Comet
Arctic Wolf
Comet looked in surprise as her two parents arrived. They took protective stances on her front left and right. She was happy to see them here, and was about to say so when she felt the fiery explosion. It singed her fur, but she didn't feel too much pain from it.

It was only now that she realized how different her parents were, Aristotle was more defending her while James encouraged her to help them fight while also shielding her. She noticed that the horse took care not to block her view.

Great, that meant it was time to try out her one offensive spell, and see it would be able to aid her in this fight. Inhale, she felt the magic stored up in her body. Unfortunately, something went wrong, and she felt herself get an intense headache instead. She fell onto the ground, howling in pain. How unlucky she was that her magic would fail her at this time.

Action. Thought. "Speech."

the hybrid had only recently awoken from a surprise hibernation, and what a surprise, things had gotten chaotic so soon. polaris had become cold and filled with snow, and now, as per the strange bird-hyrbid's word, a fight had broken out. her heart ached as she considered joining, her muscles ached and it was the least she could do to help, after her previous crimes. how could she not?

maybe i should go see mother soon...

she shook the thought away, running to the scene of the fight. she immediately froze, quite literally, the cold not horrible but unexpected, as she'd only been here few times before. the golem was huge and terrifying. she practically squeaked in fear at the sight, but mustered up the courage to try to do something.

she looked around. what magic did she know? did she know any? she had vague memories. she looked around, looking at the crumbled pieces of rock and rubble scattered throughout the cave, following. she went to pick one up, heavy on her jaws, and tried to throw it.

she didnt exactly completely know what she was doing, but she yelped in surprise as she spun around and the rock released from her jaws like a heavy frisbee, knocking into the ursa with a loud clink

Whatever the heck was happening here, Madhukar felt she could have no possible idea of hoping to describe. It could've all been a hoax of some kind, some tomfoolery her brain had decided to plague her with, for all she knew. But when in Rome, do as Romans do; the same applied to Dreamland. If everyone was out there fighting... a giant walking mound of rocks then so be it. Madhukar felt like her magic could be easily exhausted now thanks to her previous recklessness in using it. Magic also didn't seem to be working so well for the fire guy who'd summoned that massive swath of meteors. Well, okay, yes the magic had worked (and it had been AWESOME), but the blast that happened after it felt like it couldn't be coincidental. Among those two reasons were at least two or three more Madhukar could come up with to try to convince herself to cool it and back off from the magic trigger, but she figured that since she came up with them, she already, knew them, and didn't have the time to list them all out anyways.

So, in short, it seemed Madhukar was going to have to do this without magic.

Fun.

That blast (which hurt and bewildered like nobody's business) was enough to tamp down her giddiness. The idea of having to fight with her own tiny kitty body finally tipped that excitement over the edge. Now that her emotions were hopefully in check, she could focus, and oH MY GOSH TAHI WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! Welp, so much for self-control.

Madhukar came barreling towards the rock monster at top speed, coming in at a different angle from where Tahi was. Following along with the rest of the crowd of angry head butters, Madhukar would also be trying to toss her itty bitty self at a mountainous beast! But at least as she charged, she'd say "NOOOO! GOLEM OV' HERE! LOOKET ME!!!"

Maybe that would keep that idiot mushroom deer somewhat safer.

Catalyst had not heard the call. No, she came afterwards. Hearing a mottled grey and white creature calling for help. Naturally, she was curious. The words of the smaller raptor spurred her into action. With a whip of her tail, she made off for Polaris. Curiosity had gotten the better of the raptor, for better or for worse. She drove forward, though the ice and snow. The flakes settled on her scales, and chilled her pebbly hide. She tucked her arms close to her torso. Golden eyes burned as he took in the scene. Chaos. Thats all it was. The tunnel was both burning and freezing.

Gembound rallied with a creature much larger, in combat with a golem. Larger than most golems she'd seen in her life. And from the looks of things, they could use some help. She scraped the ground with a talon, ducking closer to the ground as a stalking cat. She had nothing to lose. "I'm here to help!" She called out, and charged into the fray. A giant foot stomped in front of her. She stopped short, with a shocked cry nearly avoiding being stepped on. Intervening in this fight would require more tact. She backed off, observing the fight, searching for an opening--any opening, with quick, bird-like movements and a keen eye.

Kalama would show up wherever there was a good fight. And a place to boast about her battle prowess. A giant golem to fight? Sign her up. It was her time to shine. Truth be told, she probably would've fought it solo. It didn't take her long to arrive from Canis--mostly because she was beside herself with bloodlust.

