Ketur still hasn't left the pools of water. They... liked it. How soft and quiet this specific place in Eridanus was. They lied in the space next to the pools of water, a claw barely lingering inside of it.

The dragonlike creature was glad that for the most part, that not much happened where they lingered. And that there was tons of plants they could munch on there. They still didn't know if they would ever leave.

Comet was tired after traveling to Eridanus. That meant finding some water drink and rest by. And... perhaps do other things. She cast out her senses in the hope of detecting a good water source. There, she found it, it led her to The Eyes. The very place where she had hatched, although the fragments of her chrysalis were long gone.
She bent down her head to lap up some water, not noticing the other animal there.

Ketur did see the other small gembound approaching- it made them stand up and watch the canine carefully. She didn't seem to notice that Ketur was there. Slowly, the hybrid sat back down on their haunches, glowing eyes watching the other kid drinking the water in the eyes.

Ketur didn't really know what to say, or if they should say anything.

When Comet finished drinking, she stood up and shook her fur. Small droplets of water always caught on her fur somehow. She looked around calmly, and spotted the hybrid. Threatening? Perhaps. Comet felt her fur instinctively stick up but she tried to keep calm. But she couldn't, and bared her teeth. "Who are you?"

Ketur watched as the wolf finally noticed them - teeth bearing and questions being demanded an answer for wasn't something the creature expected. The gembound's spines lifted, sharp looking but not able to slice. The fur that they did have stood on end.

Ketur tried their best to shove down their weariness but failed.

"Ketur."

Comet watched cautiously as the creature lifted their spines and the few pieces of fur they had. "Comet." she gave a slight nod. Now that she looked, they didn't seem very threatening. She calmed down a bit and walked closer to the water. "Peace." If they decided to mess with her she was lucky she had water nearby.

The wolf told them her name, and Ketur still didn't relax. They flexed their claws into the ground below, wanting to run. But they had to show some form of not backing down right? This was their home - they couldn't just let someone bully them into leaving.

And then she called for peace, and the spines on their head and neck slowly went back into a less defense look. Granted they always stook up, but less so now.

"What did you come back here for?" they questioned. The wall wasn't as green as the other parts of Eridanus, surely most would want to be within the plants.

Comet was relieved when she saw that they listened to her call for peace, and lowered their spines a bit. "For a drink. I like visiting this place because it is where I hatched." she looked around, half expecting to still see the aquamarine remains of her chrysalis, but of course, there were none. "What about you? Why did you come here?"

So the wolf also hatched here. Ketur was okay with that. They wouldn't try to chase the wolf away. Ketur wasn't sure they could even do that anyway - Ketur wasn't mean and they had no idea how to fight, let alone do anything else.

"I hatched here too." They answered.

Wow, this... weird animal was very boring. Or were they just shy? Either way, they didn't seem like they liked to talk much. "Oh." Comet looked them over. "Do you eat meat or plants?" Their sharp teeth hinted that they were a carnivore, but they didn't seem to be the hunting type.
