If she'd had a face, it would have blanched white. Madhukar brought back a large feather, and wanted her to... investigate it? Back-see it? Kitty felt a little overwhelmed, but offered a smile. She had no interest in wavering under Sunny's acumen, and she didn't want to disappoint Madhukar, even if this was challenge mode. Hopefully it worked on things other than plants -- Sunny had suggested so, and she didn't want to disappoint the actual cat.

She took a deep breath, sharp and sort of nervous, and placed a paw gently on the feather so as not to break it. Her eyes closed, and saw...

The ground beneath Kitty's paws seemed to vanish as she slipped into the vision...

... and as she soared. Over idyllic fields of green and conifers. Following the gentle curve of a winding river. Her wings were many and they were mighty, spanning many feet across to carry her—no, not her—his heft through the air. They tucked in as he approached a wall, and just when it seemed that impact was about to be made—! He dove through.

There was just barely a flickering of the sanctuary—and the glimmering white flower at its heart—within before the cast ran out.

Kitty's eyes opened again, and her ears pricked forward. Her head turned slightly to the side, and she started to smudge a somewhat vague silhouette of Azigh in the position he'd been in during her vision into the dirt. "Green," she said, only halfway paying attention to what she was drawing. "River. Trees. Grass. No' here. Other place. Flew into a wall, but no' a real one. Went through, inna new place." She frowned, squinting. "Had a... white... flower. 'N water. Bu' I didn' see much of it."

The red panda looked down at her rough drawing of Azigh, and then added outstretched wings. Her heart thrummed in her chest -- the feeling of flying had been terrifying, but alluring. She had wanted it to stop the whole time it'd been happening, but now she just wanted to be back in the air, confident in her wings and in their strength. "Came from these," she mumbled, and then looked back up at Madhukar. Waiting. Had she done it right? Would her friend be impressed? Kitty's fur prickled -- she was desperate to know.

Madhukar waited, noticing the wisp maker had conjured a smile. Madhukar would have made one up to, just to... I dunno, reciprocate, I guess-- but, unfortunately for the hatchling, Madhukar wasn't feeling particularly smiley so all she gave was a gruff-looking nod.

The hatchling closed its-- their? Their eyes? And made contact with the large feather. What came back was... enough to make Madhukar's jaw drop a little. A drawing...? Of what? What was that thing? And a description of scenery. It sounded like Eridanus, but that feather had come from Twisted. Who had taken it to the middle of a blizzard... Okay something weird was going on here. Even weirder than the frost in the thrumming shiny room.

"Went through, inna new place." What?! WHAT?!! No way, nah. This feather came from the self-proclaimed 'Twisted', it was a toy. Although, to be honest... it was a bit too big of a toy for someone so small. So then, why be so possessive of it when they wound up together in the snow storm? Why leave it behind for Madhukar? 'The Cat isn't worth your confusion, Madhukar. It was probably a power play.' A bigger question to ask, then, would be... what giant of giant-feathered creature lived in that snow storm? Or in Eridanus? This was a whole great big puzzle that Madhukar barely had the patience to care for, but... she knew someone who might.

Mysteries didn't always stick with the cat, however. We'll see if she remembered.

Madhukar blinked slowly at the hatchling before her gaze drifted to the snail again. "Tha' no magic? Yo' sure?" Madhukar then shifted her gaze to the hatchling. Again. "Wild." That was all she felt she could say. There was no other information she could properly register. Oh-- maybe also a "Thank," she could manage. The hatchling deserved at least some gratitude. They had taught Madhukar more than expected, and they had only just been born.

'Are all hatchlings powerful in weird little ways?' As if beating someone older than you right after hatching was little-- but alright, Madhukar, go ahead and undersell your past opponent. Whatever helps you tamp down the quiet embarrassment.

