He watched as she created glass from whirling sand. He wasn't sure what she was trying to do--manifest some of it into one location, maybe?--but it was magic, at least.

"I wonder if that is stone?" he mused, eyeing it. He hadn't the chemical knowledge or science background to differentiate one type from another. Was this quartz? Did it count? Pride didn't know. Felina also hadn't spoken, hadn't mentioned what she was doing or why, so he took a guess at it. "If you are trying to form gemstone from sand-? I suppose that is one way to do it. It does give you something similar to work with," he went on, "though I imagine its color and shape will often be the same: clear, sharp and jagged." But it wasn't something against it; surely the glass still had its uses?

He lifted one shard up with his own magic, drifting it to eye-level and turning it this way and that. "It might make a good weapon, or a cutting tool," he said at last, and then gently set it back down amongst the rest.

"My apologies", said Felina, "I was concentrating so hard that I didn't want to talk. I was afraid i'd 'lose' the spell. I was trying to make a small pile of rocks, stones and pebbles...and I succeeded!" She gestured a forepaw at the perfectly symetrical pile. Wow! She could never do that before!

But, then she yawned. Majick was tiring. She was quite fatigued.

"I should get some sleep, Pride. I'm absolutely spent! I'll be ready to learn more spells in a few hours."

With that, she laid herself down right next to the little pile. Her breathing became steady and regular. She was sound asleep in seconds.

"Oh, certainly," Pride responded. "I may not be here when you wake, but you can find me again, in the future, if we have trouble crossing paths, hm? I am always happy to help where I can. Rest well," he added, dipping his head in a bow.

He eyed her with bemusement as she almost immediately dropped off into sleep; and then he turned and left, pacing quietly away.