She ignored the cold flakes on her feathers, driving further and further into the tunnel until she could hear the cries of gembound and the heavy steps of the golem. And there, in the midst of the snow was a dark blur with streaks of cyan, surrounded by gembound and larger creatures.

"Hah! You picked the wrong moment to show up, golem!" That golem was as good as dead, now that she'd shown up. Not that the golem could either hear or understand her. Kalama at least had the sense to keep from monologuing at the beast. For now. "I'll show you what a real fighter looks like!"

Kalama charged at the golem. She didn't wait for a moment to strike, left everything up to chance. And as chance would have it, she got to the golem. She struck at the golem with talons and claws, scraping at whatever parts of the golem's rock solid body she could hit.

Ahhhh, hell. Nemesis had missed the start of the show, but after hearing through the grapevine that a massive fight was going down in one of the new tunnels and everyone and their dad was there-- hey. She was not going to miss a throw down. She came stampeding down the tunnel, sliding to a stop when she saw the absolute mass of gembound engaging in what was like Raheerah Wars 2.0 Electric Boogaloo (she had missed the first World War Dragon showdown, but hey, no way was she missing the next biggest thing.)

The first thing she saw was that a bunch of inexperienced kids (from her perspective) and TINY BABIES who had no business getting up in the titan fight were charging forward, and it made her skin crawl with goosebumps. Oh, hell no. Hell no hell no hell no! With a snort, she kicked it into high gear and rushed forward, yelling. "Hang on! Careful! You're all out of your damn minds!" So was she, but hey, at least she had the experience to back up her careless charging.

"If that thing lashes out, GET BEHIND ME!" She demanded in a roar, pushing herself to the front of the charge and brandishing her frill and horns like a wild shield in front of her. What could go wrong?

Rainstorm could hardly tell what was going on. From the sound of it gembound were fighting with something.... all of the sounds were preventing them from using wha they had gained from the trial to help. Echolocation was so very different from sight.

A voice was calling out from the others. Yelling about a golem. Rainstorm could hardly focus on the voice, but they chose to attempt to send a spell that way to help. Whatever they were fighting would go after the one that was bringing the most attention wouldn't It?

Esther had heared about some weird rock golem thing from some gembound running around screaming about it. So, they had to show up. Esther knew their fire couldn't burn rock. They had other ways of fighting though.

Esther had come crashing in on dragonlike wings, still not entirely used to them or the feeling of having them there. But they were aiming straight for that rock thing.

Morpho had heard of a fight happening from the small monochromatic bird-creature he'd met briefly once before. However, he hadn't exactly understood how bad it was until he entered the chilly, chaotic cave. Through the snowstorm and the many, many shouting voiced he spotted his opponent- a big rocky creature.

He carefully made his way through the chaos, bee-lining towards the golem with his claws at the ready. Once he got there, he aimed at what he hoped would be a weak-spot with both of his claws. He couldn't make rocks, bleed, but maybe if he hit it hard enough, something would come loose? The blunt edge of his claws made contact with rocks, (hopefully) hurting the rock-beast as much as hitting what felt like a boulder hurt him. Ouch..

The call had not gone unnoticed. Dread, in the distance, had been resting from his ordeals: and the other dragons were not far off. Carja made it there first; but Dread was not far behind. His black form, wings outstretched, shot out from the thick snow into visibility overhead--a screeching roar echoed from him, a normally deafening sound muffled by the storm.

Another beat of his wings, and he dropped lower, spying the target, neck outstretched; he could feel the fire building in his belly. He didn't know what they were fighting, or why. He knew, vaguely, that Astraea had said it would need to be done; and he thought that was here but was it now-? The stag had not, as implied, come to gather them in the end. Instead, the fight had simply boiled over before the master was ready, perhaps: and by fortune and curiosity alone was the dragon here. The explosions, all along the ground below, pleased him: for they were his own, the pyrogel he'd left behind, ignited by someone else. The falling balls of flame pleased him. The battle pleased him.

Spade-tipped tail swept up behind him, a stream of flame boiling down to engulf the stone bear; it was violent, chaotic, the bright thrill of the airborne predator alight in Dread's ember eyes. A single beat of his wings brought him up and away, his brief sweeping attack never slowed to a hover: and then the dragon circled around, high, turning and craning his head to watch his target, to calculate his next strike. Another roar--screeching, bellowing, immense--escaped him; a promise, a threat, an exultation.
