Apparently The Cat wasn't pleased with its name. It wanted to add an "Other" in there. What for?! Flavor?!? Madhukar frowned, disapproval blatant in her narrowed eyes. To further display her contempt, Madhukar focused on her shoulders and chest. The spark would WORK this time, she'd make it and it would stop embarrassing her! Her static seemed to agree, and it followed its path all the way to the finish; an uneven arc starting from her left shoulder, crossing her chest, and ending higher up on her right shoulder. "I said The Cat, no other in it. What's the other even for?"

See, Madhukar didn't understand "species". It was all much simpler for her. The only thing that differentiated creatures for her were whether they were weird (usually goopy somehow), annoying (brats), or just... nothing at all (everyone else). OR whether they were objectively just good (bugs!). She'd never registered herself as "cat" or Sniffles as "giant snake" or the wiggler as "elongated dog". She probably would've hissed at the suggestion that her species and the original bully-brat's were related. Thus her confusion about tagging on "Other" to a perfectly good, perfectly stupid name. If The Cat had wanted to name itself, then it should've just DONE that instead of bugging Madhukar about it!!

Then The Cat moved, and Madhukar's fur bristled. Her eyes were locked on the target. What was it planning to do...? Ah. Ask another question, obviously in an attempt to infuriate Madhukar further. Was The Cat asking if Madhukar's birthplace or last location was stupid, or was she wondering if the tunnel went a stupid amount of far--? Oh it was Madhukar's birthplace. An attempt at an insult. A failed attempt. "This'un goes for a bit. Leads to three places. An' the place where I came outta my rock was stupid. That's why I left it. 'Cause I'm not," Madhukar explained, matter-of-factly with an acerbic flavor to her tone. Like having a grocery list read to you by an upset lemon.

Madhukar leered at The Cat. "Whysit matter?"

The Cat watched Madhukar's actions closely through narrowed eyes. This torbie was older, and larger, and far more powerful than her, but that didn't make her any less stupid. Look at her! Look at that smug little face! That trail of stupid magic-sparkle-things trailing up her shoulder!

Ah, but she was speaking now. A black paw curled, flexing claws in and out, as she listened. Wh.. what did she mean by 'What's the other even for?'?! For her, obviously! For her dumb stupidity! It was obvious they were the same animal (at least, different from that funny deer she saw earlier), and her brain told her they were both "cats". The Cat's fur pricked, but she held her tongue. She'll curse her out when she was not under the constant threat of this dumb sparkle stuff.

Her broken tail lashed as she looked out into the tunnel. "It's for you, stupid. I'm The Cat and you're The Other Cat, Maddy." Mad kept on talking, about how the tunnel went on before leading to three places. Well, how descriptive was that. "-'an I wanna know," the siamese hissed, "So I can get as far away as possible from you!" Oh wait-- shit-- hadn't she just called it Idiot land? "N-not to Idiot Land! Not from where your stupid face came from! I'm going the other way." Pointedly, The Cat spun right around and stalked away from Mad, towards the Polaris entrance. "'Cause I'm a smartie, so I'm going to Awesome Land!"

Madhukar watched The Cat's body language with great scrutiny. Prickly, thorny even, it seemed. What in the world was this thing's deal? Had Madhukar been like this at first?! No, it couldn't be; at least Madhukar had the sense to be quiet and sensible when NOTHING WAS WRONG (and it wasn't her fault that the world tended to throw wrong things at her all the dang time; take now as an example)!! She was giving The Cat what it wanted, right?! So why, why then--

WHY DID IT CALL HER MADDY?!? "THAT'S NOT MY NAME! NONE of those are my name!" she boomed, fangs becoming very obvious in that moment. That was even worse than just being called 'Mad'! What right did ANYONE think they had to shorten the name SHE had made for HERSELF?!

Yes. Of course it had not yet occurred to this violent, oblivious kitten that nicknames tended to be an affectionate thing. Bugs were an affectionate thing, screw everything else.

Then this two-or-three-or-five-billion-time offender, after making inane remarks about Madhukar also being whatever the heck a "cat" was, decided to make some more. Was it obsessed with trying to prove Madhukar's lack of intelligence solely by its own word of mouth? Because the only thing it was proving was how stupid it was.

Even The Cat's flub up of an insult wasn't amusing anymore. Madhukar, who's name was MADHUKAR by the way, was just tired of the superfluous amount of name-calling going on.

