The dragon, alarmed, took wing. Another roar escaped him, and he flapped rapidly skyward, spiralling, searching for the mysterious banana-spawner.

...He hadn't done that, had he?

He circled back, rapidly winging away, and took a few moments to find the crystal he'd planned to try and blow up. But the moment he located it, he found that it had somehow shed his bile-like pyrogel: it was gone, splattered on the stone around.

Dread landed, staring at it in bemusement. What was this?

He aimed another glob of spit at it, but this one went nowhere--only a little liquid, and somehow the crystal dispersed it. This time it was visible, now that he knew what to look for... a force-field, of sorts?

Strange.

...Whelp, THIS wasn't working. Time to go and get some sleep, again...
