Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Comet laid in the snow. It felt good to do nothing for once. It was a good time for thinking about things, and contemplating problems. Everyday was full of opportunity and adventure for Comet, and so was today, but she just felt like resting. Which was just as important as doing something.
The cold snow pressed on her body from all sides, cold, comforting, and soft. The icy sensation spread across her lightning wound and numbed the pain. One of the many wounds she bared from her adventures. Usually, she was do instead of think, but today was think instead of do. And that felt good. She turned so she was laying on her back, with her legs in the air.
((This thread is open if you want to talk to Comet or whatever.))
Wow, doing nothing was harder than she thought it would be. Her legs already itched for her to move, or do something. But no, she was too tired for that. Maybe she could just practice her magic instead, she didn't know what, but she was waiting for something.

Comet
Arctic Wolf
The bubbles that appeared were not numerous, but it wasn't like she had expended a lot of energy on it anyway, now that she had almost mastered the bubble spell. It was one of her favorites. Comet decided to practice a more helpful spell, and hit the bubbles out of the air. It was not to problem of being able to cast it, it was her accuracy. The stream of water came out and popped the bubble. Clean, and accurate. But she guessed she was just lucky this time, she would have to practice more.

Comet attempts to Cast Spell — Fountain( Hit bubble )
Eridanus was nice and their little home in the corner was coming beautifully - oh it was so nice to be among so many friends!! - but sometimes a trip outside of the cave of endless green was a welcome relief. A trip to stretch her wings and flutter around properly, instead of being trapped by the almost suffocating canopy of leaves and branches. Oh how scared she was of ripping a wing! She didn't know if she's be able to emotionally recover from that.
Through Polaris she soared, graceful, beautiful, gleaming under the lights. Just having some time to herself in one of the most beautiful caves she could imagine when she saw something on the ground - bubbles? The river didn't make bubbles, did it? No, that was magic! That was a gembound down there! She changed her course, instead angling herself down to check out what was going on.
As she approached, she saw the wolf popping each bubble with a burst of water. Oh, this was delightful magic! "Oohhh, oooooghhhh! That's beautiful! You can make bubbles and water? That's amazing! Simply wonderful! So pretty!" She fluttered just above Comet's head, antennae twitching with fascination at the display.
Comet was busy popping her bubbles when she heard the cheerful voice. She looked around, but never thought to look up. "Hello?" Seeing nothing, she was going to continue when she spotted the flash of pink above her.
Looking up, she was so surprised that she let out a narrow jet of water that only narrowly missed them. "Sorry!" she felt something in her nose, the colorful dust from the fairyfly's wings. Comet let out a big sneeze, expelling her nose of the dust. "Thank you, It took some practice, but I got it now!" she remembered her manners, "Comet." she nodded.

Fairy giggled a bit when the wolf had trouble finding her, waiting patiently not far above her head for her to look up and see her, oh so beautiful her but didn't quite expect the little extra blast of water going her way. "Oops!" she swerved out of the way before it soaked her wings and weighed her down and one of her legs twitched a bit. "Be careful," she scolded. "That could have hurt!"
But whatever frustration she displayed for a moment was gone in a flash. "That's quite alright! Your magic is very pretty! Like mine!" And, of course, because she simply couldn't just watch as this wolf did all the magic she wanted, Fairy let off a bit of her own magic, creating a small sparkling rainbow in front of them, giggling happily at how pretty it was. "Don't you think it's nice? I love beautiful magic!"
She didn't quite understand the wolf's added comment, tilting her head a bit. "Comet? What's a comet? Is that the spell you did?"

Comet
Arctic Wolf
Comet folded back her ears when the fairyfly scolded her. Even though she had just met them, she wanted to please everyone, so even those words hurt a bit. Luckily they seemed to forget about it a second later.
The wolf pup smiled when they complimented her magic. She wondered what magic they could do! It would probably be very pretty. "Wow that is so pretty!" Rainbows were always pretty, and this one was especially so.
Comet was used to everyone asking her this question by now, since her name was not an actual thing. It wasn't a name like grass, or rock, or tree. "Comet is my name! I don't know what it is, but I just feel it fits me. What is your name?" A couple more bubbles drifted into the air.
She swelled with pride as Comet stroked her already inflated ego, feeling even more beautiful under the gleaming compliment. "Why, thank you! Lights are simply the most beautiful to me!" She fluttered her wings behind her for a moment, lost in thinking about herself briefly when Comet brought her back to reality.
"Ohhhhh" she responded, softly. "Oh, okay! Comet! That's a cool name! I'm called Fairy...beacuse I'm a Fairyfly! Clever, huh?" It wasn't very clever, but she seemed quite pleased with the name herself - plus, she couldn't help but love how it complimented her beautiful, fluttering nature.

Scattered lights draw his attention, the borealis of magic reminds him of the green-black of his waking, and he seeks it out for the vague familiarity. The light fades as swiftly as it was spawned and so he tries to move faster, only to stumble in the snow.
He does not give up, though. It does not even cross his mind to let the endless white take him, so he gets to his little cloven feet, shakes the dust from his rotund little body, and takes off again. Little by little he gets closer to where he has seen the light; then there are voices.
"Lights are simp--" cheered a tiny voice. He could not keep up with it; so small among the crunching of his body through the white. Sometimes he is drowning in it, like with the river. "I'm a Fairyfly! Clever --"
When he comes bursting on the scene in the next instant, it is through an embankment of snow. He leaves a piglet-shaped void behind him, and stands there blinking up at the more obvious shape of Comet; more appropriately, staring at the shining stone ear upon their head.
Fairy. The name seemed very fitting for the fairyfly! It wasn't clever, but Comet said nothing so as to not bring down their spirits. And it didn't matter how clever the name was as long as it sounded good! The additional fluttering of Fairy's wings caused her to let out another sneeze.
She was about to say something else when something burst through a bank of snow. Comet turned her head, to see a young hog. There was a word for that-- piglet! The piglet left a small hole in the bank of snow. There was a silence as the piglet stared at Comet's gem, and Comet stared back at the piglet, who was small, but not quite her size. "Um, hello!" It was very unexpected for a small piglet to burst out like that, or for anything to burst out.
