A white chrysalis sat within the flowers, surrounded by the things, it almost looked serene. Up until the thing cracked in the front and a cub fell from it, that is. Somnus, blinking his heterochromatic eyes looked around the place, wondering what the heck happened. Of course, he didn't know how anything worked, or how he had appeared out of what seemed like nowhere.

Behind him the Chrysalis was forgotten, instead, the small cub stood on his four paws, tail waving behind him. This place was beautiful, and the lion found nothing wrong with it except for perhaps the lack of him knowing what he was supposed to do there - or why he was there in the first place. The flowers did however, tickle the child's nose, causing him to sneeze.

Maybe the place wasn't as good as he thought.

Marshmallow was encased in what was possibly the smallest mammal chrysalis that has ever existed. Hidden among the tall grasses of the meadow, the light green peridot chrysalis blended in perfectly. Being so small and matching the exact shade of the grass, one would not be able to find the chrysalis unless looked very carefully.

No matter how comfortable it was inside the chrysalis, Marshmallow felt the sudden need to break out. She tried kicking her leg, but the walls would not break.

Aerie had broken off from Sharp and gone to explore, and was currently rolling around in a meadow, purring and having a great time! Her head perked up as she heard the sound of something breaking- or rather, shattering. She pushed herself onto her paws and attempted to float into the air, ears perked up.

She floated into the air and made her way towards the sound, her whiskers floating to either side of her as she hovered, tail drifting like a ribbon behind her.

"Hello?", she asked, scratching at her chin before curling up in mid-air, staring down at the golden lump.

@Somnus

The little lion looked to the larger creature that had greeted him, with curious eyes he stood up. She looked like some kind of... Snake thing. Somnus wondered how she even got around not having any wings, if he knew what a dragon was he would have been increasingly dissappointed that this one had no wings along her body. As of right now, though, the lion didn't have any opinion over her other than the fact that she was hard to look at floating around like that.

"Hello." The lion replied, waving his tail around.

He was completely unaware of the small thing trying to get out of a chrysalis nearby.

@Marshmallow

Marshmallow could hear some voices nearby, and started to frantically scrabble at the stone keeping her in. Predators! Predators! She needed to run! Her mind was not able to comprehend the fact that she would probably be safer from them if she just stayed in her chrysalis.

Of course, her flimsy legs didn't hold much strength, and she stayed trapped in her chrysalis.

Aerie cocked her head and tucked her tail under herself to float, her hands holding her hands- wait no, her feet. Her feet just also looked like hands. Her tail, so long it had to be twice the length of the rest of her, coiled around herself, draping over her shoulder.

"Are you alright?", she asked, "You're wet."

There was no rain, and the river was all the way over there- did the lion go for a swim? She remembered herself being quite wet when she hatched- maybe that's what was happening.

"Are you new?", she asked, her final question.

The question about being new... Somnus supposed he was. He had just come out of whatever shape the howlite was shattered in behind him. Somnus moved to shake the stuff out of his fur, the fluid ending up in various places on the flowers and grasses. Relatively dry now! He did kind of feel gross now that he noticed that stuff though - the boy would need a proper cleaning soon.

"I think so." He replied, finally.

An ear flicked at the sound of scratching.... Somewhere. He couldn't quite pinpoint where it was, but he did hear it.

"Did you hear that?"

The talking had stopped. Either they had walked away, or they had heard the noise she was making. Either way, she needed to get out! Her claws scrabbled harder than ever on the inside of her chrysalis in a third attempt to break out. Having been scratching at the same point over and over again, it broke, and Marshmallow tumbled onto onto the grass.

The serpent chuffed in surprise as the small bat tumbled onto the grass, yellow eyes wide as she peered down at it, wondering where the heck this strange little thing came from.

She perked her ears forward and ever-so-gently nosed the tiny thing, claws held up to her chest, "Hello? Are you alright?"

Was this a Greater or a Lesser? It was just so... small! Just tiny!

"Um, my name's Aerie,", she finally said, looking up at Somnus before turning back to the bat and inspecting it gently.

Despite Sharp still calling her 'Fluffy', she'd named herself after the winds above, the ones she occasionally liked to ride, despite having no wings. She was so light that just a simple spell could get her off the ground.

That sound came in the form of a tiny ball of fluff... with wings. Somnus didn't know what it was but he wondered how that thing was supposed to survive being so tiny like that. Surely it would get eaten before it could do much. Then again it could just hide in places no others could get. Somnus was glad he wasn't that tiny, he would hate it.

"I am Somnus." he introduced himself as well. No point in keep his name a secret if the others were also talking. If that.... small winged thing could talk.
