Khavur crouched in waiting, watching placidly, diligently, to see what its little sibling would choose. Ah, the chase? Well enough then. As soon as the mouse went flying, the beast went bounding after it, folding in its wings and keeping its heads from bobbing in different directions as to attain higher speed.

The mouse shouldn't really have had a chance, but alas, it ducked under a crevice far too small for Khavur to fit even a single snoot into. The large-horned head huffed out Khavur's disappointment, while the small-horned was turn to look back at the little sibling, its expression morphed to convey the misfortune that had just occurred. "Couldn't catch in time," Khavur spoke with the small-horned head. "Into darkness it fled." Maybe that statement was a little weirdly worded. Khavur didn't really care, it sounded nice in its head. Words popped in that mind all day, every day, for weeks! It had to learn to use them somehow. Maybe once it got better at words, it could make even more strange sentences. That would be fun.

"Seek another?" The large-horned head also twisted to look at the little sibling, its face displaying Khavur's frustration -- mostly at itself. It was as if Khavur were an arcade box, offering its sibling the opportunity to 'PLAY AGAIN?'. With the patience of a predator, the beast would await the response. Deep down, something was heating up in its belly, boiling and broiling with an emotion Khavur had not yet felt before.

Surely that feeling would be given a word soon enough.

Chaos-Two shook his head out and made his way over to Khavur, sitting down with his legs off to one side, already pretty sore, "It okay."

He nuzzled Khavur's leg gently and sat there for a few moments, staring off with his shoulders slouched, ears drooping. He just... hurt. He'd already gotten used to it, but really, there was only so much one could take, especially when you were basically still a baby.

He wanted to eat, but hunting was just so... hard. He shook his head and stood up, toddling off with determination in his steps. He was going to find a mouse!

Though after about 20 feet of walking, he sat down again, then he lay down, holding his hind legs up as tears threatened to well up. It hurt! But he had to be strong! He couldn't cry, couldn't show weakness.

The often indolent and thoughtful beast was moved with compassion to see its sibling try yet again to look for a mouse. 'Poor thing,' the thought made its way into Khavur's mind, one of the very few that felt deeply deliberate and meaningful, like speech instead of just a succession of emotions. Khavur now knew the little sibling's pain. It was a duller version, they were aware; the use of the magic itself had felt duller than it could've. But Khavur could only imagine it being magnified, and then lived again and again, every waking hour. Was that what it was like for his-- its little sibling?

The creature began to slink away, its small horned head speaking a reassurance to the little sibling: "Wait. Will be back."

Khavur was going to find the mouse, and catch it this time. Little sibling would not have to go through that pain. The beast reached for its magic, the art ingrained, buried deep within itself. But it did not obey; instead, it left Khavur wishing yet again for powers it did not have. The senses to see and hear to greater lengths than was natural for it.

It would move back to its little sibling. "Will try again until mouse is found. Do not worry. Do not hurt."

Chaos-Two snuffled softly and tucked their front legs under himself, ears perked up as theywatched Khavur slink away, before returning. They could only guess that the bigger of the two had failed at locating anything nearby.

"Dun hafta," they said, shuffling towards Khavur to snuggle into its leg, weakly lifting a leg, unable to get comfortable.

They were to naive to know, but they were lucky that Vargas was elsewhere. Any sort of weakness could mean bad things. At least Khavur seemed to be on their side.

"Froot?", they bleated, shifting their butt to the side and letting their legs sprawl out.

They could eat both meat and fruit, being a sort of omnivore. Half herbivore, half carnivore, with a diet so confused with themself that even Chaos-Two barely knew what they wanted to eat half the time. So they simply went with what had so far rested in their stomach alright.

Attempting to get up, they stood awkwardly on their front legs, hind ones limp as they tried to drag themselves forward, grunting and growling at their own weakness. It hurt to move at all, but even so young they'd already had the instinct to be strong embedded in their mind. If they could just get a little bit of help, they could get going again.

Khavur's tail instinctively tried to curl around the snuggly young sibling. Khavur's brows furrowed. A new feeling, not taken from anyone; guilt? Disappointment? Failure. Ah. Perhaps this was why training was necessary. Khavur was just so... ignorant of its powers. Ignorant of how to use them.

'Froot?' If you blinked, you could've missed the slight, brief widening of Khavur's left-horned head's smile. It was gone in a flash, replaced by the response of the large-horned head: "Froot..." Where could they find that, eh? Their little sibling was hungry still, and so were they!