So she attempted to pounce at the cat, possibly hoping to tackle and pin it against the ground.

Violence was not the main purpose of such an action. Pinning the complete buffoon down was not requisite, intimidating it was the aim. Maybe it'd shut up for two seconds if it was scared enough. It appeared as though her immobile paw would make her start the pounce off balance (a reason why she favored hunting via magic), so when she landed she might be wobbling or even almost trip. It certainly wouldn't be very dignifying, but maybe it'd get the point across anyways.

Whether or not she made it, Madhukar would yell, "Why d' you want so badly to call me DUMB?! You don' even KNOW me!!"

Oh. Oh. Was little Maddy doing this now? Her fur raised a little when she yelled, but The Cat didn't bother to look over. She was just some stupid kitty crybaby. She'd just continue along and try to find the furthest point in the universe from her-

Then the air got forced out of her lungs.

The Cat landed on the floor with a whoosh. Her soft kitten fluff stained dull brown across her back. The torbie had her pinned roughly on the floor, and she scrabbled her paws instinctively to try and break free. Did this kitten have the audacity to attack her?! She hissed, teeth showing and eyes narrowed with pure malice. Did little idiot Maddy want to play? 'Well, I do.'

She was just a new gembound. She didn't know any advanced fighting or magic, but she had instinct. And instinct she shall use. The Cat played dead for a moment. She stopped flailing, loosened her grip, and closed her eyes. And then, as fast as her newborn body could, pushed her long legs up and down. Her eyes were mere slits and ears pinned reflexively to her side, somewhat hindering her senses, but her claws came out and successfully raked what she hoped was soft stomach flesh. "I don't even have to 'know' you to see how witless you are!" she growled through clenched teeth.

Round: 1/5?
Attempt: Attempting to slash at Mad's belly with her hind legs.
Defense: Eyes squinting, ears pinned to head to prevent any jabs there.
Injuries: Mildly shook from being pinned, generally a bit weak from just being born (what a great time to start a fight, darling Twisted)

Apparently, this little Cat wanted to start a fight.

At first, it had seemed like The Cat was being complacent. How foolish Madhukar had truly been to believe such a ploy. Madhukar yowled and spat as the pain rode through her stomach, nerve ends firing and turning rage into energy for her to use.

'You picked the wrong opponent, Cat!'

Madhukar gritted and bared her teeth and stared down at The Cat, eyes narrowed, tail and hackles raised and bristling, maw wrinkled back and ears pinned. She was still trying to keep The Cat held down. The torbie's glare dripped with malice into The Cat's eyes. Soon, if this went well, ire wouldn't be the only thing on The Cat's face.

Ready, aim, FIRE!

Round: 1/5
Attempt: Attempting to Electroball Twisted's face.

The tiniest rivulet of blood ran down The Cat's leg-- whether it was her own or Mad's, she didn't know. What an amazing way to start your first day of life. With a fight. But now wasn't the time to ponder her bad decision, it was time for bloodshed.

The siamese kitten smirked a little as she yowled, relishing in the agony she seemed to experience. This was going great! The Cat was just about to start again when she suddenly... coughed up a furball. What? But the disgusting wad was coming right for her face, and when it landed, it hurt. Miniature arcs of electricity zapped around her dark face as she screeched, scrunching up her eyes to prevent it from hitting there. Her body arced violently, instinctively, desperately trying to throw it off until it landed on the floor with a plop

'Oh hohoh. Was that another one of your magic tricks, kitty?' She didn't bother speaking, but her mind was full of curses she just invented. She needed to get out of this pin before this stupid torbie unleashed another one of her gags. She flattened her ears further, raising her hackles and curling her broken tail in as best she could. The Cat didn't want to risk hitting something important. She glared Madhukar directly in the eyes, before suddenly surging upwards, pushing off her weak hind legs and slashing blindly towards her face. Perhaps clawing that pretty little face of hers would get her to get off...

Round: 2/5
Attempt: Slash upwards in attempt to break the pin
Defense: Eyes squinting and closed briefly, ears pinned, tail pulled in, and hackles raised.
Injuries: a little stunned and now with a furball in her face >:(

In a dance, locking onto your opponent's partner's eyes becomes a way to predict their movements. Was that true for battles? Maybe, but maybe not, seeing as despite their staredown, Madhukar had not noticed the claws coming for her face until it was too late; the only reaction she could make fast enough was tilting her eyes away so they didn't get destroyed. She kind of needed those, you know?!

