TEMA, the Voidkin
There can be love in Chaos; just follow the Void

Tema caught up with ease. Perhaps she hadn't given them enough time to truly run for it, but she didn't find the heart in her to care as her jaws clamped around one of the walleyes. Had she just been looking and not hunting, she might have been disturbed by such strange eyes on anything other than a snail... but she was hunting and so it made no difference to her.

The kill was swift, her jaws being as powerful as they were made quick work of it and she let the blood fill her mouth. The warmth slid down to her gut easily, settling her loud stomach in seconds. The other rabbits had already slipped out of sight, though Tema didn't consciously notice the fact as she started to eat, enjoying the taste as she tried to ignore the knot of guilt that always settled in the pit of her stomach. It had been shrinking as time passed and Tema learned to start thinking of them as food instead of creatures, but today it had grown again and she would likely need to restart her self-training to loosen it.

Well, at least she could be proud of herself for giving them a shot instead of whipping a caged dog so to speak. Plus, the little ones had gotten away.

Fed and tired -both mentally and physically-, Tema started the journey back to Cetus after cleaning her face on the moss. This memory was best left far away from her home, washed away faster than the weather would clean up the scene she left behind.

No, she didn't want to kill. But she needed to eat, and that simple thought kept her going.
