Marshmallow, still a bit dazed, looked between the serpent, and the lion. They didn't look too threatening, but they were much bigger than her, and intimidating. She wanted to return to her chrysalis, and away from their staring. But she couldn't so she did the next best thing. But being fresh out of her chrysalis, the magic would not come. And Marshmallow was left looking very intimidated by the two gembounds.

Aerie picked up the little bat in her talons and cooed, "Look! It's a lesser... it's so cute!"

It had to be a lesser- only they were as small as this teeny tiny little thing. She turned back to Somnus and cocked her head.

"Are you alone?", she asked, looking back down at the bat, "Are you alone?"

She, having been immediately adopted by Sharp the moment she hatched, could barely comprehend such a thing. Being alone... she wondered how awful that was.

@Somnus

The ball of fluff didn't talk back, and Somnus wondered if it was one of the 'lessers' the dragon creature spoke of. Somnus' tail flicked behind him, was it trying to hide? Glowing eyes flicked between the two. He almost debated wandering off, the two gembounds were getting boring. Or was it a gembound and a lesser? What even was a lesser? Before Somnus could leave, the colorful one asked if he was alone.

"I don't see anyone else here besides us." The lion replied, voice airy, though it might have seemed fake if one was paying enough attention. Fake politeness, at least he could get what he wanted from it.

@Marshmallow

Marshmallow allowed the serpent to pick her up in her claws. It asked her a question. "Alone?" she did not know what that word meant, but it made her scared. Something ingrained in her told her that whatever "alone" was, it wasn't a good thing. She shivered.

Then the other animal, a golden colored lion said something. He looked so... furry. Marshmallow marked him in her head as a good spot to sleep. She flapped her wings in an attempt to go over to him, not like she could fly of course.

@Aerie

Aerie caught the bat before she could fall, looking to Somnus, ears pinning, "Hey. I'm not alone, my mom's over there in the trees. Maybe yours could be there too!"

She turned her nose up and huffed, "Anyway... speaking of my mom, she's expecting me back any minute now."

She floated forward and dropped Marshmallow onto Somnus' head, floating a bit higher.

"Do you like... need anything?", she asked lamely.

Somnus wanted to slap the little thing off of his head when it landed there, it had no reason to sit atop his head! The small thing could move on its own. With a quiet rumble, Somnus didn't move from where he was standing, though. If he wanted to throw the thing he would have to wait for the one to be gone before he could even try it. If... He could even try it. Somnus didn't know how quick that little thing was, but it could talk so it must not be one of those 'lessers' that the big one talked about.

"No, thank you." The lion replied to the flighty one.

He still didn't know what he was supposed to do with the little puffball though. He supposed he could always eat it. Maybe.

@Marshmallow

Marshmallow was happy to be dropped onto the lion's head and fluffed up her fur. She used her teensy little claws to support herself, digging into his fur. It probably wouldn't feel like anything though, because of the sheer smallness of it. She wondered where the lion would go. That would probably be much more efficient that crawling herself anyway, since she wasn't exactly fast. Once she found a good spot to jump off she would.

@Somnus

Somnus couldn't feel the tiny claws digging into his own short fur. He almost shook his body, though, to grab the thing with his mouth instead of having it sit atop his head. He didn't though, instead choosing to stand still and see how long it decided to want to hang on. Somnus still kinda wanted to see if he could eat it - but maybe not. Sicne the small thing talked before.

"How long do you plan on staying up there?" The lion questioned at the small thing he couldn't see.

@Marshmallow

Marshmallow did not understand what the lion was saying, and she did not understand why he wasn't moving either. Jumping up and down a bit, she tried to tell him to perhaps go... somewhere? But since she weighed less that a gram, it barely made any difference. Suddenly, a word popped up in her head. "Rock! Rock!" Yes, that sounded like a nice place to go whatever it was.

@Somnus

Somnus held back a sound of distaste as the thing started jumping up and down atop his head. He almost dropped her, again. It would have been funny, too. But if the other gembound was still watching, Somnus did not want to make them angry. He did want to call the thing an idiot, where the hell was this rock that the thing even wanted to go to?

"Do you even know where you want to go?" The lion basically sneered.
