Forgraves leapt into the area, the empty vial in his jaws and the thick, rotten smelling mud still staining his paws and fur. he just generally smelled awful.

he panted, dropping the vial in favor to hold it under a paw.

"COLLECTOR?" he called out, voice breaking, out of breath.

His laughter came first, delighted, uproarious. Then he appeared, one clawed hand slapping at his thigh. "Excellent work, Forgraves; I couldn't have done it better myself. Ahh, but you should have heard him screaming-!" A pause, a tilt of his head. "He's still screaming" It was right about the time that Aquarian was consuming the muck--reasonable, considering how long the journey from Cetus back to Canis was.

In any case, the Collector seemed pleased, and his clawed hand dipped into his cloak. "May I present to you, the map to your future." And out he drew a large glass flask, perhaps eight inches tall. He moved to exchange this with the vial Forgraves had returned, speaking all the while. "May I present to you, the Flask of the Master Alchemist." He turned it this way, then that, the light catching and glittering over it as though it were diamond. "In ages past, held by an alchemist of great renown: others travelled the entirety of the caves to go to him, again and again. You spoke of herbs, and mixtures to aid others--well, here is your 'map,' so to speak. A metaphor, I remind you. Mixtures may be poisonous, or beneficial; there are a host of effects that they may have. This flask will aid you in that. Crush the plants, perhaps add water, or really place in any liquid. If it does nothing, the liquid will not change color. However, if there are effects of various types, the color will change--sometimes swirling many colors. I do not know which are which--you'll have to find that out through trial and error."

He gave the flask to Forgraves, and kept speaking. "Once you learn what the colors mean, you may mix any herbs within and immediately know what effect they will have. And the flask will intensify the effects of anything mixed within. I can start you off, at least, with one memory: anything that turns black, is poisonous."

he smiled up at the collector though, ready for his reward.

the listened carefully , not wanting to forget a single word. he watched the glass of the flask glimmer and with each word his deadly curiosity grew, and alongside it, excitement

he held the flask in his paws once collector gave it to him, eyes wide in admiration as he inspected it.

"fascinating..." he said, kinda out of breath at how... marvelous an object like this was. trial and error was what he was doing anyway. whats not a little more experimentation?

"this is absolutely wonderful, Collector! i don't know how to thank you enough, this will certainly help! thank you, oh thank you!" he rambled, eyes bright.

A deep bow; the glint of teeth in a pleased grin beneath the hood. "Enjoy," he crooned, and then, "ta ta."

A flash and silence, and he was gone.