Madhukar would hiss and spit more as blood began to trickle down her scratched cheek. Her belly felt warm too. This kitten was doing too much damage!!! What were you thinking Madhukar, this isn't how you hunt! Keep your distance, because distance is something you can ACTUALLY USE!!!

So The Cat succeeded in getting Madhukar to back off. Madhukar tried to backtrack quite a few steps; she wanted distance now. But she kept her head towards The Cat. Maybe this little brat would think she was running away, eh? Incredibly wrong and false assumption, but it could be a good way to, well, shock it.

Madhukar's glare remainly obstinately unwavering. Ready... she steeled herself in a wide position. Aim... directly over The Cat's head... AND--

Round: 2/5
Attempt: Attempting to cause a Thunderclap near Twisted to stun her with the noise.
Defense: Eyes squinting, maw wrinkled, tail raised, ears pinned, stance for balance, and distance between her and the opponent!
Injuries: Immobile PAW SORRY (left leg is mobile, left paw is not) + scratch on belly + big scratch on cheek!! >=(

The Cat felt the pressure on top of her alleviate. She quickly scrabbled backwards, little claws scraping against stone, and hissed. This stupid kitty managed to do quite the damage. Her back was sore, little sparks of static were still dancing around her fur, and her ears were still a little stiff from that magic-sparkle-booming earlier. She needed to do something, quick.

Of course, The Cat was a young cat. Like, very young. She was just born earlier this day. And her reflexes? Well, they weren't that experienced. The siamese didn't realize why Madhukar was staring at her like that until-- BOOM! The world went quiet in comparison. It was that same, horrid thunderclap, now right over her head! She was disoriented for a while; ears pinned, fur fluffed out, swatting wildly at the air above her and hissing. That stupid ringing was back in her head. 'That's it, Maddy.'

Enraged, the little kitten barreled forward in an attempt to knock the larger torbie off her feet. Her broken tail was still tucked under her body, making her look like a small, mad football. Once she was close enough, the green-eyed terror leaped out into a surprisingly good tackle before slamming down into the ground.

Round: 3/5
Attempt: Attempting to barrel into Mad and knock her down
Defense: Ears pinned, hackles raised, tail pinned.
Injuries: Little sore from pin, previously electrocuted and now probably with hearing loss :(

Clearly Madhukar's Thunderclap had been too weak, because while it had staggered the enemy, it hadn't done enough to keep this from happening.

Now the larger kitten had her back against the floor, feeling dizzy, pain haunting her from a seemingly farther place than she could reach; the adrenaline kept the full impact at bay, for now. This wasn't how this was supposed to go. Had it been luck? Had Madhukar been put at a disadvantage somehow? Why was this tiny punk... beating her?

She was hardly in the right mindset to be consumed by that loud, brazen kind of anger. She felt tired. She'd have to end this fast, she wanted it to end right now. She wanted to teach this idiot a lesson. She couldn't fail again, she couldn't... could she? Could the chaos welling inside of her do that to her... AGAIN?

Madhukar locked onto the thing that looked most like her opponent. Ready, aim... and you know the rest.

Round: 3/5
Attempt: Attempting to Electroball Twisted's face... again.
Defense: Eyes still squinted, ears still pinned, but she ain't doin' so hot right now.
Injuries: Immobile paw + scratch on belly + big scratch on cheek + DAZED!!! >=(

She'd gotten her pinned-- and with a lot more power than she expected. A proud smirk grew across her static-ified face as she stared her nemesis down. Her enemy may be tired, but The Cat? She was feeling as alive as ever!

That was exactly why she got a deep feeling in her gut when Madhukar started that horrid wretching. You know what they say: "Fool me once, shame on you, but fool me twice, I'll punch you in the face." Of course, that's not exactly how it goes, but that was what The Cat was thinking of. She didn't want another one of those electric wads, and she needed to find a way to get her to stop it, quick.

In a rather instinctive manner, The Cat reared her head away, squeezed her eyes shut, and smashed a clawed paw across Mad's face. Once again, it had a lot more power than she thought, and the siamese found to her relief that nothing charged hit her pretty face.

Round: 4/5
Attempt: lil' s m a c k across the face to cancel that electroball

Injuries: Sore, previously electrocuted and with paining ears
