; conflict of interest and well... That's what the judges were for, right?

MAGICKA LEVEL 100% RESTORED TO 100%
As expected, being on the ground was the worst place to be.
Alrik couldn't escape what was coming for him. "OOF--" was the only thing that managed to get away from this scene.
Being winded and bruised, Alrik was finding it hard to have the strength to keep going on. Carja's words, then, were a mistake, because they fueled him. A snarl was evoked from his throat, growl which he escalated into a yowl. He could use the momentum, use her weight. With that yowl, and a heave of effort...
...Nothing could come of it.
So Alrik just screamed directly in her face "I WILL NOT YIELD! NEVER! SCREW YOU!" He could be good at blocking things. Deflecting. Ignoring how much it hurt to be underneath not only this dragon's weight, but under the expecting, judging eyes of a crowd.
To be proven wrong.
Round: 4/5 Attempt:Flip Carja over so Alrik is on top. Screeeeem Defense: Lol no Injuries: My eyes hurt now, and my shoulder is definitely bruised (booboo'd), and I've been BODY SLAMMED. @Carja
ROLL 7
Alrik attempts Physical Combat ( Flip this noodle! )

Carja sat up and remained sitting on Alrik's back, rubbing her eyes with a fist before placing it back down. She stayed there rather contently, tail whapping on the ground over and over.
"What does that mean?" she asked, before remembering she was in a fight and remaining firmly planted, wings slightly spread to ride out his bucks and wiggles, "Oh- I mean stay down! You uh... um... buttface!"
She was very proud of herself at the insult. And the fact that so far, she'd only gotten sand in the eyes and had remained relatively unharmed! Yay!! She couldn't let her guard down, though, for the cat could always turn the tables at the last second.
Round: 5/5
Attempt: Keeping him pinned with her bodyweight.
Defense: N/A
Injuries: Pocket sand in the eyes.

AAAAAARGH NOW SHE WAS SITTING ON HIM?!? DID SHE HAVE NO RESPECT?!
Alrik yowled once more at her insults. He was already down, did she HAVE to humiliate him too?! Creatures like this didn't DESERVE to win! She was like that green-eyed beast! UNHEROIC, UNCOOL, INSIGNIFICANT, "AAAAAAAAAH!"
If he could just push her off... her guard was down, if he could JUST--
--PUSH HER OFF!! Alrik would attempt to roll with all his might to one side, effectively becoming a rolling log underneath Carja. The physical message should be pretty absurdly obviously here too: GET OFF, GET OFF, GET OFF ALREADY!!!*
Round: 5/5 Attempt: Roll underneath Carja to get her off. Defense: Lol no Injuries: My eyes hurt now, and my shoulder is definitely bruised (booboo'd), and I've been BODY SLAMMED. AND SAT UPON!!! @Carja ((*this is not being said out loud.))

MAGICKA LEVEL 100% RESTORED TO 100%
There were... numerous times where Eythan was on the edge of his rock-filled seat, talons clutching at the rock and waiting for the first syllable of a cry for help or some signal to stop. Damn if he wasn't worried about the kid getting... well, wailed on. And sat on. As if all the physical bruises weren't enough - poor thing's got a pride problem to deal with now, too.
So, when Shengxaio stepped in, it was definitely high time to call it quits.
"Well - !" he started, and cleared his throat, "Carja wins this round and moves on - and Alrik'll continue to fight in our next bracket!" (Which is yet to be drawn out because I sure can't write or draw! Eythan thought, as an aside.) Once that official announcement was done, the gryphon glided into the arena and looked Alrik over, "hey, kiddo, can you stand? Let's get you checked by a medic real quick."
If the cat obliged, he'd lead the way towards Oliver, on standby.
Hunter couldn't help but shuffle over at the end of the fight, big worried bicolored eyes peering at Alrik. Obviously, he wasn't a medic-- he uh, knew how to put a wrap around a scrape, sure... but he was probably just more in the way. "Is there anything I can do?" He asked, glancing between the cat and the medics on standby.
There really wasn't anything for the young woman to do, though. He wasn't about to be shooed away without saying something, though, so he gave a warm smile and a wave to catch Alrik's attention. "Hey, you'll do better next time. I thought it was awesome how you didn't give in. Takes some real guts, you know?" Okay-- okay, now he'd let himself be shooed off...
He scurried off, passing Carja as he went. "Hey, you were wicked! I'll be cheering for you next match!" Though, if they ended up fighting each other, he wasn't going to pull any punches. Hey, maybe he'd sit on her! Haha, that'd be funny.
Alright, time to get ready for the next set of rounds. He could not wait to see what happened next!
He refused to look up. He'd gotten her off, he was standing up, he was leaving now. Not responding to a single word anyone was saying. He could stand. He was fine. He was AWESOME actually, it's just that... I don't know, something had kept him from showing it! Tripped him up! It wasn't him. He was FINE.
To the medic on standby, and then to next bracket. He'd show them there just how perfectly fine he was! A bruise on his shoulder and chest hurt, like a lot, but he could still stand! HE WAS FINE!
To be honest, Alrik was still pretty proud of himself for that. He could still stand. After all that, after being toppled almost completely, he could still stand! If he could take that, then with time, with patience, he could take even more.
He could fathomable think, not just dream, of a day when getting body-slammed and sat upon didn't hurt so much. And that's how he would win.