Sunny made a vague, unsure gesture reminiscent of a shrug. "I did not see with my magic-sense, but I saw my stones behind me -- my spell did not fail." Her eyestalks shifted a little, and she offered a facsimile of a smile. She peered at the drawing, but her eyes weren't really well adapted to fine detail and were rather poor, so she stopped bothering with it. "Perhaps someplace after the Earthquake," she commented, and then turned her attention to the red panda.

"And littler-stone? If you are needing a family, mine is always welcoming." She dipped her head slightly and then began to turn slowly back into her den -- she didn't really think she would be needed much more.

/exit sunny unless stopped (she's slow and you're outside her house so you can also just yell for her if you need her lmao)

She blinked at Madhukar, wondering why the feline was so confused by the vision she'd just conjured. Had she been expecting a different answer?! She paused, and shrunk back a little bit. Had Kitty done it wrong? "All okay?" she asked, her ears laying back against her will. She offered a nervous smile, waiting for Madhukar's answer. She didn't want to have done badly. She wanted Madhukar to like her.

And yet, Sunny assured Madhukar that her magic sense did not fail. Well, alright. For real this time, doubts assuaged. It was an impressive non-magical talent. Madhukar didn't remember much of her tiny kittenhood, besides hating that place and also Sniffles-- not hating Sniffles-- wait-- AGH nevermind. (She ought to let her grudge with Sniffles drop by now... she hadn't seen that one in a relatively long time.) Madhukar nodded to the snail, who promptly (but not quickly) made her exit. "Trus' yo' Sunny."

Now to the hatchling. Offered a place in the family among them. Sunny was like a mother to those she met. All of her time was slime time, perfect for being a snail in. Madhukar hadn't started out being all in on snails, but she had grown very quickly attached to Sunny and Sunny's familial members. None of them outright bothered Madhukar. She had actually talked directly to rather few. Maybe none, so far. Sunny's forming... organization? Thing here was favorable to Madhukar in many senses. She wondered if it would suit this wispmaker.

"All okay?" Madhukar blinked at it--them. "Yeah. All okay." What was the need for that question? Nothing had gone wrong. They had impressed Madhukar with their talent. Given her a mystery to stare at (and probably do nothing about). Madhukar had missed this hatchling's anxieties entirely. She'd been distracted! "Will-- wai', name?" Madhukar had known when she had hatched, pretty much. "Wha' is yo' name?"

Her eyes widened at the question. What... was her name? She looked at Madhukar, and then back at herself. "Uhm," she said, scrambling for an answer, "... Kitty?" A beat, and then, "M'name's Kitty." She was similar enough to Madhukar's shape -- she couldn't quite call herself a cat, because she was clearly different, but 'kitty' felt like it was close enough. She shrugged vaguely and looked back down at her drawing before smudging it away in the dirt.

"Kitty?" What? Madhukar's eyes narrowed. She looked more confused than disapproving. "Kitty." That word felt familiar, but Madhukar didn't know where she'd heard it before. More of 'Kitty' 's penchant for historical knowledge, perhaps? "Okay. Yo' join Sunny Snail o' no?" Sunny had offered but 'Kitty' hadn't given a response. The cat tried to be gentle, although it seemed that the hatchling had warmed up considerably and Madhukar probably didn't have to be so careful about tiptoeing.

Once Kitty made their decision, Madhukar was probably going to go off to get some food. Maybe Kitty was hungry. Madhukar wasn't entirely concerned about whether or not the wisp maker wanted to join them or not. Madhukar was not keen on confining someone to one place when they had just been hatched. Probably because she did not want to be Sniffles. She just hoped, whatever the choice Kitty made, it was the best one for them.

The question caught her off guard. Wait, which was she supposed to answer? What did Madhukar want her to say--? Well, she was friends with the weird snail, and... family... well, that wasn't a bad offer. So, the red panda made up her mind. "Yea, joinin' Sunny-snail," she decided firmly, looking around Eridanus. There were plenty of trees to climb here, anyway. No real need to try and go anywhere else.
