Arquia nodded, thinking that it must be very hard for something to be smaller than her. She also gained the knowledge that Carja had a sister, whatever that was. "What is a sister?" Did she have a sister?

This dragon had a friend too, who was also smaller than her. Boy, did this dragon know a lot of animals who were smaller than her. "Carja, Voidwing." Both names had a sort of distinct rounded sound to them. Her eyes watched as the dragon's tail flicked back and forth. She looked at her own tail, making sure to keep one eye on Carja of course. She had one big fan at the end, and she found she could open and close it.

"My name?" Arquia thought about it. Something to describe herself, it had to be fitting. Just like Carja's name was fitting for her. But... how could she describe herself if she didn't know what she was like? Oh, but she did. "Arquia." Only the small dragon herself knew what her name meant. It was a combination of two words, two words that she will keep to herself. Perhaps time will tell if she will ever explain what her name meant, but for now, it was kept a secret.

Her nose caught scent of... something. Her stomach grumbled. "Hungry."

Carja squinted and hummed, thinking, "... A sister is... someone really really important to you. But a girl. Not in any romantic way because that would be weird, but you have a relationship like nothing else. You're connected by family. I was adopted by my dad, and I love him. He's like a teacher. And I adopted my sister into the family, and I love her more than anything! I protect her with everything I have."

Her eyes turned sad as she thought about her family, and where they were. Mother had messed everyone at the raid up.

"I like your name," she said softly, "It's very pretty."

The dragon stood up smoothly and turned, facing the woods, "Oh! You're hungry! What are you craving? Sweet or savory?"

It would determine the young dragon's diet. Unless she liked lemons.

Arquia didn't understand some of the things that Carja explained, but she knew enough to get an idea of what a sister was. The thing that amazed her was the fact that she loved someone. And would protect them with everything, even her life. How could that be possible? How could anyone be liked that much? There was a twinge of sadness in her heart. She-- she wanted that. To be loved. But she was unable to trust anyone back.

Carja seemed to like that name, but then again, she didn't know what it meant.

She passed her tongue over her snout in thought. "Sweet." Now that she thought about it though, a sour fruit may also taste good. Arquia wasn't sure at all that Carja wouldn't poison her with food, but she figured that so far since the dragon didn't try to kill her yet, it would be alright. "I follow?" She would need to learn how to get food herself. Relying on others to do it when they might poison her was too risky.

Carja looked up into the trees, "Hm... get on my head and I'll walk around, and we'll find fruit for you to eat. When we do, I'll stand up super tall and you can reach them!"

She flopped her head down, her tail wagging behind her excitedly. She seemed incredibly excited to do such a thing, despite it not being flying in storms or climbing a rock wall just because. Everything was exciting!!

"Hey... I could take you to my family if you want," she said, "But you can also stay here, that's also okay. I can fly and come visit you if you want! We dragons have to stick together!"

She kept her head still, almost shaking with excitement to ferry this teeny dragon around.

Being a one foot tall dragon, going on Carja's head was like going on a tree. Scary, and you could fall. Touching anyone was scary actually, and touching Carja while also being that high up was a horrifying thought. But she would have to overcome her fears if she were to survive. And such a position would put her at an advantage too. Arquia scrambled onto the larger dragon's head, "I bite you if bad." she warned, entire body shaking with fear. She wrapped her tail around one of the dragon's spikes to secure herself on her head. The ground was so far below, and her wings were pretty useless as she had already learned.

Arquia both did, and did not want to go to see Carja's family. But the fact that there could be more Carjas, was a scary thought. She didn't have anywhere to go, but being with Carja meant she would have to be on guard one hundred percent of the time, which was not something that she wanted to do. "I think I fine by myself. I no need... help." Even though Carja was the one who was helping her feed herself. It was not good to have to rely on someone else to live, so the best option was living alone and not accepting help from anyone. She was pretty sure she could teach herself anyway.

Carja nodded, "Mhm!! You can bite me if I'm bad!"

She slowly lifted her head and stood, quickly trotting forward, her head barely rising and falling at all. She glanced around, not having to move her head to see with how her eyes were positioned, two at the front, two more near the sides of her head, and two along her cheek bones, allowing her to see downward, too.

"Oh this is so fun~!!", she chirped, "My sister, Lass, when we were children we'd do this so she could eat peaches! Oh I want you to meet her so badly, she's so sweet and kind and couldn't hurt a fly!"

She babbled on and on about her family, how Dread snored and how Sfartis (she giggled as she said it) was the best dad in the world with scales like night-time, and how he inspired her to turn her own scales black- but with a flare!! She's covered in stars now!

The fact that Carja agreed to being bitten on the head was strange. Almost as if-- no. The ride on the dragon's was smooth, but Arquia still kept her tail wrapped tightly around her horn. She half listened to Carja's chatter, mostly because she couldn't understand some of the words and also because she was too focused on finding some fruits.

But she gleaned the main impression that Carja loved her family very much, and they seemed to do many fun things too. A small part, just a small part of her told her that she should trust this Carja, perhaps even meet her family! What if-- no. Such a thing was impossible. So "oh" was all she said, listening to stories of things that she would never have. Couldn't have.

So she turned her attention away from what Carja was saying, and focused on looking for some fruit, giving the occasional growl if the her head moved more than usual. Which wasn't much, considering it was a very smooth ride. From the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a pink fruit, a peach. Although she didn't know it was called that. "Fruit!" Arquia called out, and used her tail to give Carja's spike a little tug.

Carja stopped immediately and turned towards the peach, lifting her head to it so that Arquia could reach.

"Nice catch!", she praised, "Go ahead and eat, just don't get me too dirty."

Though of course if Arquia did, that was okay. She was a baby after all, and babies were messy. If she did that just meant her daily grooming session would be a bit more tasty. She waited for Arquia to get the fruit, standing as still as possible, waiting patiently for the baby to eat her meal.

"This is a peach," she said, "I ate them when I was smaller, they're super sweet but they have a hard pit in the middle, so be careful!"

Arquia dug her tiny claws into Carja's head as she raised it, trying to keep her balance and not fall into her mouth. That would be bad. She ignored the dragon's praise-- she did not deserve it, the peach was quite obvious-- and reached up to try and grab the peach. As she reached up, her balance seemed to falter, standing on two paws was much harder than four. Her tail rebalanced her, and she managed to snatch it from the tree, placing the fruit on Carja's head. The mass of the fruit was probably more than half of her entire body. Now she had to try eating it. Only problem with this was her jaws were so small, was unable to get a big enough grip on the peach to bite it. "Can't eat." she said, a big loss indeed, how could she survive on her own if she couldn't even eat a stupid peach?

Carja reached up and gently took the peach, holding it up as she used a talon to slice it in two, before putting it back on her head, "There you go, now it should be easier to eat."

She laid down again, humming gently, "If you break big things into smaller sections, you can eat it easier."

She'd learned it from her own prey and her struggles as a small hatchling trying to eat a tree melon. She'd had to drop it off the tree to break it in order to eat it. But that was alright, at least she'd figured it out. Sometimes others just needed a push in the right direction, and some guidance so they could do it themselves the next time.

"If it's still too big, claw it up smaller," she said.
