The weird runes part sounded strange. And they glowed. Did someone enchant them with magic? Or were they remnants of something from long ago? Ancient... like the ruins in Orion. Who had built them? What had happened?

"I'm so sorry Carja." Comet never really thought about how it would feel like to be eaten before, although she often ate lessers. But not alive. Being eaten alive was a whole 'nother thing. Something that no one should have to experience.

The pup leaned against the dragon's head, and gave her some comforting licks. All she could do was hope that she would recover. Comet had never seen the dragon like this before, scared. It worried her, this had been a deeply unsettling adventure. "We're safe now. It's going to be okay." But was it? She was not going swimming in Fornax again. This experience had ingrained that in her mind.

Carja nodded mutely, her eyes, normally shining like jewels, rather dull. The experience had taken everything from her.

"... Let's go," she mumbled, "Let's go to our homes. Please."

She didn't want to stay any longer. She even managed to trot a few steps, though she slowed, too tired to go that fast. She wanted to leave and leave right now.

"... Let's agree to never come back to Fornax," she said, shuddering and coughing weakly, water in her lungs.

"Yes, let's go. I'll never swim here again, ever." agreed Comet. She would have to come back to Fornax sometimes to see Kaimana, but other than that, she wouldn't be coming here. Oh! Kaimana would have to be warned about this place. It was no good cave to raise a kid.

How had James been doing talking to Kaimana in this storm? She needed to return to him and tell him how fun it had been. A heart attack on his part would probably ensue if she told him about the huge octopus though. "Goodbye Carja."
