Well, here she was. Home at last. Items stored, paws resting, ready to take a break from adventure.

HAHA, just kidding! NO! There was still so much to be DONE!!! It was kind of fun, being a busy little mama-to-be-- or, whatever the hatchling would end up considering her. Kaimana had a knack for trade, for creation. She enjoyed thinking of what to make, what would entertain. Now she had fancy magic colors to work with! There was still probably much to find in Fornax.

Kaimana set off for the day, after a usual breakfast of fishsticks. She was going to look for some stuff, find some stuff, and bring it back if it was interesting!

Starting... now!

A new kind of... something. Kaimana hadn't expected it. It flooded her eyes and suddenly her vision was... different. It wasn't a distinct change from her normal sight-- this ability, whatever it was, felt new, and somehow restrained in magnitude. Not that she knew what magnitude it was even supposed to be at. For a moment, she was bewildered. How curious! How spontaneous! And after that moment was over, she was on her way. Another scan! Kaimana didn't really want to have time for a-waistin'!

Whatever was going on with her eyes, it hadn't stopped. Hadn't flickered. Hadn't inhibited her ability to see anything either, though, so she supposed she would just... keep it up, if she could. Yes! She'd keep sniffling about and carefully turning up stones and trying to get in on all the juicy gossip among the nooks and crannies. It was sort of like playing a game! And so far, her game was proving quite fruitful!

My my, she was on a ROLL! Her pace became rhythmic, clockwork, and she began to hum a tune. She wasn't trying to find anything that moved, so making some noise and grooving out a little bit wouldn't be too harmful-- unless there were, somewhere in these caves, stones that grew timid in the presence of music. For a moment, the jaguar wondered what a timid stone would be like. The only conclusion her mind came to was 'invisible'. If that were true, then just how many timid stones were hidden in plain view? Perhaps her new special sight could find them somehow! Perhaps this was MAGIC! And if she could find them, she could count them all. And then she would know!

Now her special sight kicked into high gear! She wondered what was possessing her peepers, making them see in such a funky way. To her tune, the jaguar began to wiggle. A little to the left, a little to the right! 'Yoohoo, special stones, fun items, come out come out wherever you are!' Her tail did little dances in the air as she swayed along the shore like how a cattail reed sways beside a pond. Maybe, once she was done trying to mess with her special sight, she could look for shells! Shells would be nice.

All of the sudden, Kaimana's eyes began to sting. She blinked once, twice-- ah! It wouldn't go away! She was beginning to tear up! That wouldn't be good for thing-finding. She gritted her teeth and let the eyeball juice wash away whatever was irritating her ocular orbs (hehehehe). A few more blinks, a moment's pause. Oh, but now her special sight was gone!! Oh no!!! Maybe she was supposed to look for pretty things by the shore now. That's what she'd try to do then!

And that's what she'd fail to do afterwards. The jaguar would take a seat on the sand for a moment, a little stumped as to what to do now. She'd place the backside of her paw gently upon her coral beard and consider, or a moment, where to look now. Nothing on the shore, but plenty, it seemed, among the plants and rocks. If she could see anything. Kaimana concentrated on her eyes, wondering if, like Comet, she could simply will them to do something cool. Maybe not freeze over, no -- maybe bring the special sight back? Could she do that or did she simply not have control over it? A moment of quiet, a moment of nothing but waves and the passive sounds of life. And then...

Nothing. A flicker of almost something, then a fizzling out which left behind a trace of mild irritation. Kaimana blinked it away, snorted, got up, and carried on along the shore. The nice thing about treasure hunting was that the water was ever moving, ever uncovering, and therefore those that lived beside it were ever discovering and rediscovering the gifts it laid bare from its depths. Kaimana could keep searching along this shore and, almost inevitably, something would appear. That was the majesty of the waters she called home.

Although, maybe it wouldn't hurt to dig a little deeper. As in literally dig a bit in the sand. Usually Kaimana let the waves do all the shoveling stuff, but hey, being a little proactive couldn't hurt, right?

Right! Cool cool. Yet another thing for her collection. Kaimana would take what she could get! It would all find a purpose eventually. And then, with time, it would lose that purpose and drift meaninglessly again. And then, with even more time, the paws of another thing-finder would reach it, clutch it, and hold it dear. Maybe those other paws would be mother's paws too. Kaimana's heart swelled at the thought.

She focused on her vision. She almost had something there! 'Come on, come on...' BOO-YAH! There we go. She'd done it! Hurray!

Aaaaaand maybe one last look around with the special sight, if she could manage it. Whatever this ability was, it sure did make her eyes feel a little tired after a while. And now wasn't the time for that! Now was the time for MAXIMUM VISION! ULTIMATE FINDING CAPABILITY!

Nnnnnnnope! Play time's over, special sight fizzlin' out. Well, okay, Kaimana couldn't really do anything could that, could she?