It looked like the little sibling was trying to get up again. Khavur offered a paw for grappling onto, for assistance. It already knew that sometimes this sibling needed assistance. The selenite did not as much, but seemed to want to climb Khavur anyways. Khavur was fine with it all, a stalwart tower of infinite entertainment possibilities, if the player had the right mind to find them.

"Where froot?" Khavur scented the air. Not a thing would be sensed, for it. Usually others had better luck with these kinds of things. Knowing that made Khavur feel it again. That sickening pit, slowly growing and festering in its chest, reaching down for its stomach, and out for its heart. A consuming sensation that Khavur would do many things in an attempt to... to burn it to smithereens.

"Um... thataway," they said, latching onto Khavur's hand to pull themselves high enough to sluggishly get their legs under themselves.

Chaos-Two's hind limbs shook as they limped forward, staying close to the other in case they stumbled. It was a few steps later that they sat down again, ears pinned to their head.

"... Can't," was all they said, head drooping, "It hurt."

Sniffling, they looked up at Khavur, reluctant to ask for help. They hoped the other would get it before they had to, but their mouth was moving before they could stop it.

"Help?", they asked, frustrated and angry at themselves.

Chaos-Two knew they were weak, they didn't need the constant reminder their stupid body insisted on giving them. They wanted more medicines, for it numbed the pain and allowed them to jump and buck and play around with the others. They couldn't be weak in front of them.

A direction was given, and so they walked, Khavur's hand supporting the little sibling for as long as was possible for those strange little legs. Khavur stopped when the little sibling did, once again trying to empathize. Magic reached out, in attempt to feel that emotion in greater depth than even imagination could fathom. And Khavur felt it, like it was its own; pain, so much pain, and reluctance. Khavur used a single head to whimper at the feeling; which head remained an enigma. "It hurt," Khavur echoed back, having no other words it could steal to describe that mirrored emotion.

The question finally came out, a tightly bound spiral of toxic mentality unraveling in a single word. It would quickly rewind, not that Khavur was to know any of this. The great beast would nod, and pick its sibling up with the jaws of one head, lowering the other, and gingerly placing the sibling on the lower head's back. "Ride," said the large-horned head. Khavur had given the little sibling the small-horned head to ride upon.

Fire was beginning to lash out in Khavur's mind, wishing to burn this trace of weakness, this pain it felt. Khavur knew the pain would subside for itself. It wondered if it did so with its little sibling too, and if so, when. A brief moment of internal conflict resulted in a concept rising from the ashes: it was okay for the little sibling to ask for help. Khavur was the one that had to be strong.

How to be strong, though?

Suddenly, for a moment, Khavur wanted another nap.

It resisted its urges, and carried on in the direction which the little sibling had appointed it to go.

Chaos-Two squeaked when they were lifted, instinctively lifting their legs and curling to allow for better grip. They were set on the smaller head's back and quickly settled in, front paws in front of it. They blinked a few times and yawned, big and wide, letting their arms hang on either side of the smaller head's neck.

"... Cherry...", they mumbled, pointing to one of the heads, and then to the other, "Juice."

Satisfied, they dragged their tongue over Khavur's back in a small show of affection, before bleating softly and pointing off in the distance again. There was fruit, over there!

"D... ock... terrr," they slurred, "He haz froot."

Clapping their hands childishly, they giggled, bouncing their front half happily. This was already fun, and they hadn't even moved! They remained oblivious to Khavur's feelings, a grin on their face.

Some of that fire was tamped down by the little sibling. The little noises, the squiggling and squirming on one of Khavur's necks, the names it saw the little sibling give each head, and the little lick-kiss, all of these things worked to drain Khavur of its ire. Both heads smiled. Two new names for Khavur, REAVER OF THE DARK ABOVE! And yet they still felt unsatisfying.

Who Khavur was was a mystery, even unto itself. That was the point of the life it had been granted, in a sense; to find out. Due to the circumstances of its creation, it would likely have something to do with havoc and chaos. But there were certain elements of a creature's sentience, of its soul, that 'havoc' and 'chaos' don't address...

Outside of its head, though, Khavur simply echoed the name "Cherry" using the mouth of the one the little sibling had deemed 'Cherry', and "Juice" using the mouth of the once the little sibling had denoted as 'Juice'. The directions given were followed, as the great two-headed beast called 'Cherry and Juice' lumbered towards the Doctor's office.

"Doctor?" Khavur called, once they had arrived.

While they waited, Khavur looked at its little sibling with the big-horned head. "How hungry?" It wanted to make sure its little sibling could stand a wait time.
