Mystaria was simply walking in this grand looking palace with wonder in her eyes. She was just a child, so her curiosity was greater than most gembounds. This place looked fun, but a strong feeling in her gut told her to stay out of rooms and places in the palace she was not allowed to go to. The small fossa had a big smile on her face at how wondrous this palace was. Did it belong to someone? Did royalty live here? All these questions raced through her mind. But, the child made sure to show respect towards the palace. It seemed very important.

Several swan-like birds swam up fairly close, examining the fossa as if wondering if she might, perhaps, have food.

Farther on, atop a ground-level balcony and peering out over the railing, stood the form of Isra: large, long, a rich blue and with the curling flames atop her head dancing in the dim light. She seemed to be looking over the grounds, and did not see the fossa.

Mystaria was having fun at the grand sight of the palace. Somehow, she spotted Isra and her eyes widened. Who was that?! The fossa scampered in the direction of Isra. Once she got to the balcony, the child looked up at Isra with wide curious eyes. Then, the child spoke loudly, but respectfully, her Irish accent clear in her voice. "Hello! My name is Mystaria! You have fire on you! You are very cool!" Mystaria was very intimidated, but her curiosity outweighed her nervousness. Hopefully she could make a new friend here. At least she hoped so. Mystaria kept a mental note to be respectful. Especially with a creature who looked like this.

Isra turned, staring downward at this one's approach.

Where were they all coming from? And why did they look like this-? "I am aware, thank you," she answered simply, her voice clipped.

Did it think she didn't know that she had fire on her? Or that she looked--what was it--'cool?'

The flicker of flame in her eyes remained a constant as she regarded this one, wondering what had prompted such designs.

Mystaria smiled as she looked at the creature. She sat down looking at the large beast with curious eyes. "What is your name? Is this place your home? If so, what do you do here? This place is really beautiful. I think there are some places here that are locked and I can't go into, so I stay away from those places to be respectful of whoever owns this palace. Oh, my name is Mystaria! I am what is known as a fossa." The child couldn't stop staring at the flames on creature. She has never seen a creature as regal as this in her life. She couldn't help but ask all these questions. She was just a child gembound.

Its immediate, incessant nattering had the Valkhound's teeth on edge.

"I do not," she said sweetly, "remember mentioning that I cared." A pause, as flickering eyes regarded the little beast. "May I suggest feeding the swans, perhaps?"

The small fossa could see that this creature did not want to answer her questions. So the child decided to respect this creature's wishes and leave it alone. From what Mystaria could tell from her voice, this creature was definitely female. Mystaria nodded smiling and spoke happily. "Sure! Feeding the swans sounds like a bunch of fun! Um, before I do that though... What do the swans like to eat? I don't want to feed them the wrong thing." Once Mystaria knew what to feed the swans she would gladly scamper off to feed the swans, and leave this female creature in peace. The fossa was excited to feed the swans.

The skull-faced creature seemed to grin, and her voice was sweet.

The words, not so much.

"Why, you, I would imagine. Now, please. I have things I must attend to." She turned, pacing gracefully off, leaving the fossa to its own designs--unless, of course, it talked back.

Then, she might reconsider her merciful nature.
