Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

Hope is but a waking dream
Aristotle stuck his head back in the bush inspecting the nest. He was looking for a feather, and he happened to find three, beautiful multi-colored feathers resting loosely in the bottom of the nest. Giving a listen to make sure the rainbow spinner was not returning to its nest the lion plucked the three feathers from the nest and gently placed them in his bag with the gems. He would take those little treasures home to Sun. He was sure the little gibbon would love to see them. He would have to bring Sun here sometime and find a place with a flock of them and sit and see if they couldn’t entice them in to be friends like he had that one time. He was sure Sun would love to see the tiny little rainbow colored birds.
So far things were going pretty well. He was proud of the interestingly shaped stones he had found. Each one a different stone, and each one a unique shape. He wasn’t sure why but he was beginning to like hunting for gems. There was a thrill in the hunt and wonderful surprise with each new and different stone he found.
The lion closed his eyes and took a deep calming breath. The lion centered himself and dug deep inside himself for the wellspring of magic inside him. Grabbing at the magic he tossed it out in the form of an invisible magic net. As his net touched the ground, a nice sized hole appeared in his net telling him there was a gemstone nearby.
Aristotle trotted off in the direction his magic told him it was. The tingle in his back telling him as he got closer. The lion began searching the area, his baby blue eyes looking over every inch of the ground. Aristotle found the gem resting in a small patch of orange lilies. The lion picked up the gem and swiftly placed it in the bag in yet another fluid motion. This made stone number seven. James would be so happy when he came home.

Hope is but a waking dream
A strange feeling crept up on Aristotle. His magic was strong with him. He couldn’t help but wonder why James magic had seemed to completely leave him. He wasn’t sure what he was feeling exactly but for some reason he felt bad for his magic seeming to always nearly answer when he called for it. Why did his magic come when he called, and James did not? Was it because James had injured himself? Or was it something worse? Had his magic just vanished? Did it matter? It did to James and so it mattered to Aristotle, he wanted to give James the answers he wanted.
Aristotle shook his head again trying to push these thoughts to the back of his mind. James was at home waiting for him so he needed to focus on his task at hand. He had been gone for several hours already, and so he needed to start thinking about heading towards home soon.
Again Aristotle closed his eyes and took a deep calming breath. The lion centered himself and reached in deep for his magic once more. Again he pulled at and created an invisible magical net and cast it out. It didn’t take long for a break in the net to appear and the gemstone didn’t feel very far away. Aristotle started off in the direction he felt the gemstone. His back tingling more and more as he approached the last gem he intended to take. The lion found himself in the near area of the gem rather quickly and began searching the immediate area. It didn’t take him long to find the gem. It was resting on the bank of a small stream, the soft shining of the gem catching his eye immediately.

Blending in with the orange lillies is a Zincite containing Fledgling-level magic. It takes the shape of a few ridges, like an alligator's scutes and spans about six inches long.
Aristotle finds a Master-level wascoite jasper lying in the riverbank. Its mottled brown surface has a number of inclusions the color of verdigris; the shape resembles a four-pointed star that's about one inch across.
With his bag holding his prizes the lion turned around. He was now finished with his mission from the Collector. He had his five gemstones with life in them. And three more to keep for himself. Now he just had to go home and make sure James was alright then he could make his way back to the room of bones where he had found The Collector to begin with and give him the stones. But first he needed to make sure that James was okay.
Something just felt off for some reason, as if something bad had happened and he hadn’t been there to keep everyone safe. The lion took off at a fast jog being sure to keep his energy but still hurry back home. His broad paws carried him quickly through the underbrush. His mane getting caught on bushes and brambles every now and again they snagged pulling painfully at his fur. However he ignored the pain and kept on at his steady pace back to the tunnel and out of Eridanus and back to Orion where Sun and James were.
